wanna know something kinda nuts. i have a friend irl who used to do this "vrchat gang" stuff, but he's fucking ripped irl. goes to the gym every day, works, then comes home and plays vrc. now he's just a full body dude who does funny shit in public lobbies we hang out on there together sometimes. i guess he realized how pointless crashing people in a video games was lol. glad he came to his senses tbh.
These people are the most pathetic, and do this shit because they got their asses handed to them constantly in grade school, and find this to be their form of petty retribution over it. Like a Chihuahua who barks, or a toxic cunt that hides behind a screen, they all do so much to compensate for what little they actually have, but in the end, are completely alone in real life.

The VRChat devs should be working on these issues first, rather than giving us VRChat plus and invite photos/messages. These are gimmicks and doesn't fix real issues.
bro on god same thing happen to me, I just gave up on vrchat devs g, if they add anti cheat it will get rid of 70% of the kids that just download those free crashers or what ever, plus it takes a security nerd with some actual talent to then make cheats and stress about it constantly because the game will have anticheat, that updates the security like every day lmao. make vrchat have a hwid and ip bans.

I only started vrchat a month a go and didn’t have a vr headset yet. I’ve never felt so discouraged to chat to people after I started playing, being a female I have people constantly accusing me of using a voice changer and will straight up be rude or even block me. I used to think vrchat looked super fun and friendly but it’s hard to find the good people. T^T
Yeah I was talking to one of my friends about how they couldn't get into the game bc everyone usually acted dumb in public lobbies, I was really lucky to already have a friend irl that played the game and had a good group of people that they played with. Usually the part of vrc that looks fun is just the group of friends that was already established after however long of looking to find good people to go around with.

As a women myself, I’m scared to go on VR Chat (when I get a VR Headset.) I’m scared I’m going to be stalked by creeps and possibly even have my home address found (I don’t have a VPN, so I wouldn’t be able to stop this.) I guess in times of Covid, they just do their 2-3 hrs of online conferences, do their paperwork in private and spend the rest of their day in VR Chat. Even before that, you could find a way to do most if not all of your work from home.

If the temperature goes too high of course there will be thermal throttling and windmills going faster, but if, thermal throttling is already set really hard and windmills cant go faster and still doesnt help your pc will simply disable itself to prevent it from frying. @iamLucid
i'm pretty sure it is already difficult for actual viruses/malware on your computer to damage your hardware (gpu/cpu especially) let alone some anime tiddy 3d mesh/particles running inside of a vrchat instance running inside of a unity engine instance - its nonsense
as one of the og vr chat players it makes me really upset to see people gatekeeping this once open and welcoming game. I took a break for a year and when I came back when I got my quest, the game was unrecognizable. a non trivial amount of people just act like entitled assholes now and it's really sad to see one of my favorite games become this way.
Same I used to be a pc player and got a quest, second hour of playing (and second day as I’m trying to not get sick as I’m not used to vr) I got crashed and had to go through the hoops of bottling up oculas pc my headset and more. . . An IP address really isn't a big deal and shouldn't be treated like a home address or a phone number. No actual publically available information is available from an IP address. At most, it can narrow your location down to a city or a part of a country. Most ISPs use NAT'ing today, any that don't per default are very ignorant. NAT'ing basically hides your IP address as a subaddress. So you and 100 other people are sharing an address, only your ISP has any idea of which packet goes to which subaddress. Also, DDoSing is basically impossible at this point unless you actually know someone (someone being a legitimate hacker, not script kiddie) with a botnet. Using a botnet to boot off someone's gateway for a few seconds is simply not worth the risk. What most script kiddies do today is buy a subscription to a "stress tester". These are services meant for stress testing your own website or network. They are easy to use clients where you just put in an IP address, port number and duration of stress test/attack. These are not botnets but are specific servers with very high bandwidth. People claiming it's actually dangerous to play P2P games like GTA or VRchat are just being dramatic. Sure, using a VPN isn't a bad idea, but those creepypastas with some "hacker" knocking on your door is just that... creepypastas aka. fiction. Also, I highly doubt the "frying the graphics card" deal. There are limitations put in place by Nvidia and AMD to shut off the PC or limit the power draw in case it gets too hot. These are inside the BIOS of the card itself and again, no script kiddie is even remotely able to access that. Even the most insane power virus (FurMark is pretty hefty) will at most make your card's fan/s run at 50-90% unless you have the shittiest cooler possible or have applied an overclock. TL;DR: Don't worry about some "hackerman" doxing you or destroying your hardware. At most, some script kiddie with a mod menu or "client" can tell you your IP and what country you're from. If you're really paranoid, sure use a VPN. But it's not necessary.
Just saying,there is some "mods" for vrchat that has some advanced safety settings, that can automaticly stop avatars that have similar parts to some crasher avatars to not load, at all. if you don't click "show avatars" inside vrchat and some mods let you play the game without having steam open at all with steam vr on. so your ip dosen't show up if anyone tries to find it x3 (stay safe in internet)
more people need to know that not all clients/mods are malicious. some mods are just little things that make the game more enjoyable. so i have full body and i dance around and have fun hanging out with friends, but sometimes i need to lay down for a sec to relax, while still talking to my friends, and there's an issue with the menu in vrc, that when your laying down it'll put the big menu like underneath you, and that's really annoying, there's a mod to fix that, where it puts the menu right in front of your face. there's also various safety mods that you can get too, mentioned in the main comment.
Your ip address has nothing to do with your steamid. You can still get your ip grabbed, go inform yourself on what it is instead of trying to sound smart over the internet because you clearly don’t understand how networking works.

