The Black Cat has arguably one of the best and most wholesome experiences VRChat has to offer. The only gripe that I have would be that they're aren't enough mirrors to stare at.
100% haven't found a single mirror there, but that doesn't quite matter too much to me, since I'm there for the quiet and chill atmosphere, and I'm surprised how many people haven't heard of it yet ❤

Astral Bounds is an amazing world and has been my home world for months!! I always show it to my friends who are thinking of getting into VR, and they are almost always instantly hooked!!
I’d also like to throw my hat in the ring: Jintei13’s Initial D and Wangan Midnight worlds. Fully drivable cars, multiple of them, each with different stats, and even working time attack leaderboards. As well as forward/reverse variations of each Time Attack map.
YOOO THEY DID IT AGAIN As the video that really brought me back into VR and particularly into VRC (and I know I'm not the only one), this one really needed a follow-up Edit: STARLIGHT SPIRE MENTIONED
that idle game recreation makes a lot of sense. there may as well be other versions that do all the more advanced stuff that the more popular idle games do. imagine tapping a tree to get 'logs' and the surrounding world eventually loses trees, and then when you use log for building a house, a house will appear in the area where the trees are absent, with the goal being to eventually see a modern city. you can add more raw materials that require buildings to be made to process them into other items to build other buildings and over time end up with a sci fi city. all I just talked about only really needs different skyboxes to be loaded in over time.
I really recommend Kit Café, either Day/Night. Just a nice small café with a pool table, video player, great lighting for taking pictures, and even a working coffee/espresso machine with a tablet to teach you how to make the drinks
Damn they really got me at 13:02 with the music... I've been playing SM Sunshine all day and can't get that music out of my head 😂 and then y'all had to do that to me. I was really hoping there was an isle delfino world like the windwaker world 😢
I only stumbled across VR Chat a few days ago as there were references to it and a video popped up while researching VR headsets for racing/flight sim, I thought it looked interesting but this video has me completely sold, just wow, what people have built, I will save this video as there were many I want to see in person, amazing

the bar from va-11 hall-a has been my go-to for VR Drinking recently. I've clocked several hundred hours on the game and can make like 85% of the drinks from memory. it's a lovely world to chill in for lower-spec pc users too

@@Irritated_Considerably Ah, OK. This same thing happened to me also. I was using my full name as my handle and it was mysteriously changed to @annode, which I was using in YT, for what I forget now. It's all changed. I didn't try to change it back though. I kept annode. There was a page where you could change your handle, but I don't see it now. Who knows? haha
Bus to nowhere is a good world to vibe in while cool events and mini games happen randomly and terrors of nowhere (to be released soon from beyond the creator) is an amazingly fun world with some good scares I hope you recommend them next video

jumpscare when i saw the midnight bar on here. it took me 2 days to get really good at bartending, and then i ended up buying VA-11 HALL-A and god that was such a good game! tldr midnight bar goes hard
For me, nothing beats Suburban House by Nomic. It isn't fancy, it's honestly quite weird, considering it was made in 2018 and basically never updated to catch up with the evolution of the game (hell, the skybox is a Google Streetview image from the middle of the road and the mirrors are fake, not reflecting anything), but I love it so much because of that. Back in the Summer of 2018, I'd just graduated from high school and hand just gotten my first computer that I could call a gaming PC. I didn't have VR, but I started playing VRChat over that Summer in desktop mode purely because it was active and, as a social game, was quite nice, even when not getting the full experience. And over that Summer, Suburban House was one of the most popular maps, genuinely it felt like at any time, there was always at least one packed instance. Made a lot of great memories over that Summer in that map specifically, easily way more than in any other map aside from arguably this recreation of the Bottom of the Well from Ocarina of Time 3D that was an avatar world where you had to solve the puzzles to get access to more of said avatars, but unfortunately that world no longer exists and I can't remember the name so I can't find any trace of it. As I started college the coming August, I fell off of VRChat pretty hard, returning to it a couple of years later for a while during the pandemic when everyone was stuck at home, but as of a couple of months ago, I've finally gotten a Quest 2 to link to the desktop I built when I moved out of my parents house after lockdown. And let me tell you, even though the world is completely dead now, barely ever having even a single instance with one person in it, getting to finally experience the world that I had made so many memories in from years and years ago, now in VR, as it was intended to be experienced? It was the most emotionally powerful experience I've ever had in VRChat. The fact that, despite the world having fell into utter obscurity a long time ago, it had been kept around, with none of its old-VRChat oddities ironed out, and I could finally experience it the way it was intended to be played while completely alone- it felt powerful, man. Like I could now walk into a crystallization of my pre-college self's Summer memories as if I were actually there. It hits so hard. I set it to my home world after visiting it immediately, so that I can experience that by default everytime I boot up the game. It's janky, it's weird, it's old, it's definitely dead- but it's home. And that's why it's my favorite place in the game. To everyone who bothers reading this, even if you weren't playing VRChat back then, or aren't familiar with the map, I recommend giving it a visit sometime. Especially to someone who isn't familiar with old VRChat, I could see it being a weird time capsule of how maps used to be in the game, from the strange pseudo-mirrors, to the weird-ass skybox that makes the map feel as if it is both tiny and built in the dead-middle of a street. And to those who do remember this map, comment on here if you had any experiences with it. I'd love to hear some.

