We need electric charging stations along with restaurants, for long drives it will be helpful also one can save time
Impressive idea
Petrol pumps would be much feasible
U said it. Great idea👌
Good idea
Also at parking spaces near theaters.
EV should be exempted from all tax in India and made more affordable the pricing is still out of reach from economical buyers companies should start working on EV under 5L & 10L keeping general public buyers in mind.
It's economies of scale buddy
The performance of Kona is excellent...I get 350-380 KMS on a single charge easily , depending on usage like AC , different modes of power etc.... Last two month in idle situation the change didn't drop at all...on the other hand my E2O had to be charged every 4-5 days...I have driven honda city for 14 years...Kona is just sturdy car and a pleasure to drive
Where are you from Sir? How about highway rides? Any long rides done with it?
Use regularly
Sir, thanks for the feedback. How's the service provided by Hyundai?
I’m driving Kona electric since Nov 2019. On a consistent basis, vehicle is returning 300Km on a single charge in Bengaluru traffic. Around 40 units is the consumption per charge cycle . In a month , I save close to ₹10K on petrol . This is the best car available in the market currently. Go green should be the motto.
But paying more than 25 lakhs is way expensive getting creta saving 5 lakhs and using it in diesel make sense
@@rigpathak don't worry Electric cars prices will come down
@@rigpathak no its isnt brother if you calculate the maintenance cost
Honestly this is one of the most informative real time views I have read on an electric vehicle yet
@@rigpathak why not bringing both cars performance and dynamics ? Kona trumps creta.. hands down!
As of now ev's are only for daily city commute
@4:58 of course!! It is called Kona (corner) for a reason 😂
Govt can at least start to make DC supercharging stations between well known long routes.
Waiting for the structural development of EV'S PUMP in India..That will be the time to buy EV'S as they will get cheaper by that time..
Electric charging stations. We need to move away from fossil fuel pumps.
@@GowthamV07 That's what i meant bro..😅
@Manish Bisoi But what if you need to travel 700-800 kms and in the near future EV'S are gonna be more on roads..Then for that you need EV Pumps bro..
I'm already imagining long lines and waiting times for a charge.
i think i will buy nexon anyday
I will also Buy Tata Nexon some day.
Oneday
No day
People says, they will buy will buy, but no one does
Prakash Subra i did.
Tata nexon is better... Way cheaper... looks cool... Has most of the features... Isn't a great deal slower as well!
Dont forget to include it was made in india so service n repair will be cheap n easy
Bang on. More so, spares would be so cheap and easily avaliable
And it is the safest
Tata power will have a much wider network as well initially too.
Thigh support is ridiculous! Also I would never want a charging port in the front. Hyundai's range is literally half of what they are claiming. Basically it seems like they should learn from tata how to make an electric car.
Until its cross 500 km its a tough call for me.
452km to 250 km range reduction!!! It may be true while comparing battery capacity and curb weight.
Early I thought about for this 452km car now thinking for 348km car which is wider and longer.
Hyundai Offers More peace of mind than MG anyday. Wider network more features enough juice in the battery better seats higher ground clearance (quite important for our country especially if you consider an electric vehicle's battery pack) and adequate performance. It is an easy pick for me over the MG. Although I'm a bit disappointed with the Kona's Range.
MG win clearly at all aspects
Kona bro....its killer looks, features and power are amazing
that size battery pack on the kona is only 250KM range it is the larger battery that gives the longer range and is £10,000 more than the MG in the UK
Nepal k pass bhi 64kwh bettry hai
The MG ZS EV needs to come to America as soon as possible.
any idea whats the range when all 5 passengers are travelling?
This video will soon go to #trending #Autocar #Ev
MG is really a great car. It looks premium and drives great. Kona looks very futuristic. Those headlights are aggressive.
Review of NISSAN KICKS facelift PLEASE !!!!

Hyundai Kona is awesome 👍
@Corsham Viton What's Your Point???
@Corsham Viton That means If someone drives a petrol car and says It's awesome
Then your reply to it would be:-AWESOME???IT'A JUST A CAR RUNNING ON MOTOR AND FUEL..
Great review - haven't seen such a comprehensive group test in UK
omg I'm loving this guy's presentation and the difference is explained so clearly! I'm following you now.
Both cars feel like a compromise...we don't have a Good EV yet in India
Exactly.
Can these cars offer a comfortable non quirky performance in hilly regions & the sloped type roads in the interiors of India (long drive type)? Or just a City go vehicle?
given the high amount of torque even at the low speeds, these cars may even outperform the IC engine cars. moreover you can generate power going downhill and charge your battery while your EV descents with control.
They climb hills better than petrol or diesel
Looks wise I’d go for the Kona, but if I have to look at comfort and technology I’d pick the ZS EV. The panoramic sunroof and voice control are two features in ZS EV which attract me towards buying the car.
Agreed man!
you can gave up range of 100 km for these these gimmick features.... quite interesting..
I have hector and trust me the voice control is not a big deal. Not saying is totally useless but this according to me should not be a deal breaker.
Very nice comparison 👍
Need all affordable electric cars on one video as comparison review #autocar
plz review verna 2020
Can't wait for the MG ZS petrol coming in 2020
I've driven a Kona electric. Both cars are good but way too costly. They must reduce costs through increased localization and remove extras like sunroof, ventilated and electrically adjustable seats etc. Even the basic electric motors seem like an overkill for Indian roads.
We need charged battery replacement in petrol stations so that we dont have to worry about charge.
Kona anyday,🔥🔥
Rashmiranjan Baral and unlike mg it is South Korean, not CHINESE
Lol tata nexon gives the same range as kona does and u still gonna spend 25l on that vehicle with false claim
@@harshaljoshi8460 Dude my neighbour has kona , he gets around 350+ ,he is a doctor so he only drives inside city and doesn't charge often. FYI: I can see when he charges on my cctv 😂.
@@harshaljoshi8460 and Tata Nexon ev gives 200km on a good favourable day even though claimed range is 320km. Real world most get 180kms. I'm sure Nexon ev 2021 would improve on everything.
What about the resale value of these highcost cars?
Did he walk through the wire in the beginning? :0
Pls review the 1.3 L Nissan kicks turbo✌✌😎😎