I don't really care about people doing ERP, bc it doesn't effect me in anyway. I would understand if someone would go to a small child suggesting that. It would be disgusting. As long as the people doing it, are fine with it, and nobody gets hurt in anyway, I'm fine with it altough I don't do it myself.

i remember my computer almost exploding, and it was just as the guy described your fan would go crazy, i had a pretty powerful rig, so this never happened to me while playing any game, let alone VrChat, turned off my pc and it was fine after that, still crazy.
Well your definitely remembering wrong. AMD and Nvidia have hardware limitations on their components. Your computer was not close to exploding. The graphics card would just throttle harder. Your fan isn't "crazy" is it spinning to a higher rpm, yes. Is it going crazy, no. It is most likely following the factory fan curve which gets very aggressive near the end. And if your wondering what gives me the credibility to say all this I work at Best Buy, sell custom high end computers drone my house, have made multiple personal computers and am a certified google technician.
I've seen the toxic side of VRChat first hand. I've had friends get doxxed, we've been targets of so many crashers, etc. I love VRChat so much, it changed my life, but fucking hell are there issues that need to get fixed because sometimes it's so incredibly scary.

I think VR Chat has 2 major fundamental flaws: • Technical implementation is bad and "indie-game-like", which causes all this hacking and exploits possible. • Social network system is like 2B2T minecraft anarchy server. If facebook is overly controlling, VR Chat is overly loose.

3:04 Fortunately most newer GPUs shut off at high temperatures to prevent damage, Windows has a whole system to prevent against high temperatures and if your CPU, GPU, RAM, or a disk get to their specified max temperature Windows just shuts off. I believe Linux has some form of thing like this too but idk

Show the avatars of people you trust, only. The hackers are an issue, however the last few minutes of the video are just straight facts. I don’t play VRChat at all, but I’ve seen people play it and get waaay to immersed and they just don’t stop playing, it’s kind of sad honestly almost like watching a junkie on the streets.

What's often ignored is the Vrchat Quest community. Most of them are children having fun with what they have, but the regulars of quest and the ones who make avatars are super toxic. I was in a "gang" discord server for vrc, and they had this channel called "clasher art" which was a place to post all their pictures of people they've crashed. It's a very small community as well, so everyone knows everyone else in the game. Unfortunately, most of them are very young and not fully understand what their getting into when they raid servers, post leaked nudes, and Dox each other. I started out on quest and it was overall a fun experience meeting other Quest users, however over time and after I moved to pc, I observed many cases such as what I depicted above, along with individuals who would boast to me about how they Doxed people(some victims as young as 13) and find it funny. Granted these people and groups are very small, and it is unlikely that you will find them in large public lobbies.
Sometimes people are physically impaired by a health condition or social anxiety and VR allows them the freedom they don't have in real life and let's them express their true selves, so VR actually becomes a stand-in for real life, they may even suffer from depression, and being alone with depression is not a good thing and often their depression will worsen if they aren't socializing, VR is an excellent way to do this, and often it is easier to interact with people in VR than in RL, especially with people you don't know, so perhaps a separation of VR and RL isn't the case but it's more about the quality of their RL vs the quality of their VR experience.

