@@widsquard lol I'm glad they dropped the 2.8 when they went to the new body style in 1994. They were fun in the Fiero GTs but they also made more power than the S10 2.8s too.

It just had a rusted flow master muffler and an eBay cold air intake. The main thing that helps is the mini spool in put in the rear end. Both tires have no choice but to spin lol
@@jonek4731 They do fine as long as you don't put sticky tires on your truck like drag radials. The rear ends in the s10s are normally the 7.5" and are pretty weak to any amount of real power. They hold up just fine with slippery street tires for alot of smoking fun though haha
I have a 4.3 with a nv3500 but it doesn’t accelerate nearly as fast as yours but it’s a zr2 with the 4x4 & wide track wonder if that makes a difference. I drive it like a grandpa
Yes there is a big difference in weight there. Can't get any lighter than the singlecab short bed S10 and it's not like the 4.3 makes alot of power. The extra weight is the difference for sure.

I just bought a 2003 GMC sonoma with the 4.3 ltr VTEC in it and I'm doing my research on engine performances and I'm learning that these guys are way faster than I could have imagine a V6 doing in a lil truck
It helps that s10s are light vehicles lol they are super fun with Bolt-on's, a cam, and a tune. Get your rear end sorted with a limited slip set-up or a mini spool like I did and have loads of fun doing burnouts and drifts haha safely though 🤙
@@Bevenstoomer more than likely the cheapest option they could get their hands on. I've used nv3500 clutch kits behind modded 6.0s that never quit on me during second gear clutch dumps lol
ik its an old vid, but bro you are on that accelerator way too much when swapping gears, you gotta release the accelerator faster when oushing the clutch in to shift or else it's gonna overrev like it did here
Dalton Looney a cold air intake and a rusted out flowmaster muffler are the only mods. I also installed a minispool in the rear end and lowered it with a 3/3 drop. Super cheap build.

Lol the 4.3 S10 is by no means a screamer but it's probably one of the most fun trucks to play around in when paired with a manual transmission

4.3 was solid. It was literally a 350 small block with two cylinders sliced off.
