Yeah it's crazy to see companies doing this, I guess GTA6 has a lot of influence on people and it makes sense especially how popular this series is and how long we've waited for GTA6, it's like a fever dream because it's something we didn't know if it would happen sooner or at all. Honestly I'm happy we're getting GTA6 and I love the way they teased it, it's a cool format and it's nice to see other companies trying it, well see you all tomorrow.

The fact that we're getting a trailer at all, let alone tomorrow is still so surreal. It's one of the most highly anticipated releases in gaming history, and both the franchise and company have had an enormous impact on gaming culture. Of course other companies would capitalize off of or pay homage to it.

this represents the state of creativity as a whole in mainstream media, companies wont take any risk in trying out different more niche art styles instead of just doing whats safe ctrl c ctrl v just change colors or font
GTA 3 - introduced a new standard for open world
GTA VC - introduced great story and soundtracks capturing the beauty of the 80s
GTA SA - introduced how to push the limits of the technology of that generation with the amount of features, map size, and accompanied with one of the most memorable stories and memes
GTA IV - introduced the HD era and a story that improved upon the original setting that is Liberty City
GTA V - introduced insane graphical achievements and absurd amount of detailing in the industry for it's generation of games
Companies may think this style of announcement could correlate to the massive audience excited for the game, but it’s the game itself that has everyone excited for it and not the social media post

Sometimes I wonder if the other marketing teams looked at this 80s Miami inspired trailer announcement really thought "Oh this color scheme must be the reason it's so popular, we need to use this for our completely differently themed and unrelated game"

Can you imagine the immense pressure of making GTA VI? If I was the game director I would be petrified; if we have to wait a few more years, it's reasonable. The success of GTA V is incomparable to nearly all other forms of media
I'm sure it's alot more satisfying to create something more advanced then any ones ever done before with the time needed to make if an actuality then be forced to regurgitate code and make short cuts to make sure investors get a regular payday.
Rockstar are unique in this way they make their investors fat and happy with minor config updates on older titles. It gives them the time to perfect the next title.
I'm sure it's a developers dream to be apart of that.
Games might take years but they are relevant for years with minimal effort so Rockstar can do what they love most.
Sure take two might decimate the balance in online and sell remakes for ungodly prices but Rockstar don't care for either and that's fine by me 👍 better then these titles that last a month

I really like the point that the other gaming studios are not merely copying or piggy-backing but giving a ceremonial salute to their mightiest rival. They know that Rockstar makes tectonic shifts in culture whenever it moves and collectively took a moment to recognize a titan.

The influence is so big even the new Godzilla x Kong official poster have the same color palette as it. Yeah I know people might be reaching too far but releasing it after Rockstar's announcement is not a coincidence at all.
Seeing the fanmade GTA VI logo at the end of the video, made me think that what if Rockstar will actually use some of the ideas from all the fanmade stuff? Or maybe add into the game features that weren't intended but they were suggested by the community. It's not impossible for a company to do that especially when it's a really good idea of a game feature/art style. Actually some game companies did that in the past, listened/examined the community and took notice.
Imagine having a game that's trailer is not even out but it alredy has a huge inpact in gaming history. I'm amazed by this.

Rockstar is just simply a one in a kind studio, they don't pump out games left and right but when they release something let alone a GTA game, it's guaranteed a masterpiece.

Rockstars in general, may have disappointed some sections of the gamerworld but they were one of the firsts to show that they cared and never backed out of making it better. They had an immersive level of gameplay so even if you felt that it's just a game, the "human" feeling to it remained. If only those other companies understood it more than just thinking, over the top graphics = more fans coming in. Ugh

All those gaming companies have a large fan base but garner not nearly as much respect, attention nor revenue as rockstar and, its parent company, take 2 interactions.
The marketing teams of each of those companies is literally gaslighting their audiences into giving them views.
The dumb part is, monkey could tell the reason why rockstar chose that colour scheme; those same colours are repeated in the previous vice city and current gta 6. But those colours schemes will not be repeated in ow, cod, fall guys or halo. Because u wont be seeing alot of those _red light district_ colours in the other games, it creates a mental incoherence that will cause the opposite of those companies intentions, which is to get more views and attention.

the fact the other companies think artwork is what will boost their sales and fanbase is hysterical 😂. rockstar is rockstar.... they have proven themselves time after time after time and that is why people love them and buy their games, not because their announcement flyer is pretty. good games create big fanbases and get sales, not a colourful poster. rockstar could've released this info as a screenshot from an iphones notes, and the hype would still be the same. even game companies don't know how to be themselves anymore. worst thing you can do as a creator is show your fans that you're trying to be like someone/something else. very easy method to drive people away from your product, and closer towards the ones you are trying to be like.