First time I played I was addicted and get on everyday almost all night. I wasn't sleeping well and was always fatigued and dehydrated. It wasn't that I didn't have responsibilities in the real world I have a full time job and I'm also a student but it became a bad habit that I forced myself to be awake longer even after a long days work that in itself is physically demanding, not letting myself rest at all. Nowadays it got a lot better, and I am able to catch myself to stop cause for me being in the game at night I tend to loose track of time since I am fully immersed with full body. It is fun, but I need to remember to take better care of myself so I don't have long term health issues.

doubt this is gonna really get scene by anyone but i used to be addicted to VRC. the game really took over my life from Feb 2018 to November 2019. i played every day, i would legit charge and sleep wake up and play, only to get out to eat or go to work. days off spent in the game. but in december 2019, i began to realize, real life is what you create of it. selling my stuff to go explore. the game is a entry level way to breaking a social barrier you may have. in my thousands of hours on the game i can say that yes it has a good side and a extremely toxic side. when ERPing gained popularity i began to really fade from the game, having friends i knew for so long even try doing stuff to me. friends becoming streamers and me and them getting DDos's. but overall, play the game as a game, dont let it consume you. if you are socially awkward this game can really help you out and help you open up to make friends in the real world. if you read this you are actually the goat

I’m pretty sure VRChat isn’t dying. In fact, I’d say it’s more popular than ever. Their recent announcement that there are so many API calls that their entire platform is crashing every weekend is proof enough that there are more people playing the game now than there were a month ago, and those numbers aren’t going to stop rising anytime soon.
vrchat isn't dying AT ALL, look at steam charts, this last year (for obvious reasons) it's growing and growing. Do you remember the spike the game had with ugandan knuckles? That was a 20k players spike. On the weekend, vrchat is reaching 20-24k players total, every weekend. I really don't see your point
I started playing vrc 5 months ago and I have over 700 hours in the game... never got crashed and never had any problems with anyone, by the contrary everyday i meet incredible people. The gamer is far from dying lol

I was part of a group that had made a discord server a long time ago, they were a bunch of egotistical groomers and gaslighters with a lot of structural issues of actually leading a safe and friendly group. It was a lot like the drama-cancel-culture side of Twitter. If you're into FNAF, STAY AWAY FROM "FNAF NEW DAWN"! The main leaders had no idea how to lead a group and any ranks below them were the really rude and evil ones. I thought I had made friends on there, but I was completely backstabbed. I had several accusations thrown at me that were not true but it was very upsetting people felt/thought that way about me, even people I THOUGHT were my friends. I have been completely traumatized to the point that I have quit VRC all together and don't plan on going back. I left that situation constantly reliving the fights I got in and struggling with self-worth. I really hate myself now, and I think I also hate FNAF and can't be in that fandom anymore. This new feature doesn't help me feel any safer and more confident that I will make the right friends on VRC, and I don't think anyone who clicked onto this video will be able to either. This literally changes nothing!
I've been playing vrchat for about a year and a half now and i can vouch that its not all fun. Theres alot of unkind people, people who can do bad stuff to your computers, racists, homophobes. In general once you get down the rabbit hole of vrchat it doesn't feel like a game anymore. When i play vrchat i feel like i could be doing so much more with my life. Many younger kids have gotten into this game which is terrible. Vrchat is not meant for kids under the age of 13, in fact under 18. The amount of awful people is terrible. I've known people who have been doxed, and in my opinion is the worst thing you can do to someone online. Not only does it increase the online harassment of somebody it increases the in person harassment which is awful and should never be taken lightly. If you want to get into playing vrchat don't discourage yourself from playing it, you can make some good friends in the game. Just be careful with who you surround yourself with in vrchat.
There's no hackers in vr chat that can "fry your computer" that was just a rumor. It's literally impossible to access your bios and overclock your pc in vr chat. I've played with people who claimed they could do it, but all that happens is vrchat crashes
the most ive done is made a crasher that doesnt let u log back in for about 30 minutes, since it keeps crashing ur vrchat every time u start it. not sure what i did but all i know is that it is strong

Now with covid more than ever people are ' hooking up ' in vr chat or similar forums because of travel restrictions. Think of the numbers of people separated by this. Or even long distance relationships where some move away temp for work, education or whatever. Never tried it myself, but I think it's pretty mean spirited to mock someone who does.