452km of kona and 340 of zs but hyundai managed around 250km in mix cycles compared to mg's 315 km through same mix cycles.
this is because the Kona base model battery is only 39 KW, the larger battery is £10000 more in the UK
Hey guys could you tell me about that mix cycle thing? I really didn't get it. Is it the real range of the both cars?
in market like india where price is the main point for most sales of the car it will take a long period of time to hit the indian market
Please make a comparision of Tata Nexon electric and kona.
Please include hill ascent and descent tests too.
We need DC fast charging stations at every 100 kms on all highways then only shifting to EV would be a no brainer !!
Just bring the price down to 17 to 20 lacks and everyone will buy these cars. Savings on fuel and maintenance cost will do it justice for spending few lakhs for an electric car.
Nexon comes at around 15 lacks but its smaller.
Very informative video..
Ones the infrastructure is ready with fast charging tech and renewable energy, everyone will switch themselves. Electric cars will reduce the pollution but electricity will not as we are dependent on coal or nuclear powerplant to produce electcity. Also, the production of batteries emits more co and co2.
Pl do the drag bw 2
is it possible to buy the ZS EV with a DC fast charger instead of the wall mounted charger???
Phev petrol makes lot of sense. Electric 60 km per charge and petrol on highways makes sense. City use electric, suits for bumper to bumper , inching forward, quick pickup, price per km . And highways, petrol suits, gives better mileage. It's s grest marriage between petrol and electric.
How much range of the electric vehicle increase due to regenerative braking on an average.
There have been instances in City traffic where 15% to 20% of range is recovered by Regenerative braking. This also depends on the setting of power level of regen (or kers) and how many times you slow down using regen braking instead of sudden harsh braking. The range of EVs improve in bumper to bumper city traffic.
May be few peoples are able to buy these cars in india ,but still indin youths dreams are changed to electric nature friendly cars.
Waiting for seltos ev🥰🥰🥰
After driving all , I choose MG, and I am really happy. My first choice was KIA niro but after driving MG ZS ev, can't think of another..
20 lakh for creata 1.4 turbo petrol dsg or kona electric (23 lakh)
Kona makes sense as 90 percent less moving parts so lesser maintenance no fuel consumption
If you have space in ur home or office where u can charge kona makes more sense
After 2,3 years Kona will start loosing performance, as batteries degrade with time.. and after 5 years its performance and range will be significantly reduced.. Batteries performance in our hot climate and stop&go traffic has to be tested yet as well, Car with low battery can't be prepared immediately to use in case you get and emergency..and so on..
Electric vehicles can't be compared with conventional internal combustion vehicles. They are cleaner but with certain limitations.
They must be seen and used separately.
Yes Go For Kona Hassle free Maintenance
Why did Creta price go so high. Automatic on Creta seems costly. I have Vento DSG which is like 15 lakhs.
@@Vickyrocks247 lol. In 5 years battery degradation issues will be ironed out by all manufacturers. ICE cars will be dead in about 10 years due to high maintenance cost and low fuel efficiency.
@@Vickyrocks247 IN ICE cars the engines are built to last for like 15 years max. So even with a battery degradation, you will have better fuel efficiency in an EV and Better performance. Only thing is the Range will be affected in 10 years. But they are giving 10 year warrently for 70% degradation to battery and not any less. So its a win win for customers.
After the Coronavirus, Sustainablility will be the main focus. So Electric Vehicles will be the way to go. I think the Nexon EV will be winner with most sales.
There is no proper infrastructure for electric vehicles at present. It's not the wright time for electric cars in India.
good cars but we don't have the EV infrastructure in India . What this country needs are DC fast charging outlets at every petrol station then the case for an EV makes sense . Otherwise for an everyday runabout while these cars are good they're just too pricey for the common man to be the " second car " as everybody needs at least one petrol burner for those highway trips . . . . .
Why they are not selling the DC fast charger ?
DC fast chargers cost a lot of money and are not used everyday even in Europe, USA or China. DC Fast Chargers of 50kW to 150kW speeds are set up by EV charging networks and used mostly on long distance trips. MG ZS EV and Kona can charge around 50kW speed.
Ac fast charger which can charge at speed of 7kwh to 11kwh priced at 60000 to 1lakh so imagine the DC fast charger price if u can afford it then u can purchase there are manufacturer who are selling those for your info 50kw DC fast charger costs around 8-10lakh there are many local and mnc companies manufacturing these u can order like ABB.
That's a whopping 200km.less for the Kona, a significant loophole... Who knows if you drive it crazy, it drops further down below.
Despite having a bigger wheelbase, the space is not that promising, again a surprising element.
Hyundai Kona has a bigger battery variant for the international markets which has even more driving range than the MG.. Since the market is not ready for EV and for their for attempt, Hyundai has bought in the lower battery variant here.
@@arvindfluidic that's fine... I understand your point. But I am taken aback with their own claim and what it's actually spitting out. If they have brought in a lower battery spec version to India, say it would go for 200 tops or 300 tops.
Kona 👍

