    I had these problems for over 15 years including disability in my right arm for 6 years and a doctor who wouldn’t listen or even try to figure it out (offered me meds like Aleve, antidepressants and benzodiazepines only). It turns out I had inflammation in my whole spine which is now deteriorated and deformed from all those years without treatment. They say it’s seronegative rheumatoid arthritis or fibromyalgia…sure. Our medical system failed me (Canada).

    My spinal cord was being pressed on at the C5. The neurosurgeon relieved pressure in the front spine replacing the C5 with a cage and screws. On the backside he put screws and rods from my c3 to c7. He removed bone to relieve pressure on the backside. He then used some of my ground up bone and doner bone to fuse my cervical spine.

  • @UchihaSumairu

    I wish there was a video like this for middle/upper back. I've got confirmed 2 herniations in c5/6 and c6/7 as well as "ventral cord flattening" whatever that means. also "slight reversal of the expected cervical lordosis" so have all the symptoms you listed here. When i press the right side of my spine lower down between my shoulder blades there is a part that feels similar to the c5/6 and c6/7 spot but it is way below where the MRI was done. I have my point/middle thumb on my right finger are partly numb and my whole arm gets the "pins and needles" feeling as well as shoulder pain.
    A symptom I don't understand is between my spine and shoulder blade it feels VERY painful. the other parts hurt bad too but this is the WORST pain. nearly as bad as when I move my neck just wrong and it feels like my whole body goes limp from the pain but at all times. I cant lay down or sit down in comfort because of this and so for most nights I can't sleep and just have to walk and pace back and forth for HOURS.
    Another symptom i've started having is slightly weak legs and I peed myself in my sleep once (to be fair this was my first night on the pain medication). I have to pee a LOT lately and my balance isn't quite right. I'm sure some of this is the pain meds but im worried the pee/muscle weekness are signs of things getting worse.
    I wasn't able to get pain meds from my normal doctor even after 3 months of working with him to finally get an MRI he suddenly "realized" i was in a car accident and he refuses to see patients with car accidents. This is just after the MRI proving I NEED some pain relief. I was stuck with just the 300mg per day of gabapentin . I went to the emergency room to get some as I couldn't sleep and was starting to see things from lack of sleep. they gave me 7.5mg of hydrocodine as well as 20mg baclofen and 10mg ketorolac as well ass an upped dose of 900mg per day of gabapentin. This is REALLY helped with the pain except that they only gave me a 3 day supply and i ran out today. I need to wait until the 20th (nearly a month after my MRI) to get to see another doctor to get the pain relief I need and speak about surgery/shots or whatever he thinks is best.
    Anyways do you think this might be the drugs? another herniation lower down? should I call the doctor and beg for an earlier appointment out of fear for losing use of my legs/bladder control? etc. I'd go see a doctor but I've already spent all the money I can afford plus more just doing this so I really have to wait for the insurance approved doctor if possible.
    Anyways this video is super old so I don't actually expect a response especially before the 20th but if you happen to know let me know!

Start with yogic stretches for neck and shoulder ec: Marjaryasana, greeva sanchalana etc etc and then move on to slightly advanced asanas. Join a yoga class focussing more on neck and shoulder.

    I was able to use the McKenzie Technique of chin tucking to correct my C-5 (also iced the scapula). This technique didn't work for my C-4, so I had an artificial disc replacement (Mobi-C) 8 years ago. It was completely paid for by insurance and was well worth it!
    Highly recommend this surgery if you're unable to get it to self-correct through exercises. The book Neck by Robin McKenzie may help..

      @circa1890 Месяц назад

      @thalai143 I had a severe bulging disc at C5 -C6 and a specialist in the McKenzie Technique helped me with chin-tucks to begin with.
      We did "off the table" together, 2x/week and I did daily chin tucks along with getting a McKenzie roll to place in front of my pillow.
      Within a few weeks the bulge had gone back into the disc area and no pain after that.
      Have you been in pain long? Are some of your fingers numb?
      I do suggest a PT (McKenzie is best) and not a chiropractor for this medical issue.

      Surgery! I had 3 stage cervical disc surgery 1/7/21. Took and entire year to heal. Still have nerves irritation cause I developed tinnitus went my disc compressed my spinal cord. Developed a small contusion on the cord as well. Sound left my right ear and gravitated to hearing signals on the right side of my head. It used to be so intense I developed depression and anxiety real bad. I had numbness in my fingers, toes, triceps, delta and bicep pain. Forearm pain. It was bad! I ignored the symptoms for years with massages, sports creams you name it. The surgery healed everything. The tinnitus is slowly decreasing. I think my nerves were so compressed they state the nerves take the longest to heal. diet change, unhealthy habits and faith turned the corner for me. C5, c6 and c7 ROI-c artificial disc replacement. Still have good mobility and neck movement. Cervical stenosis is what I have. C3 and c4 fused on its on.