2:12 there is something called 'mesh crashers' that basically you don't need to see particles or any effects to crash, its the model itself, they do something to bypass the vrchat polygon limit and let's say make a sponge, but inside that sponge are a million polygons and it crashes you easily. It's a unity issue and it'll NEVER get patched unless they move to a different engine. Sadly that'll never happen and this will never stop unless you block out the avatar out right. Now there are clients that do crash you REGARDLESS of your safety settings. Oh also, shadow pc helps ALOT with vrchat, if they destroy that computer, shadow replaces the parts. IP is completely masked cause it has its own IP/internet speed. It can still crash you and your shadow, but it won't harm your own pc.
I think one of the worst things is those people who use those bright multicolor flashing avatars that cause people with epilepsy to have a Seizure, and they are usually unaware that there's anything wrong with using that kind of avatar.
As an outsider viewer (someone that doesn't typically follow your channel) I kinda feel like the way you go about wording things influence your audience and the type of people you bring to your channel. Like, I get it. ERP and all that is pretty weird. Personally, I'm not into it either but I think it would have been better to just keep it at "I'm not with it" rather than just flat out calling it "disgusting". I think when you do that you just encourage viewers to be outright toxic and you shame people that are into that stuff. If they are consenting adults then let them do them. Their life doesn't affect you. It's similar to calling a trans or gay person disgusting when you could just say hi I'm not for it but you live your life the way you want. It's the way you say something that matters. It's a small change from making it clear that you are not comfortable with it vs. you're plain hateful about it. That small verbal gesture at the end of your video now resonates with a more toxic audience and you can see it in the comments. I'm not here to try and bitch at or shame you. I'm just giving you my perspective as a new viewer and potential subscriber. You have good videos and it's obvious you work hard on them but as you grow you have more influence over people. Try using that to aspire to a more positive and accepting atmosphere. No one is saying you gotta support anything but shaming it isn't the right answer either.

To be honest, as someone who hunted players on Kos lists, for a long time. Noone cares about the Kill on sight lists anymore. If someone threatens you that they are gonna put you on a Kos list, don't worry.
I really want to see how someone destroys physical pc hardware that is properly cooled with client, since i can not see a way this is possible with hardware that is younger than 4 years.

You can use up to 1TB in ram sticks, find it: Sk Hynix 128 Gb ram. When you got at least 4 sticks it would actually survive crashs like nothing. avatar crash in vrc just causes the ram usege to go up to 100 which will cause your vrchat to crash. If you have more the 200 gb in ram then it should be all good.
Very good video, really appreciate you highlighting this kind of danger for people to be aware of. I gotta say tho, it's pretty whack to hate on ERPers like that at the end. I've never done that or have any interest esp as an asexual person, but I don't see anything "disgusting" or "unnatural" about consenting adults roleplaying sexual activities with each other in virtual reality. Would you call people that do 18+ text based roleplay or phonesex with each other disgusting? Like come on dude they're not hurting anyone and it's a safe environment for people to explore their sexuality why the hate? People could literally be in a long distance relationship and it's a way to "physically" be together. Nothing wrong with it not being your thing but it's pretty harsh to call it disgusting like that you should reconsider such a strong feeling on that.
I think when people complain about ERP they're specifically complaining about it happening in public servers, or places that otherwise aren't private. Like if minors could be around and you're ERPing, that's obviously fucked up.

I only started vrchat a month a go and didn’t have a vr headset yet. I’ve never felt so discouraged to chat to people after I started playing, being a female I have people constantly accusing me of using a voice changer and will straight up be rude or even block me. I used to think vrchat looked super fun and friendly but it’s hard to find the good people. T^T
Yeah I was talking to one of my friends about how they couldn't get into the game bc everyone usually acted dumb in public lobbies, I was really lucky to already have a friend irl that played the game and had a good group of people that they played with. Usually the part of vrc that looks fun is just the group of friends that was already established after however long of looking to find good people to go around with.
I hope if you ever try the game again you can find some people that are actually chill.

If the temperature goes too high of course there will be thermal throttling and windmills going faster, but if, thermal throttling is already set really hard and windmills cant go faster and still doesnt help your pc will simply disable itself to prevent it from frying.

as one of the og vr chat players it makes me really upset to see people gatekeeping this once open and welcoming game. I took a break for a year and when I came back when I got my quest, the game was unrecognizable. a non trivial amount of people just act like entitled assholes now and it's really sad to see one of my favorite games become this way.

