I appreciate your video. This is why I haven't told anyone I'm moving abroad. I have said I'm considering it bc I'm still undecided. I moved back to California in 2012 and said this is it, no more moving. The 2016 election changed all that. Now Portugal is in my sights. As much ad I don't want to move away from my family (4 children, 7 siblings and my 91 yo mother), as an AA man I also cannot tolerate the idea of losing hard-won rights and freedoms. It all depends on how the 2024 election goes. But even if Biden wins there will still be mass shootings in public places, political turmoil and drama, and a sense of loss that permeates everything. Best of luck on your journey.

I get it. I am here in the US for now but life overseas is constantly calling my name. One thing I finally decided is it’s my life and no one needs to understand my decisions except me! Good luck with your journey!

@@lauraundecided I totally understand. And for the most part I agree w you 100%. My oldest daughter said to me she wasn't sure how she felt about me and her mom (we're divorced) moving away from them. I'm considering moving overseas, their mom is considering moving closer to the east coast. I explained to her that mymove is not just to get out of a country I see as no longer hospitable, but also so I can act as a bridge for other family members if/when they decide it's time to get out. She understood that. So even though I know my life is mine to live as I choose, I do want those closest to me to know how important they are to me. As long as I can be sure of that I can move and maintain those close bonds.

You can add world War 3 if Biden gets reelected!
