I am super excited to see a dark, edgy, moody version. At least half the time that is where my style lives. A lot of dark style examples I see are for hardcore goths or emo high school kids. I am neither of these things.

I am an older cool girl with outsider tendencies: I've always loved the high-low mix, but with a polished and (slightly) preppy edge. I love hats and scarves and "the wrong shoe" - which I never understood as both hiding and showing. I was also once upon a time a big fan of Man Repeller!!! #blackismywhite

I’m Up, probably RU. I consider my style to be pretty “fun,” but the only outfit I would wear out of this whole video is the sweetheart outfit on Reese Witherspoon. Even so, I found the video very helpful! It really helped me nail down my most helpful archetypes: the icon and the role model. I liked the explanation that the Icon’s mission in life can be *related to fun.* From this, I extrapolate that it doesn’t have to be vocational (I’m a homeschooling mom). I also think my life mission includes bringing beauty into the world, and fashion helps me do that.
