As an American, I was shocked when i went to Israel/Palestine. It's nothing like we've been taught, with all things pro-Israel. My husband and I were the only 2 tourists in Jericho that we saw. Gift shops with only their owners/employees in sight. It was downtight eerie. We couldn't even take our Israeli rental car across the border control to get in. A Palestinian taxi cab driver had to take us. Driving all over the country, after a few days it was quite evident where the Palestinians lived and the Israeli people lived. From our own personal experiences, we felt the Israelies are economically starving the Palestinians to death. To make matters worse, Trump moved the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. That in itself, has to be one of the biggest political blunders in modern day history. I still can't believe it. My brother-in-law is an Israeli Jew and was born in Jerusalem. We can't talk about this. But I know what I saw. I wish America would mind it's own business. The issue is much bigger. Iran and its proxy states want Israel wiped off the face of the map. Young people sometimes have a narrow view of the world and don't consider geopolitics. The final showdown - Iran and its supporting Muslim states Vs Israel/EU/US - If Russia or China steps in it could get a lot bigger. The medieval crusades have never ended.
Hamas has vowed to fight Israel to the end, not of the apartied but from the river to the sea., would it be under the influence of Iran and full of proxies that Israel has to worry about. If the past is a predicter of the future. You know the answer. All the states around Israel at some point has wanted its end. Why should Israel want this? As a US citizen, Iran wants the destruction of Israel and the US. Why would I want that? They wanted that before Oct 7th

If more people would regard their religion as a reason to bring people together and respect each other, rather than an excuse for hatred and division, this world would be a better place for all human beings. Simone is a sweetheart. ❤
Religion has nothing to do with it. There's many people of Jewish and Islamic faith standing up for the goal of Palestinian and Jewish safety. Over the 20th century millions died over capitalism, and millions died over communism. People will find any superficial ideology to funnel their hate. Religion has nothing to do with hate and division, religion is just religion.
@@jmhorange So just as capitalism and communism, religion does have something to do with it. Those are often the tools used to funnel the hate and division of the leaders. I may be an atheist but I have heard and seen spiritual and ideological leaders preach exactly like that. People aren't intrinsically malevolent, it takes time and repetition to make them scared of the outside world. Because people are easily fooled and want to be part of a group they are vulnerable to indoctrination. It takes a strong personality to not be affected by what your leaders try hard to imprint. For example, Americans who have never lived abroad truly believe it is the land of the free, a democracy and that anyone can 'make it there'. Those that lived in western Europe for a while dont necessarily believe that mantra anymore. Republicans think Democrats will destroy the US and Democrats think republicans will destroy the US. Apparently every American is scared the US will be destroyed and yet they are at each other's throats. Through ideology and religion leaders have that power. I applaud the people who let humanitarian vision rule their thoughts and actions, it is more than often not the hard road.
I admire this young woman for strepping up and speaking her truth but I have to point out the brutal reality that befalls us all: It does not matter what you aspire your history/culture/religion/ethnicity to encompass. What matters is what actions are being taken towards those aspirations. I am Greek and saying that my people have had a substantial impact to anything good about modern civilization is an understatement. However, this does not change the fact that today I ashamed to be a Greek. Cause actions speak louder than words could ever hope to. And Greece failed the test, like almost all western countries did. It's true that people are not the same, am very surprised that there are some Jewish people that condemn what Israelis defense forces are doing to gaza and Palestinians in general. May GOD bless you all.

It was obscene for me, watching a Shabbat service where the speech was given about the value of life and mercy and compassion, the Israeli hostages of Gaza were specified, while they completely ignored the Palestinian babies, children, women, fathers, elders and civilians that the Israelis kidnap, hold hostage, slaughter and abuse. I was absolutely repulsed. It became evident that we do not have the same values. It’s sad. I pray that Jews be delivered from Zionism.

Follow BDS (eg boycott McDonald's, Starbucks etc) but obviously as Simone is an example not all Americans support this genocide. So educate yourself about who SPECIFICALLY or what companies are enabling genocide. There's power in both supporting who is doing the right thing as well as not supporting those doing the wrong thing. For example read/watch the GreyZone and the Electronic Intifada. Don't read /watch US corporate media like CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, Washington Post etc
At a pro-Palestinian rally I attended I would guess from the speakers there was a heavy Jewish presence. Imagine seeing a Jewish Rabbi with a Palestinian Ahmad side by side asking us to bow ours heads in silence for the people of Palestine.

Thank you Simone for standing up for Justice. A great human and fearless to speaking the truth. Hat's off to you.
One of the absolute BEST interviews I’ve seen from a Jewish speaker. She has such a good head on her shoulders, may her future always be bright and successful. Israel NEEDS people like her.
You make me proud of being a human being despite of so many people that don't understand that is a responsibility. Thank you
A woman with sense!

As a US citizen I am ashamed of our governments stance on this issue. I have been a lifelong Democrat but there is no way I will vote for Biden again.
Trump is no better in that respect (or any for that matter). You have my sympathy, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Dictator Trump thanks you!
Unfortunately your two-party system is messed up and Trump will only be worse for Palestine..
Palestine United all humans despite their backgrounds, religion, race, nationality, and past . Faith in humanity is restored when I listen to people like her. Thankyou
United all humans? LOL You're kidding right?
Humanity absent in THE BOOK abduls follow.

What a great representative of the Jewish community and humanity!
Brave sister well done for speaking the truth
She's a good example of why we need to vote younger people into offices and vote out the elderly.
All elections are rigged.
A impenetrable wall of lies.
Some older people know- why not looking for old people ?
First you need a system in which no politicians are allowed to take corporate money.
Not really how solve anything, age is just a number. See Burnie Sanders and Ben Shapiro.