An IP address really isn't a big deal and shouldn't be treated like a home address or a phone number.
No actual publically available information is available from an IP address. At most, it can narrow your location down to a city or a part of a country.
Most ISPs use NAT'ing today, any that don't per default are very ignorant.
NAT'ing basically hides your IP address as a subaddress. So you and 100 other people are sharing an address, only your ISP has any idea of which packet goes to which subaddress.
Also, DDoSing is basically impossible at this point unless you actually know someone (someone being a legitimate hacker, not script kiddie) with a botnet. Using a botnet to boot off someone's gateway for a few seconds is simply not worth the risk.
What most script kiddies do today is buy a subscription to a "stress tester". These are services meant for stress testing your own website or network. They are easy to use clients where you just put in an IP address, port number and duration of stress test/attack. These are not botnets but are specific servers with very high bandwidth.
People claiming it's actually dangerous to play P2P games like GTA or VRchat are just being dramatic.
Sure, using a VPN isn't a bad idea, but those creepypastas with some "hacker" knocking on your door is just that... creepypastas aka. fiction.
Also, I highly doubt the "frying the graphics card" deal. There are limitations put in place by Nvidia and AMD to shut off the PC or limit the power draw in case it gets too hot.
These are inside the BIOS of the card itself and again, no script kiddie is even remotely able to access that.
Even the most insane power virus (FurMark is pretty hefty) will at most make your card's fan/s run at 50-90% unless you have the shittiest cooler possible or have applied an overclock.
TL;DR:
Don't worry about some "hackerman" doxing you or destroying your hardware. At most, some script kiddie with a mod menu or "client" can tell you your IP and what country you're from.
If you're really paranoid, sure use a VPN. But it's not necessary.

Just saying,there is some "mods" for vrchat that has some advanced safety settings, that can automaticly stop avatars that have similar parts to some crasher avatars to not load, at all. if you don't click "show avatars" inside vrchat and some mods let you play the game without having steam open at all with steam vr on. so your ip dosen't show up if anyone tries to find it x3 (stay safe in internet)
more people need to know that not all clients/mods are malicious. some mods are just little things that make the game more enjoyable. so i have full body and i dance around and have fun hanging out with friends, but sometimes i need to lay down for a sec to relax, while still talking to my friends, and there's an issue with the menu in vrc, that when your laying down it'll put the big menu like underneath you, and that's really annoying, there's a mod to fix that, where it puts the menu right in front of your face. there's also various safety mods that you can get too, mentioned in the main comment.
Your ip address has nothing to do with your steamid. You can still get your ip grabbed, go inform yourself on what it is instead of trying to sound smart over the internet because you clearly don’t understand how networking works.

i remember my computer almost exploding, and it was just as the guy described your fan would go crazy, i had a pretty powerful rig, so this never happened to me while playing any game, let alone VrChat, turned off my pc and it was fine after that, still crazy.
Well your definitely remembering wrong. AMD and Nvidia have hardware limitations on their components. Your computer was not close to exploding. The graphics card would just throttle harder. Your fan isn't "crazy" is it spinning to a higher rpm, yes. Is it going crazy, no. It is most likely following the factory fan curve which gets very aggressive near the end. And if your wondering what gives me the credibility to say all this I work at Best Buy, sell custom high end computers drone my house, have made multiple personal computers and am a certified google technician.
I've seen the toxic side of VRChat first hand. I've had friends get doxxed, we've been targets of so many crashers, etc. I love VRChat so much, it changed my life, but fucking hell are there issues that need to get fixed because sometimes it's so incredibly scary.

I think VR Chat has 2 major fundamental flaws:
• Technical implementation is bad and "indie-game-like", which causes all this hacking and exploits possible.
• Social network system is like 2B2T minecraft anarchy server. If facebook is overly controlling, VR Chat is overly loose.

3:04 Fortunately most newer GPUs shut off at high temperatures to prevent damage, Windows has a whole system to prevent against high temperatures and if your CPU, GPU, RAM, or a disk get to their specified max temperature Windows just shuts off.

