Doug this little trinket box is super cute but equally beautiful! You turn wood beautifully, and this one is no exception! The top is quite unique! Nicely done! I enjoyed watching you make this.
You always seem to be able to turn a piece of nothing wood into something that's creative and beautiful. Again, you've done it today, it's just amazing.
It's always a pleasure watching you turn a block or lump of wood into one of your creations. It comes from your mind and your hands. Very cool trinket holder 👍👍👍 thanks for the time and video, looking forward to the next.
Excellent!! I did SO enjoy your woodworking. It's such a beautiful skill. Please continue sharing with us! Even broken, it looks kinda old world, like it's a puzzle to a treasure. Thanks Doug!
Hi Doug, one of those shavings looks like a dollar sign on your ring finger around 3 minute 40 second mark. Wow the finial is small, you did a great job on it, Douggggg!!!
Cool little box. I always enjoy watching someone using traditional turning tools instead of carbide tools and showing how they fix all the problems that arise during the project..
really I started off using carbide but they are just scrapers and bad ones at that, always had to fix the tear out after using them, thanks again for watching John
It always seems to amaze how many times a piece of spinning wood can change shape - but, if you persist, you always make something out of it. It may not be what you started out to make, but, in the end, the final outcome looks great. Keep up the good work, Doug. Looking forward to seeing what you make next.
When the chip broke out I thought that now we will get to see something tricky. You did exactly as I would do . Beautiful piece, don’t usually comment but love your channel.
Almost! I had to throw some resin in there I didn't know what to do with the top after my mishap! no chuck jaws the correct size to hold that lid, screwed myself on this one
I think it really nice, nothing wrong with it at all. Morning Doug sorry you've had a 💩💩 week, I hope things get better for you.sending extra love & kisses 💖💖💋💋😘😘💋💋
Looks like a little space ship . Absolutely gorgeous Doug , love the finial it really set the box off made it shine more. You should make a caldron for Halloween . Hope all is well and you take care.
@@PohlBarnProductions you’re welcome. Could do resin pieces try make look like candy or something along the lines of witches brew . You’ll make it great what ever you form up with .
WOW! I want that bowl! Too bad I can't afford any extras right now. I just got back from 6 weeks at my best friends house. Her husband died suddenly in September so I was staying with her. I'm headed back next month for another 6 weeks. Their anniversary would have been Dec 24th & their honeymoon was New Years. He was a good man & a good friend.
Doug you should try to do some Christmas decorations like the hollow center ones with some of that beautiful fire wood pile that you have and maybe do some kind of challenge to your fellow turners.
It's really strange, but when I encounter the word 'box' I usually think of something square or rectangular shaped. Other shapes don't spring to mind so readily. The spaulting adds an extra something to the wood, though. Lovely little round box!
Well I suppose you are correct, it's a container for storage or transportation, flat sides, I guess this is a jar then, everyone has called it a box as long as I have been turning, Thanks for watching Carolyn
Beautiful, I like the spalding!! But is missing the trade mark at the bottom. Just kidding. Lovely but at that pace you are going to need o go to the forest and cut a dead tree for the winter, and is right around the corner.
it didn't take off, I cracked it when I turned it over, fixed it then put the rag and hose clamp on, it cracked again I heard it, so I just finished it as it was, Thanks again for watching Ron
You never disappoint, Doug!!!
Fantastic job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Thank You Qapla, this was actually a drop or cut off from another project,
Probably, after working with resin, wood carving seems to be a pleasure?
A wonderful treasure trove.
GooD)))))))
it is much easier to deal with than resin and much faster
*Doug, that looks awesome.... well done... 🙂.*
Thank you Thank you Andrea
Really appreciate the camera angles. Success in any form is still Success
Thank you Rick, I try to make the camera be right in the mix, it's a boring video from over there with one view the entire time

That's an Idea, but I really don't talk to the other turner all that much.
It's really strange, but when I encounter the word 'box' I usually think of something square or rectangular shaped. Other shapes don't spring to mind so readily. The spaulting adds an extra something to the wood, though. Lovely little round box!

Thank You Carlos, I have plenty of dead wood around the property to turn still
That was a nice little project, even if it was a pain in the a$$ to finish. Good job!
Thank you Liam
That’s a cool little box. It might of broke but at least it didn’t take off! Unless you cut that part. Cracked or broken it’s still cool looking.
it didn't take off, I cracked it when I turned it over, fixed it then put the rag and hose clamp on, it cracked again I heard it, so I just finished it as it was, Thanks again for watching Ron