Love this new anchor! Reminds me of Shapur, for some reason 🤔
Hyundai Kona 39.2KWh is claimed range of 350 Km. Its 44KWh is 450Km.
Most important question , Which car has better safety rating ??
Nexon TATA
Harmeet Singh
Mg zs ev with 5 star rating in ncap with 6 airbags.
India is eyeing on developing its ev market by introducing 1 million cars in the coming years and might even get a giga factory from tesla lets hope this will happen figures crossed .will buy a tesla if so
Good
Why can't MG make a Hybrid Diesel + Electric engine.. that runs on both or either?
tata nexon is a great value for money
Remember that this is the small kona with 39 kWh battery. In norway we have 64 kWh battery which is a far better and faster car.
Wait till tesal comes to india.
Hyundai Cona is best👍👍👍👍
Waiting for Tesla in India
What's the cost of those cars.??
above 20 on road
23 lakhs
Does the battery become useless like mobiles in long term???
Yes. It will.
Unlike fossil fuels, you don't get same performance at later time. Batteries do degrade.
8 years warrenty on battery. If you drive a lot daily this will save you more
The battery can run up to 500,000 Km hassle free...🤘
@@AbhishekGaurVioletVenom unlike fossil fuels cars, you don't have to keep changing parts after the first 3 years. EVs have lower maintenance cost and very low running costs.
Batteries used in EVs can last upto 500000 kms but with a reduced SoC u can still use them all EVs give a 8 year warranty on battery so till then not to worry even after that they will last 3-4 years more if ur planning to get new battery then u can use those old batteries for inverter in home or the manufacturer take old battery and give some discount on new battery u can decide which one is more economical for u. Now the battery price is 156 dollar per kwh which was 1800 dollar per kwh just 8-9 years before then think after 8 years what will be the battery cost it will be very less by then so it's a win win situation.

Alloy wheel design of kona looks like a wheelcap 😮
Aerodynamics
Both vehicles are phenomenal. Best review. But Hydrogen power cell vehicles are actually non emission vehicle. Electric vehicles are also some amount of emission, and battery is the big poisoning thing.
lol
EVs running on renewable energy sources would be absolutely non polluting. How can batteries be a " big poisonous thing "? Modern li- ion cell chemistries offer high energy and power densities, also these things can undergo thousands of charge-discharge cycles with minimum capacity losses. Clearly the advantages of these outweigh the " disadvantages " by a very big margin.
एक आम आदमी भी खरीद सके इसीलिए एक सस्ता कम प्राइस। होना चाहिए।
Kona deals with conas better.
Kona seems better
they are the same cars inside

EVs have separate motors for every single wheel which results in less battery life. If one single powerful motor drives all the 4 wheels or only back or front, then the battery life might get better in terms of long drive range.
For me Diesel is the best. Electric has no future until the range is close to 700-1000km.
Yeah everyone travels 700 km in a single trip. Lol.
Hyundai.....
Korean is better than Chinese
Both are not practical and beat the purpose of being electric
I Think EV are not ready yet for india,
We are in first iphone stage of smartphone era of ev vehicles
Tesla is in position of apple iphone of smartphone current stage and continues to be one in the ev industry.
India has to wait for super cost effective with range decent 450 km in real world condition like Oppo did it with OnePlus or Xiaomi to indian consumers, I guess to be chinese will has slight egde on US manufacturers or Indian too.
MG ZS EV looks like old creta
EVs in india is just laughable, no manufacturer is expecting any benefit by selling EVs they are doing it to prmote their own brand
MG ZS EV clearly wins!

It's a British Company
What's your point? You are one of those guys who thinks you'll never use Chinese products but the truth is day to day life the things we use has a tiny bit of Chinese influence here and there.

wait till VW id buzz arrives
VW is launching EVs in Europe because of their strict pollution laws and growing EV market there. They will not launch it soon in India. VW might launch some 1 crore costing EVs just to show off but VW ID crozz will be launched first in Europe, China, USA and then they might think of India but we will have better EVs by then.
VW and Skoda won't launch in india not atleast in near future they are saying india is not ready and don't have infrastructure to support ev manufacturing.