Hearing her speak, I feel there is hope ❤
Beautiful speech. Love and Peace.🥰
More award winning journalism . Much appreciated.
Huge respect for this lady for speaking hard truth.
Ultimately, it will be the Jews outside of Israel that will set Palestine free. Much respect and admiration for South Africa.
A wonderful Journalist presenter for Al Jazeera Samantha Johnson . Samantha's presentation in this interview was superb brilliant. Keep it up both of these wonderful ladies. keep going from strength to strength. And Inshalla God Willing, the oppression of the Palestinian People will come to an end, and hopefully the Palestinians will most definitely come through this, heal and prosper

Thankyou for speaking the truth.
What we are seeing is the degradation of the whole of humanity.
What a wonderful human being!
FREE PALESTINE DAMMIT
Well stated. I agree fully and I also went to Israel/Palestine and witnessed this for myself.
It's true that people are not the same, am very surprised that there are some Jewish people that condemn what Israelis defense forces are doing to gaza and Palestinians in general. May GOD bless you all.

Thank you. What more can sane people of any faith/background do, but stand for justice, human rights and nonviolent solutions to conflict.
I live in a western country where our political choices at elections are economically based not humanitarian. This is how states like Israel end up like us. Everything looks great at the cafe on Friday afternoon but underneath this facade is a volcano.

Simone Zimmerman you are a Wonderful and great person. Not only do you express your most sincere feelings for the oppressed Palestinian people, there is no doubt that you will stand up for any person in the world that is downtroddened upon and harmed. Also importantly for yourself, you will never ever suffer any guilt feelings of this brutality of the Palestinian people. you will always be a wonderful free happy person. And so for all other good people of the world which includes the thousands of wonderful Jewish people of the world as well
Keep it up young lady, may others be impressed by your voice. May God protect you from harm.
These are precious human beings, they need to be respected and protected
It was obscene for me, watching a Shabbat service where the speech was given about the value of life and mercy and compassion, the Israeli hostages of Gaza were specified, while they completely ignored the Palestinian babies, children, women, fathers, elders and civilians that the Israelis kidnap, hold hostage, slaughter and abuse. I was absolutely repulsed. It became evident that we do not have the same values. It’s sad. I pray that Jews be delivered from Zionism.
Please boycott 🇺🇲🇮🇱🏴. For commiting, aiding & abetting genocide
Indeed. 👍
I already eat at Jollibee not McDo and drink Nescafe not Starbucks. But I am already using Google Pixek 3xl phone prior to October 7 and no budget buying Apple phone. Sorry
👏🇵🇸✌️
Follow BDS (eg boycott McDonald's, Starbucks etc) but obviously as Simone is an example not all Americans support this genocide. So educate yourself about who SPECIFICALLY or what companies are enabling genocide. There's power in both supporting who is doing the right thing as well as not supporting those doing the wrong thing. For example read/watch the GreyZone and the Electronic Intifada. Don't read /watch US corporate media like CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, Washington Post etc
👍🍉
Thank you Simone Zimmermann !For speaking the truth.
At a pro-Palestinian rally I attended I would guess from the speakers there was a heavy Jewish presence. Imagine seeing a Jewish Rabbi with a Palestinian Ahmad side by side asking us to bow ours heads in silence for the people of Palestine.
It’s a beautiful thing when people come together in search of positive outcomes!!
WHAT A GREAT INTERVIEW!!! THANK YOU FOR THAT!!! I AM SOOOO WHISHING FOR PEACE FOR EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON OUR PLANET. ❤❤❤
Great to see Simone Zimmerman (who features in the documentary "Israelism") continuing to speak truth to power. I admire her unquenchable desire for justice (btw, she's also gorgeous ❤).

Thank you Mrs Zimmerman for your wonderful intelligence, humanity and your challenge of the occupation/apartheid narrative to keep Jews safe. You are a gift to the Jewish community and restoring our hope for Peace. If only Mr Biden could hear your wisdom!
"Never again" means "this time we will do it" 😒
Here, I want to say that in my despair and desparation to do something about stopping the Palestinian genocide, what felt like a hatred was building inside me, for Jews, for Zionists, for Israel until I stopped and listened to his young Jewish woman and it was so healing, like a weight was lifted that was beginning to drown what was better in me. I am so grateful for this young woman and for this interview. When I saw it the very first time, I copied and pasted the link and had intended to share it over and over again because I thought it would do for others what it did for me, but every time I tried to repost, it said it was unavailable. Since I am quite illiterate in technology compared to the young, it could have been me. It was very frustrating to think something as good as this would be taken down because some other entity didn't want it to be known. But a friend helped me find it again and I am going to spread it as widely as I can. Thank you. She has a bright future if we can all prevent the WEF, WHO, the current western government and the hidden hands funding them from making us all slaves.
Thanks for speaking out.
God bless you ma'am big love and respect 🎉❤❤❤

I felt depressed thinking of Gaza recently, yet Simone here being so articulate and emotionally honest, opens up some space at least for some rays of sunshine. Thank you

Well said, thank you for saying for the mass. The guidance of our conscience leads us to the right path. salute!
I saw the movie Israelism and I would encourage everyone to see it. Big donors were keeping us from seeing it at UPenn. I saw it later on line. Another good documentary is The Law and the Prophets by Joshua Vis. It shows what it is like for a Palestinian to live under Israeli apartheid. Learned a lot.

Excellent interview. I watched _Israelism_ a couple of weeks ago, and it feels, in a sense, incomplete because it was filmed pre-October 7th but released post-October 7th. Simone Zimmerman's comments here sort of fill in those gaps, add that context.
