He didn't point out that the rear seats are adjustable. That alone puts it in a different League from your standard LS 430 sport. And by the way I have a 03 non UL and it too has the voice recorder and emergency assistance controls. Another difference between the two is the 01 to 03s have an upper and lower glove box whereas the 04 to 06 do not. Another thing to note is while the 04 to 06 have a six speed transmission which is better for gas mileage the horsepower is actually down a little.

Modern Luxury with the Sport Suspension kit is the best. No handling mods needed, just good rubber. UL package goes over the top with gizmos you likely won't use (unless you like to sit in the back seat) and doesn't handle as well.
The double panel glass windows are pretty sweet. Also the material around the interior is noticeable as well. If I had more money I would buy the Ultra Luxury.

Wait till those electronics fail: LED lights, directional headlights, smart key. There’s a point of negative returns …. Oh you’ll pay, can’t just change an LED. After 03 Lexus realized cars were too excellent in every aspect; hence the electronic Tom foolery to force buyers into rip city dealerships. Shame they had it then penny pinchers stopped by.
KULL3R94 I owned an ‘01 with sport suspension for about 8 months until I found my ‘04 with sport suspension 5 years ago and I have to agree. The front fascia, smaller LED tail lights, and rear bumper with dual exhaust cutouts on the 04-06 just look waaaay better. Plus with the addition of the smart key, self-leveling projector HID that swivel left and right around turns, 6 speed auto, reworked suspension, power rear window shade, and knee airbags (plus I think I missed one or two more things)... the 04-06 is a no brainer compared to the 01-03
I got the first year 2001 LS430. It have none of the features on this video. I think it's a base model. My 2008 LS460 is lovely but it's down right now. Planning to work on it soon.

i’m assuming the factory air ride on the UL was replaced with coilovers because you can’t hear the pump when putting it in high

Same here, the cherry wood and leather is nicer though on 01-03. Everything else 04-06

04-06 Has the 6-speed automatic and has better acceleration and fuel economy. I would say 3 mpg more highway compared to the 01-03 LS 430.
