It's nice that it is shown on the nameplate when someone is using earmuffs so you know you probably need to get closer. Because of this I can confirm that half of everyone in my circles use it at any given time!
Once you have your settings how you want them you can double click the volume icon in the launchpad to quickly toggle earmuff mode on/off. (Double tapping any icon does something if you didn't know!)
A friend actually told me about this right after I uploaded the video, I feel like that's such a cool thing that they added that they didn't need to add but it's so cool!
