What a beautiful result again, Doug. The colors are amazing and the shine makes it complete. I bow deeply to you, buddy. Awesome art. Thank you for sharing. 👍👍👍
What a gorgeous bowl!! I love the shape, the graining in the wood and the resin colors! It was worth waiting from last week! As for something in your brush when you put on the resin coat, maybe try a silicone BBQ brush? Its easy to clean the brush. Anyway, its beautiful! Thanks, Doug!❤❤
Doug: The bowl turned out great. The colors were an excellent choice. Thanks for mentioning me and my stroboscopic filming technique. I already got a few new subscribers. You always do interesting epoxy projects. You have a great imagination. I don’t do very many hybrid bowls so it’s nice to see what can be done.

Very nice piece Doug, the colors turned out really well and that mango is awesome. Love the grain and colors in the mango; it also looks like it is an enjoyable wood to turn. Lots of figure where one can find all sorts of shapes.
The mango is outstanding with the wood 👍👍👍 great looking piece!! You share your ability/wisdom with your projects, as well as a lesson. If you get frustrated, you walk away and come back to it. Thanks for your time and the video. See you next time.
Gosh Doug you are so hard on yourself. I enjoy watching you go through the process and end up with a really good looking bowl. I learned a lot from this, thanks 👍
@@PohlBarnProductions Always... I check for a new video daily and very rarely fail to watch it the same day it releases... Glad I could give you a giggle... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
Glad to see you back! If you would cut a piece of 3/4" Plywood the width of your lathe base. Then the length of the space between your wall and the head of the base, lay it on the floor between the wall and the base it might help your lathe to resist the walking to the wall all the time..... Otherwise get you some Big , Heavy Metal Lathes like I have :)
Whew! Maybe there are a few things because of the old resin, but that's a fine outstanding bowl, Doug. Really like the combination of mango and the colors you chose.
It turned out beautiful! No pun intended...lol. It really is gorgeous. Sometimes the imperfections make them perfect to me because it doesn't look factory made.
Love the colors of the resin with this chunk of mango. The resin coating really brought out all the colors. I wonder if putting some anti fatigue mat under the legs of your lathe might stop it from wandering around. Just a thought. Splendid work of functional art. Well done.
Thank you Doug, Yeah I'm pretty sure it has a bad bearing too, seems it runs fine until I lean on the tool in certain places, you can hear it in some of the videos, bolting it to the floor might help but I think it'll just wiggle the bolt out of the floor.
Sprague wood-turning uses a silicon barbecue brush to apply the epoxy. He gets really good results with that without any fibers or gunk in it. And then he smoothes it out with his hand in the end to make sure all of the cavities are full.
I really like this bowl! The mango wood is so interesting in its grain and spalting. The "fruit colors" are pretty by themselves but mixed/marbled so well too. It is too bad you had so many bubbles, do you think a time in the vacuum chamber first would have helped? Or would that have promoted flash curing and more bubbles and cracks?
Beautiful bowl, Doug! The Mango is absolutely gorgeous!!! It's the small imperfections that give it character!😉😉😊
Thank you Thank you
We are our own worst critics, I think it turned out great. The color of the wood is great as it the epoxy. Great work
Thank You Dale, we are too
Another beauty Doug. Small “imperfections” just verify it’s authentically hand made and one of a kind!
Thank You Toni
The color scheme really fits the color of the wood! Beautiful!
Thank you Ron

Mango ist ein undankbares Holz, nur am Ausgasen und dadurch Blasenbildung. Aber die Farben vom Epoxy sind Spitze. Schöne Grüße aus good old Germany 😀
Danke Thomas, das würde die Blasen erklären, ich nahm an, es sei Feuchtigkeit im Holz, kein Gas
