I've recently gotten into prestige mode and I learned so much from this run! Probe and teleporter seem like a must to get a high score. Amazing job! I'm sure a lot of those top scores are not legit at all unfortunately. Well done!

Another great run. I enjoy the videos a lot but wanted to ask if you can bump up the volume a bit. The sound is quite low compared to other YT videos and I have to almost max out my volume. Good job on beating your previous score; looking forwards to the next one.

Yeah that was really bad by me to miss the stab on that diver, got a bit lucky that I lived that since I wasn't planning on taking that hit. Was trying to be pretty greedy in general to maximize score, worked out but it almost costed me a couple times though :P
I wonder how many legit scores are in the top 200.

@@ThaFritz For context watch the end of the episode, you will see Trubba at #447 with the score of 31615. Now Trubba is #1 with lower than 50k. All of those top 200 scores and many more have been detected and deleted for cheating.
@@Akixkisu Thankfully. I was literally in awe of those players. Then after playing a 'perfect' game for my skill, I realized that there was hacking going on.
The highest 'score' I saw was over 200K... lol, yeah right.

Interesting run! Maybe I undervalue the probe. My best run has been with condenser, upgrading it so my gadget is always overcharged automatically.
However you seem to find more resources than me :D I made it to wave 50 and only got half of your score-per-cycle/multiplier
I also had the same tree setup as you, with one of each resource.
Looking at the end stats. I destroyed 2000 more blocks than you, travelled longer distance. Still, you mined 110 more resources. That says a lot about the probe I guess.
Probe is definitely a great help in efficiently finding resources. Strip mining when you're so far down is a huge time sink and it'd take longer to find cobalt, and faster cobalt = more score.

Thanks! Sorry, I'm not much of a RUclipsr, but the video shows my pretty ideal setup (the exact upgrade order somewhat depends on what resources I have on hand).
TP + Probe is really good, the game is still new so it's possible someone could figure out a good strategy with another gadget combination, but TP + Probe is probably just the best. I try to focus on upgrading my mining and TP early game, investing into combat when I feel like I'll start taking too much damage otherwise, and then be a bit greedy and dump as much as I can into prestige mid-late game.

I chose converter on my run, I didn't know probe was this good, I was certain converting to cobalt was the way to go.
Does prestige mode always give you the same choices stuff for the same starting gadget? I got the exact same choices.
Gadget choices are randomized.
Whare are your thoughts on the other gadgets? I feel like Teleporter is, by far, number 1 on Prestige mode and Probe is a no-brainer too. Early on probe isn't that good but the further down you go, the better it gets. Having a multi-resource tree ends up being just better than the water producer thingy and while the explosive might be nice later on, I don't think it's better than the probe for resource finding. Also, I'm pretty sure the Probe ignores the special items, so if you only go for the marked resources you'll miss the teleport thingy and other potential gadgets, like the Stun Laser.
The other gadgets are nice to have in their own ways but don't provide enough value in Prestige to beat the efficiency of TP + Probe from my experience at least. I'm not too worried about missing out on mid-late game gadgets since I shred them anyway, but organically I usually end up finding them anyway, along with the one-way TP and double cobalt cave. Laser I feel doesn't give me enough value mid-late game to choose it over an extra multiplier, since it only targets one thing at a time and there are so many enemies on the screen.
