Well, the X4 seems to offer a more powerful 6 cylinder diesel engine along with adaptive dampers, a panoramic sunroof , dedicated climate control for the rear and a much more exciting cabin!

Glc is a much practical car. Bmw after sale service is very poor punjab. The maintance cost is also very high. Glc is the first choice ever for me.

Between the two cars, the X4 seems a better option. However, if you compare the AMG version of the GLC, its a more comparable car. I'd get a 2018-19 GLC 43 AMG any day over these two. Those are available at nice prices in the pre-owned market.

Both "coupe" versions are not practical - I prefer their proper SUV counterparts X3 and GLC
I m a Mercedes fanboy, but Clearly x4 is the one which I would choose any day over glc.
There's something about x4's body style that makes is distinct.

I'm a Mercedes fan, but I think the X4 is better here.
Bigger question is, with the current economy who has the money to spend on a luxury product when coming months are uncertain. I hope the automotive industry can thrive bearing some losses in the coming months.
This coupé is not practical enough...u can go for the looks if u want...but I would go for the X 3....😍😍
X4 is my pick from day one when the car was launched and this 30d variant is super fun.
Latest cars of merc are low on exterior styling , infact bmw and audi are gaining on this part and mostly bmw is gaining and personally I would now shift to bmw

Merc's interior is similar to the c-class but the BMW is all new. So its wise to buy BMW with the extra money.

When we decided to change cars, what was to be an initial window shopping trip for the excited missus turned out to her actually signing on the dotted line for the BMW X4 30i M Sport! Leaving me with no comparison and have since wondered if we would've done better with the Mercedes GLC or similar from Audi. My search led me to this post and although it is of the diesel versions, I'm now glad that my wife went for the BMW. Thank you, Gavin, for the precise, informative and very entertaining post.

BMs after sales service is poor compared to merc they just don't solve or listen your problems and blame you for not driving well which needs to be corrected, thats why merc's sales is double compared to it because they provide good after sales service Traditional SUVs looks so boring and old fashioned as compared with these Copue SUVs...merc gives smooth ride quality and looks more premium is good to drive on bad roads pot holes etc and that chrome bumper looks odd should have been grey carbon or black matt finish while BMs are very stiff to ride in Indian roads and that RTFs make a lot tire noise on smooth road too must have to be replaced with tubeless as soon as you buy the car as no one has good experience with RFTs and its a pain , We Indians love the Bavaria brand and its driving experience well its a very tough choice to make in this whole world..i guess who gives more better deal will sell more as both the beauties are equally beautiful love you glc coupe & X4 ☺️

Always BMW, they are the ultimate driving machines and the most reliable German luxury brand, also they offer good service packages.
Ultimate driving machines indeed, but still it's not very reliable. I'm a BMW fanboy but it's the truth, merc is more reliable but doesn't offer the feel BMW does.

It's a fun to drive car anyday better than Germans. It's torque and driving dynamic coupled with Torque Vectoring provides a sporty and precise steering wheel.

If you buying a coupe suv, you aren't into practicality. X4 seems like a much better car here. Looks much better and you get a 6 cylinder. Which is Hard to find in this price range

Eventhough we spent more than half crore for these cars still both are forget to have recliners. They forget about comfort. Thigh support is little bit lage as you said. So in India not even a single luxury or any cars will never satisfy our needs.
Bimmer is always the best for its shear driving dynamics, safety, comfort etc.