"Vr Gangs" jesus, the clownery is INSANE.
What's often ignored is the Vrchat Quest community. Most of them are children having fun with what they have, but the regulars of quest and the ones who make avatars are super toxic. I was in a "gang" discord server for vrc, and they had this channel called "clasher art" which was a place to post all their pictures of people they've crashed. It's a very small community as well, so everyone knows everyone else in the game. Unfortunately, most of them are very young and not fully understand what their getting into when they raid servers, post leaked nudes, and Dox each other.
I started out on quest and it was overall a fun experience meeting other Quest users, however over time and after I moved to pc, I observed many cases such as what I depicted above, along with individuals who would boast to me about how they Doxed people(some victims as young as 13) and find it funny. Granted these people and groups are very small, and it is unlikely that you will find them in large public lobbies.
It's really sad that people just can't chill and let other people chill.
People need to separate their real life and virtual life sadly they are too blinded and let them merge
Sometimes people are physically impaired by a health condition or social anxiety and VR allows them the freedom they don't have in real life and let's them express their true selves, so VR actually becomes a stand-in for real life, they may even suffer from depression, and being alone with depression is not a good thing and often their depression will worsen if they aren't socializing, VR is an excellent way to do this, and often it is easier to interact with people in VR than in RL, especially with people you don't know, so perhaps a separation of VR and RL isn't the case but it's more about the quality of their RL vs the quality of their VR experience.

First time I played I was addicted and get on everyday almost all night. I wasn't sleeping well and was always fatigued and dehydrated. It wasn't that I didn't have responsibilities in the real world I have a full time job and I'm also a student but it became a bad habit that I forced myself to be awake longer even after a long days work that in itself is physically demanding, not letting myself rest at all. Nowadays it got a lot better, and I am able to catch myself to stop cause for me being in the game at night I tend to loose track of time since I am fully immersed with full body. It is fun, but I need to remember to take better care of myself so I don't have long term health issues.

doubt this is gonna really get scene by anyone but i used to be addicted to VRC. the game really took over my life from Feb 2018 to November 2019. i played every day, i would legit charge and sleep wake up and play, only to get out to eat or go to work. days off spent in the game. but in december 2019, i began to realize, real life is what you create of it. selling my stuff to go explore. the game is a entry level way to breaking a social barrier you may have. in my thousands of hours on the game i can say that yes it has a good side and a extremely toxic side. when ERPing gained popularity i began to really fade from the game, having friends i knew for so long even try doing stuff to me. friends becoming streamers and me and them getting DDos's. but overall, play the game as a game, dont let it consume you. if you are socially awkward this game can really help you out and help you open up to make friends in the real world.

I’m pretty sure VRChat isn’t dying. In fact, I’d say it’s more popular than ever. Their recent announcement that there are so many API calls that their entire platform is crashing every weekend is proof enough that there are more people playing the game now than there were a month ago, and those numbers aren’t going to stop rising anytime soon.
vrchat isn't dying AT ALL, look at steam charts, this last year (for obvious reasons) it's growing and growing. Do you remember the spike the game had with ugandan knuckles? That was a 20k players spike. On the weekend, vrchat is reaching 20-24k players total, every weekend. I really don't see your point

I was part of a group that had made a discord server a long time ago, they were a bunch of egotistical groomers and gaslighters with a lot of structural issues of actually leading a safe and friendly group. It was a lot like the drama-cancel-culture side of Twitter. If you're into FNAF, STAY AWAY FROM "FNAF NEW DAWN"! The main leaders had no idea how to lead a group and any ranks below them were the really rude and evil ones. I thought I had made friends on there, but I was completely backstabbed. I had several accusations thrown at me that were not true but it was very upsetting people felt/thought that way about me, even people I THOUGHT were my friends. I have been completely traumatized to the point that I have quit VRC all together and don't plan on going back. I left that situation constantly reliving the fights I got in and struggling with self-worth. I really hate myself now, and I think I also hate FNAF and can't be in that fandom anymore. This new feature doesn't help me feel any safer and more confident that I will make the right friends on VRC, and I don't think anyone who clicked onto this video will be able to either. This literally changes nothing!

I've been playing vrchat for about a year and a half now and i can vouch that its not all fun. Theres alot of unkind people, people who can do bad stuff to your computers, racists, homophobes. In general once you get down the rabbit hole of vrchat it doesn't feel like a game anymore. When i play vrchat i feel like i could be doing so much more with my life. Many younger kids have gotten into this game which is terrible. Vrchat is not meant for kids under the age of 13, in fact under 18. The amount of awful people is terrible. I've known people who have been doxed, and in my opinion is the worst thing you can do to someone online. Not only does it increase the online harassment of somebody it increases the in person harassment which is awful and should never be taken lightly. If you want to get into playing vrchat don't discourage yourself from playing it, you can make some good friends in the game. Just be careful with who you surround yourself with in vrchat.

