That already beats a stock 3090 and only puts it 7.8% short of the 3090 ti for the games i play at 4k 120hz. From the RUclips 4k gaming benchmarks I've seen and my calculations from my own 3080 ti 4k gaming benchmarks with modest overclock.
      I'll wait til 4080ti in 2023 🤣☠️. And that'll be faster than 3090 ti and at a lower price - probably the price of current 3080 ti. And that seems the more strategic choice for me. And for others with a 3080ti lol.

    I'll stick with my 6900 XT from XFX, my benchmarks on that card are higher than the 3090 and just barely under the 3090 Ti when comparing to your results (except ray tracing). I'm very happy with it so far minus ray tracing performance. As my first AMD GPU, I am very impressed. I'm a believer now. AMD is better than I was led to believe a year ago.

      RDNA 1 had a rough start with the drivers, but they got ironed out. RDNA 2 was full steam ahead, and if rumors are to believed, RDNA 3 may take the raster performance crown entirely. I'm expecting Ampere-or-better levels of ray-tracing.

      AMD is very competitive in the current gen and it’s only looking to get hotter. The main edge that NVidia currently has isn’t so much in raw performance but software and tech.
      Stuff like Ray tracing, DLSS, DSR, cuda, etc. are the main selling points for team green right now. But AMD is doing great with their cards, and are hopefully catching up in the tech department.

      The Suprim X is the fastest air cooling based variant you will be able to find by a couple of fps (5fps difference maybe). I also ordered one and it should arrive in a few days. Actually, I already ordered the card before, but it was dead on arrival and had to be sent back, now a new one directly from MSI is supposed to arrive in the coming days. The 12 gigs of my current Asus rog Strix OC 3080ti are not nearly enough, especially for my modding use. Just playing modded Skyrim in 4k makes 12 gigs of vram look like a complete joke and it becomes a stutter fest, unfortunately. I already was skeptical if it would be enough when I got it, but people talked into me and I decided to get it. Big mistake when I look back now.

    I just got the EVGA's FTW3 Ultra's 3080 Ti for $1,080 off Amazon new, at the end of July 2022. The 3090 ti of same spec was 1700 at the time, 2 weeks later the 3090 ti FTW3 U was $120 difference! Since I needed the extra memory for work it was an easy decision. 3080TI is no slouch though esp. the FTW3 version. At the time, (august 5th 2022) $120 trade-upgrade, for this amazing brickhouse made some sense The ftw3U 3090 Ti is very quiet and cool with less pass-through cooling, opting for a blower design with the super THICK backplate.... My card (MSI 6600 XT Gaming) has much better design, the GPU fans are completely off unless the GPU starts being hot. In practice, they are always off when I'm doing desktop stuff, and still off if I'm playing low-GPU usage games like Fall Guys. They only turn on when I'm playing graphic intensive games. • @Dracossaint
      @Dracossaint 2 года назад +1

      5 years is within minimum expected. Most good ones last 7-10 years, also it doesn't just pop one day, sometimes its a slow death because it starts to lag in transient response timing, you'll know it when ya see it kinda thing tho.
      Anytime ya statt something that pull's a lot juice it'll start Blue screening or etc.
      Also something worth mentioning for PSUs like 2016 or older it may not hold up to the random spiking that the 30 series is known for.
      Ge the 3080 is speced for 350 watts, sometimes it spikes to 450 Watts for like 5-10ms and the psu craps the bed.
