I just bought a 2021 Ultra Limited because it’s what every Harley strives to be. I know too many guys buy bike cheap then spend another 8k to make it an Ultra
I have a 2018 107 ultra limited. You forgot to mention cruise control, being able to shut back cylinder in hot idling, using the phone through headset (which is excellent), power ports for charging and being able to plug in a data stick of music. I have 1500 songs on a 1" stick which makes a great alternative to the radio. I am in UK and find the Satnav very usable. Heated grips are very hot even on 2nd setting (of 6!). Perfect motorway cruiser but still surprisingly agile on twisties too even two up! Range of just over 200 miles.
Glad you liked your Street Glide. I almost bought one in 2006, the first year it came out. I loved the look of no trunk and the short windshield back then. Flash forward to 2017. I was riding a Victory Vision which i loved. Polaris had announced they were discontinuing Victory at the end of the 2017 model year. I take long touring trips for vacation, and didn't want to chance getting caught up waiting for parts in Timbuktu on that Victory. I had always said that I would buy a Road Glide Ultra if I bought a Harley. I test road it, but couldn't stand the appearance of the rider side of the fairing. The Boom Box also felt 100 miles away from the rider on the Road Glide. So I tried the Ultra Limited and the batwing fairing fixed all the distance and appearance issues i had with the Road Glide. I think as you get older, and if you start taking some longer trips you just might outgrow the Street Glide. The lowered suspension on the Glide delivers a much rougher ride as well. I like both the Street Glide and the Road Glide, they're both great bikes...but neither fit my needs as well as the Ultra Limited. As that's the genius of Harley Davidson. Want a fork mounted fairing, they've got it,. Prefer a frame mounted fairing, they've got that too. Want a tour pack, or don't care to have one, they've got that covered as well!!!
I have an 18 UltraHD and this bike has enough power and after an 1800 mile trip only thing I would change is the seat. I have a different windshield and all led front lights even the fender light
Well, i just got a used 2017 ultra. I camt wait till i get to pick it up and get back into riding again. Cause i already know. That i am going to put some miles on it.
Man do I miss my 18 ultra I was riding to work when a tow truck ran a stop sign making a left turn so I'm watching this I was going bananas but one day I'll get one again
Why i picked an ultra? Heated grips and passing lights. The lights are the main reason. I live in the sticks where deer rule supreme and i want a wide as possible field of vision.
I have the 2016 ultra limited with 14 inch bars and I absolutely love it. I wish it had the touchscreen only stereo it’s partially touchscreen but overall it’s the nicest touring bike I’ve ever owned and I’ve had quite a few Harleys and the 103 high output engine on mine is awesome.
I have a 2017 Ultra Limited. It’s got a heel toe shifter , two key 🔑 fobs , & saddle bag liners all of which Do Not Come on 2020 Models ! Also the new black out option is like an additional $1,800 for paint 🎨 vs Chrome ! HD are you kidding me? Looks like I’ll be keeping my 2017 as H-D has cheapened the new bikes but the MSRP is way more! No thanks H-D! Down the line I’ll just drop in a 131 Kit & keep motoring along for another 10 years !
Hi there Leonard, can you put a 131 as a 107 replacement. I have seen them advertise crate engines but they only seem to talk about it being a replacement for a 114 or a 117 or are you talking about buying the parts and doing it yourself? Cheers. Gee.
Hey I know this video is kinda old and I haven't looked at your newer videos to see if you figured out the windshield thing. If you want a little better wind protection without a gage windshield get a 6.5 inch klockwerks flair. I am 5'6" and it works great. I can see over it but don't get slammed in the face with wind and bugs.
Just got my 2019 Ultra limited. only had 8000 miles on it, came with the 114 and some 4-inch Vance and Hines muffles as well as upgraded Legend REVO-A FLH rear shocks and Legend AXEO21 FLH Front End Suspension. Traded my custom detailed 2015 Fatboy in for it. To say it's the Cadillac of Harley Davidson, might be an understatement in my opinion. This thing rides like you're in an aircraft. Floats down the highway at 70mph like it's just doing 40 down a Blvd. All the amenities too are great, except it all can be a bit distracting. Well for myself at present it is. But I think in time I'll get used to it. The nice thing is, that I got two Harleys for the price of one basically. Take the tour pack off and I'm riding basically the street Glide. But that makes sense because both the road glide and street glide came for the Electra Glides. Anyway as far as my opinion goes, it's the best top-of-the-line Harley makes. Loved my Fat Boy but even with its stage 4 setup and custom suspension, paint job and seat, and so on, I could have never gotten it to the ride of my FLHTKL Ultra Limited Low. Yeah, it's the cost of a new car if you buy a new one. But if You like Long Bike Iron Butt trips it's more than worth it. Thanks for the review.
Great review! If you haven't been on a Road Glide yet, give it a try. I really enjoyed my Ultra Limited, but the '19 Road Glide Special beats it out of the box!
beats it?! how? same bike except for the fairing and bars. Which is totally a personal preference. You cant say one or the other doesn't work. And Id argue that one is NOT better than the other. I could never warm up to the shark nose fairing.
I have the 2016 with the 103 HO, stage 1 with the top pack quick release. Great bike with lots of options but as far as best towing bike I don’t agree. Choosing a Harley tower bike is about culture. The Goldwing is a superior towing bike but it won’t turn heads like the Harley and lacks the same attitude. I have owned both and the Goldwing rides and handles like a sports bike.
I'm about to buy a 2020 limited and I myself am 5'7" and I realized the same thing with the floorboards for backing up. How do you back yours up? It's def easier to do on the special . Any advice, cause I see all ages, men and women riding the limited. I imagine you get use to it.
My friend that owns the bike is my height but has a longer inseam. It bothers him but he has gotten used to it as well. Personally I'd put a smaller passenger peg or floorboard on if it were my bike.
YES. Just did that myself. Night and day difference in ride quality. Spent thousands as a previous commenter said trying to get the ride quality and functionality/features I wanted, but finally had to give up. MASSIVE improvement - wish I had done it sooner.
I hate to tell you but those are NOT reflectors on the fenders. Those are lights. Also the tour pack lights are not LED. Decent video but you do need to know what you are talking about.
Way wrong, nice bike but it has always been held that the Goldwing is and will always will be the Cadillac of touring motorcycles. It was even a great touring motorcycle in the 1980's but Harley was nowhere near it. Harley does not even still offer a reverse! It is embarrassing to have your women pushing on the bike to get you out of a parking place. With a Honda, it is just get on honey and push the button and power back out of the parking place. Want to adjust your suspension, push a button. On the Harley, vents that don't work, geez. My son has a 2017 Road Glide and he came off a Honda bagger F6B. After two short years he is ready to trade it in and go to anything else. WOW, that says volumes about the ride, handling and reliability of this bike. If you don't buy into the Harley lifestyle with all the t-shirts, leather and shorty helmets, then there are so many options on the market that are thousands less for a better bike.
Richard Griffin The Gold Wing is a great 👍 bike that is a fact . It’s all about what you like . To me the Gold Wing is like a Toyota Camry! Does the job , does it well but has absolutely Zero Soul! An Appliance to say! Way too Boring & quiet 🤫 for me like riding in a car! I’ve drove one & like I said nice bike for what it does! Riding to me is more of an experience as I am way more happy on my 2017 Limited that has a heartbreak & a pulse!
Have had both GW and Harley. Have 2017 Ultra 24k miles no problems. I think the ultra is better than GW for long did distance do to the fact that you don’t feel road imperfection nearly as much as the GW.
I just bought a 2021 Ultra Limited because it’s what every Harley strives to be. I know too many guys buy bike cheap then spend another 8k to make it an Ultra