In the horse world, both the horses and campsite seats work surprisingly well with small or strangely proportioned avatars.

Go into YT settings, there you can change your 'handle'.
@@annode I did but it wouldn't accept my name as it was before, hence the change. The *handle* was wiped and replaced with my YT alpha-numeric user code. Thanks though. I also found another commenter who had experienced the same thing, out of the blue aswell. It's a weird one

@@Irritated_Considerably Ah, OK. This same thing happened to me also. I was using my full name as my handle and it was mysteriously changed to @annode, which I was using in YT, for what I forget now. It's all changed. I didn't try to change it back though. I kept annode. There was a page where you could change your handle, but I don't see it now. Who knows? haha
Bus to nowhere is a good world to vibe in while cool events and mini games happen randomly and terrors of nowhere (to be released soon from beyond the creator) is an amazingly fun world with some good scares I hope you recommend them next video

For me, nothing beats Suburban House by Nomic. It isn't fancy, it's honestly quite weird, considering it was made in 2018 and basically never updated to catch up with the evolution of the game (hell, the skybox is a Google Streetview image from the middle of the road and the mirrors are fake, not reflecting anything), but I love it so much because of that. Back in the Summer of 2018, I'd just graduated from high school and hand just gotten my first computer that I could call a gaming PC. I didn't have VR, but I started playing VRChat over that Summer in desktop mode purely because it was active and, as a social game, was quite nice, even when not getting the full experience. And over that Summer, Suburban House was one of the most popular maps, genuinely it felt like at any time, there was always at least one packed instance. Made a lot of great memories over that Summer in that map specifically, easily way more than in any other map aside from arguably this recreation of the Bottom of the Well from Ocarina of Time 3D that was an avatar world where you had to solve the puzzles to get access to more of said avatars, but unfortunately that world no longer exists and I can't remember the name so I can't find any trace of it.
As I started college the coming August, I fell off of VRChat pretty hard, returning to it a couple of years later for a while during the pandemic when everyone was stuck at home, but as of a couple of months ago, I've finally gotten a Quest 2 to link to the desktop I built when I moved out of my parents house after lockdown. And let me tell you, even though the world is completely dead now, barely ever having even a single instance with one person in it, getting to finally experience the world that I had made so many memories in from years and years ago, now in VR, as it was intended to be experienced? It was the most emotionally powerful experience I've ever had in VRChat. The fact that, despite the world having fell into utter obscurity a long time ago, it had been kept around, with none of its old-VRChat oddities ironed out, and I could finally experience it the way it was intended to be played while completely alone- it felt powerful, man. Like I could now walk into a crystallization of my pre-college self's Summer memories as if I were actually there. It hits so hard.
I set it to my home world after visiting it immediately, so that I can experience that by default everytime I boot up the game. It's janky, it's weird, it's old, it's definitely dead- but it's home. And that's why it's my favorite place in the game. To everyone who bothers reading this, even if you weren't playing VRChat back then, or aren't familiar with the map, I recommend giving it a visit sometime. Especially to someone who isn't familiar with old VRChat, I could see it being a weird time capsule of how maps used to be in the game, from the strange pseudo-mirrors, to the weird-ass skybox that makes the map feel as if it is both tiny and built in the dead-middle of a street. And to those who do remember this map, comment on here if you had any experiences with it. I'd love to hear some.
