Amazing song. Billy Corgan is a genius, I do not have words to describe the incredible ability of this guy. Every fucking album is totally different and amazing on its way.

Got an 80's Synthwave beat to it.
Loving it.
I like songs where Corgan never finishes the phrase in a typical 4 chord progression - repeats after the third chord. “Let me give the world to you” was like that and “set the Ray to Jerry” added a fifth chord which is kind of similar. Takes a common chord progression and makes the song way more interesting. BC is love BC is life. Edit:let me give the world to you has four chords in its hook but end abruptly before the fourth chord resolved and starts over.
Most of the songs on Machina have examples of them playing with time signature to give the song more push. Untitled is really interesting as it’s 4/3 timing most of the time but they throw in the 4th bar at strategic times. The end of Real Love I can’t even describe what they’re doing but it’s awesome. Jelly belly and Fuck You have extra bars thrown in to great effect.

Great album, you cant just sit there and listen to Gish, Dreams, Melancole well you can but would get boring. Change is good and they have shown talent on different levels and styles of music my opinion. I had heard that they will be releasing a much heavier and dark hard album that had been done and was never released and was put in back burner. Billy touched up on it and will be releasing this album very soon. Thats the album you guy that dont like CYR get ready for this next one will be hard like you guys like.

so far this album is much more enjoyable than Atum vol 1 & II. This album I enjoyed every song. Atum thus far feels very rushed and doesn't resemble a sequel to any of the albums they claim to be sequels to. This is coming from a long-time SP fan who has supported every effort including solo & the Zwan projects.

I'm sorry to be an ass but why does Billy's voice always sit too high in the mix? I wonder if he has hearing issues and just doesn't hear what we're talking about. Especially synth heavy music, the vocals should blend better.

Yes this album sound more synthe for sure ! Brillant but not too rock at all ! The last gem is the bassline of one and all I admit I missed that 😅 but anyway Billy's voice so amazing transport you in another world !
Wow, I totally didn't expect another synth intro! Stranger Things was cool, but it shouldn't be directing music culture...
There were lots of 80's synth-driven bands going on even before Stranger Things... it just popularized it for the mainstream audience. Actually, Billy Corgan's first solo album in 2005 (TheFutureEmbrace) sounded like this one... even his live performances then were very aesthetically New Order and Kraftwerk-inspired.

Jimmy is there, which is why this album is so great. These are creative types. They're hard for you to understand. They work in ways you can't figure out. Leave them be. This album rocks. I feel like I'm back in 1979.
@@alukuhito I'm unsure if this is sarcasm? The thing about "creative types" and figuring out visionaries is that the artist has to meet the listener somewhere. Yes, I like to be challenged, and the Pumpkins are and have kind of always been a challenging band to follow. But they always delivered with good songs and balancing their creativity. Like, I could spin gyroscopes on my guitar strings and drum heads, record it, and say "hey, listen how unique this is and sounds, nobody's ever done it before"! But, it doesn't matter if it's creative, unique, hasn't been done before, etc... The song and musicianship is as equally important as the means, probably more so. To be fair, I probably need to give these songs more of a chance-a few more listens. Adore and Machina took many listens to appreciate and now I love them-they are some of the best albums and songs ever recorded imo. I just think that so many people, including myself, were super excited to have Jimmy and James back. In a world of Billy Eilish and The Voice... But this stuff just doesn't sound like a band? Yes, I would love another Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie, but I don't really expect that, especially from this band that changed with each album. I'm not holding my breath. I'm ok with a stylistic shift like with Adore or Machina. But neither this nor "Shiny..." has felt inspired? Idk, maybe I'm old, maybe I'm a "boomer"?
Just gonna be honest. Nah! Not the SP I wanted to come blasting out my speakers. Those days are gone I suppose. Not a bad album, not a great one though.
I enjoy it, but I can understand why not everyone will like it. I believe (and hoping) the planned sequel album for Mellon Collie will be more of the aggressive riffs. But that is what I like about Smashing Pumpkins. You never know what you will get.

Great! I'm more than twelve tracks in and yet ANOTHER synth pop track! It's becoming repetitive, if i want to listen to depeche mode...i'd buy a depeche mode album! Billy is the GREATEST singer/song writer of all time PERIOD but besides "dulcet in e" and maybe "purple blood" this entire album should be b-sided or completely scraped, Billy promise after that so shiny so bright train wreck that that follow up would be more driven...i didn't expect to be driven into a dumpster fire! Billy please for godsakes!!! Machina 1 & 2, Mellon collie, Oceania, Adore...i don't expect you to do the same stuff over but please, anything but this!!!

@@omarchapa8247 Not in the slightest. The music all the way through Adore was near masterpiece level and that is why it remains gilded in stone lol. This song in particular just sounds random as hell. I do like a good part of the album, but it needed to be half that length.