I have a 2017 ultra limited, the wife and myself find it very comfortable

I have a 2018 with a stage two setup and that bike is fast and comfortable with my S&S dual pipes it sounds brutal! Love this bike!!!!

The Ness Big Sucker kit works SO excellent, slim, simple design and ads lots of power - installed it on my own 17 FLHTK 👍🏻

All Harleys are awesome😊
Just an awesome machine thats why I have one just like this one, with some upgrades
I just got one for free. 2016 46k miles but seems really taken care of
Great review! If you haven't been on a Road Glide yet, give it a try. I really enjoyed my Ultra Limited, but the '19 Road Glide Special beats it out of the box!

Road Glide Special ain’t beating an Ultra Limited. The Road Glide Limited might. The specials might be touring bikes but they’re essentially hot rods
jajajaa LOL
You forgot about cruise control and in the faring there’s a place to put your phone

Hegshot bro, what do you normally carry when riding?
Not a Gillette bro.
Rockform Phone mount is needed
Custom Dynamics turn signals are a must. the orange incandescent bulb turn signals and front fender tip got to go
Lean angle is 32 inches? Hmm.
This bike is gorgeous!
Does it have Apple Carplay?
I've 2019 UL and its awesome

You guys need to check out suspension technology they make a reverse pulley for your bike that makes it easy to backup works great!
Take them off you’ll save 7 lbs
Thinking about trading my 2005 Roadking for one, is it worth it?
YES. Just did that myself. Night and day difference in ride quality. Spent thousands as a previous commenter said trying to get the ride quality and functionality/features I wanted, but finally had to give up. MASSIVE improvement - wish I had done it sooner.
I have a 2019 Limited...great bike.
Hard to decide between this or a road king.
I have the Road King and I'm buying this. But, I'm keeping the Road King too... Sorry. I'm no help...
Ultra and you won’t be sorry, especially if your going to tour
Good looking bike bro!
"No Parking"☝😆
Got a 2017 love it.. 👍👍
Thinking about getting me one like trading in my 2005 road king for a 2014ultra limited
Nice bike!!!
BELLA MOTOCICLETA
Um ? Cadillac is liquid cooled!
The heads of the hd engine is also liquid cooled.
The boom system harley offers compaired to Indian or Honda is total junk.
Is it my imagination or is the video and audio out of sync?
Couldn't sit through the 3minute ad to see the video.

Woman pushing you? If you cant handle a Harley then buy a Goldwing!
I hate to tell you but those are NOT reflectors on the fenders. Those are lights. Also the tour pack lights are not LED.

No, he doesn't. This is RUclips, not Harvard.

LOL, a Goldwing? Get outta here with that Bull$hit!
Lol, a Goldwing! The laughing stock of motorcyclists. Ahahahaha!
@@rgh622 Yeah, you can laugh when I hit 300K miles and gave not touched my motor. You won't get nowhere near that without a rebuild or several.
Have had both GW and Harley. Have 2017 Ultra 24k miles no problems. I think the ultra is better than GW for long did distance do to the fact that you don’t feel road imperfection nearly as much as the GW.