There's no hackers in vr chat that can "fry your computer" that was just a rumor. It's literally impossible to access your bios and overclock your pc in vr chat. I've played with people who claimed they could do it, but all that happens is vrchat crashes
I think it's because they never personally see the people they claim to have crashed again, making them think they fried their computer.
the most ive done is made a crasher that doesnt let u log back in for about 30 minutes, since it keeps crashing ur vrchat every time u start it. not sure what i did but all i know is that it is strong
i find this kinda funny because all vrchat is just a really unoptimized game with a half polished community.

@@puggimos4239 Long distance relationships are a thing, if this is what people choose to do to feel closer I don't judge. I've been there and not being able to see them often or talk to them in person was pretty rough.
Now with covid more than ever people are ' hooking up ' in vr chat or similar forums because of travel restrictions.
Think of the numbers of people separated by this.
Or even long distance relationships where some move away temp for work, education or whatever.
Never tried it myself, but I think it's pretty mean spirited to mock someone who does.

2:12 there is something called 'mesh crashers' that basically you don't need to see particles or any effects to crash, its the model itself, they do something to bypass the vrchat polygon limit and let's say make a sponge, but inside that sponge are a million polygons and it crashes you easily. It's a unity issue and it'll NEVER get patched unless they move to a different engine. Sadly that'll never happen and this will never stop unless you block out the avatar out right. Now there are clients that do crash you REGARDLESS of your safety settings.
Oh also, shadow pc helps ALOT with vrchat, if they destroy that computer, shadow replaces the parts. IP is completely masked cause it has its own IP/internet speed. It can still crash you and your shadow, but it won't harm your own pc.
Nothing in VRChat can harm your PC to begin with.

As an outsider viewer (someone that doesn't typically follow your channel) I kinda feel like the way you go about wording things influence your audience and the type of people you bring to your channel. Like, I get it. ERP and all that is pretty weird. Personally, I'm not into it either but I think it would have been better to just keep it at "I'm not with it" rather than just flat out calling it "disgusting". I think when you do that you just encourage viewers to be outright toxic and you shame people that are into that stuff. If they are consenting adults then let them do them. Their life doesn't affect you. It's similar to calling a trans or gay person disgusting when you could just say hi I'm not for it but you live your life the way you want. It's the way you say something that matters. It's a small change from making it clear that you are not comfortable with it vs. you're plain hateful about it. That small verbal gesture at the end of your video now resonates with a more toxic audience and you can see it in the comments. I'm not here to try and bitch at or shame you. I'm just giving you my perspective as a new viewer and potential subscriber. You have good videos and it's obvious you work hard on them but as you grow you have more influence over people. Try using that to aspire to a more positive and accepting atmosphere. No one is saying you gotta support anything but shaming it isn't the right answer either.

I'm thinking of trying out vrchat when I turn 13, I never knew these types of people existed in this game, ty for spreading awareness about this, I don't wanna see anything that's gross and people doing the dirty or my family getting doxxed, I'll have to mess with my safety settings and possibly get my mom to get a VPN, hopefully I can stay safe on that game :)

You can use up to 1TB in ram sticks, find it: Sk Hynix 128 Gb ram. When you got at least 4 sticks it would actually survive crashs like nothing. avatar crash in vrc just causes the ram usege to go up to 100 which will cause your vrchat to crash.
If you have more the 200 gb in ram then it should be all good.

I gotta say tho, it's pretty whack to hate on ERPers like that at the end. I've never done that or have any interest esp as an asexual person, but I don't see anything "disgusting" or "unnatural" about consenting adults roleplaying sexual activities with each other in virtual reality. Would you call people that do 18+ text based roleplay or phonesex with each other disgusting? Like come on dude they're not hurting anyone and it's a safe environment for people to explore their sexuality why the hate? People could literally be in a long distance relationship and it's a way to "physically" be together. Nothing wrong with it not being your thing but it's pretty harsh to call it disgusting like that you should reconsider such a strong feeling on that.
I think when people complain about ERP they're specifically complaining about it happening in public servers, or places that otherwise aren't private. Like if minors could be around and you're ERPing, that's obviously fucked up.
