The priestess being “unattainable” and “at a distance” is a great description. Mythically and psychologically the priestess was considered the eternal maiden (virginal) in the sense that she was the archetypal unconscious mystery, and thus unknowable or unattainable - impenetrable. Angelica Houston is such a good example as she feels epic and yet… who is she? Really good embodiment 😂
I just found this system, and I have to say, not only do you radiate light and joy in your videos, but you have touched my heart. When you started describing the role model, I completely related to the desire to want more and holding myself to a higher standard, but also feeling like I have to give myself permission to do more. But when you said that it’s all about allowing yourself to take up space and feel comfortable shining, it made me tear up. Thank you for encouraging me to be myself and let myself shine 🥹 wishing you all of the best! God bless ❤️
Rita, I’m curious which Right-Up archetype you identify with. ☺️ I was picturing you in each of them through the video and felt like either the Role Model or Playful Dame were the closest.
Oh my god i felt so seen when you started to talk about the princess, that is totally my archetype, I wasn't sure if I was a right up a little close to down or a right down very close to up, but now I can clearly see in which category I fit
When you were talking about the Role Model I was like "that kinda sounds like me", then with the Priestess it was "maybe during certain occasions", but when you were talking about the Power I was like "OH. OK. yeah that's totally me" . And I don't think I would have thought that from just hearing the names of the archetypes. There's definitely a lot of yang elements to my typical outfits, and I definitely tend to go in the dark, moody direction. Which being a TR, makes dressing the way I want to difficult sometimes, but I feel I've gotten pretty good at balancing my looks with more yin elements. I have also been trying to add more "lighter" looking outfits into my wardrobe the past few months and I've been quite liking that. And then I was thinking about how my friends have said they perceive me. One friend said that before she got to know me, she thought I was very serious (I mean, I am kinda serious, I've had other people say that too. My nickname on my soccer team was "The Serious One") and seemed unapproachable and hard to get to know. Another friend said she thinks I have a bit of an edge to me and am quite mysterious (she also said she could see me as a pirate, so I don't know what that means essence wise (if anything)). I should probably look at my wardrobe and see if any of my regular outfits are too left leaning, cuz I think that may be happening. Any ideas on how I would know if the outfits were too left?
For a while I thought I was Left + Up, but the description of the Power archetype seems to fit. I know I'm strongly Up, but seem to be more borderline with Left and Right. Looking forward to the Left + Up archetypes so I can compare and contrast!
I'm in a similar headspace, where I'm definitely Up, but am more or less central. While I occasionally resonate better with the left keywords, when it gets to the descriptions and examples, Power is definitely a better fit for me than Lady Heretic.
I want to be right up and a princess/playful dame, but I'm learning that I'm too down for that look! Thank you for putting words/images with these ethereal concepts it's so helpful to see what we do or don't resonate with!
So nice to finally hear about new archetypes, especially in my quadrant! It only solidified what I was thinking lately about what style means to me. Maybe admitting that I like some distance and some mystery is still a bit hard. ;) I identify with the Priestess archetype and I noticed recently that my looks need something ethereal - maybe this is what brings some mystery and takes me "off the ground" into the distance. I need to think now about my ceremonial outfit for home office :D because it's hard to spent so much of my time not connected to my style and as you put it my "mission". I'm impatiently waiting to hear about RD and LU archetypes!
This was really helpful. Originally I thought I was right down, but it felt a bit wrong, like there wasn’t enough of something there & none of the examples fit. I had kind of given up on the system. This made me realize I’m definitely the playful dame & now it all makes sense.
Oh man, I knew I was located on the Right but I couldn't tell where else I was, which made me nervous! Lol but once you got into explaining The Priestess, I felt myself relax and I started smiling. I saw your post on reddit with outfit examples/descriptors, and that's what nailed it for me! I absolutely dress to express myself but I'm also fully aware of what and how much I'm telling people about myself with it. "Dressing up" in my life has a pretty limited meaning (I'm at home most days, and when I'm working I'm in a medical setting), but getting a dress for my friend's wedding, planning the hairstyle, etc. took me about a month so I could Get It Right haha and I make excuses for myself to "dress up" (or basically decide going out for an appointment, seeing a friend, etc. is made to be An Occasion, and then I'll put together a style that suits me, a very creatively-centered person, that day!) I love adding style theories to what I already know. It helps me get a much better understanding of my shape, style, and aesthetic! --Kitchener natural-romantic-ethereal, suspected Kibbe SC, Ellie-Jean's Style Roots flower-moon-earth :)
It’s funny how I find myself in this quadrant after watching nearly all of your videos! At first I was very lost but the more I watched the more I understand your system and it’s great! I find some of myself in all those archetypes and it took me some consideration to decide more or less where I place myself. It may explain for me some of little nuances in my life. When I was younger I liked to shop in second-hand shops to find some extra clothes, something more interesting than in regular stores. I liked strange clothes. I also had a phase in life when I was very concerned what others think about me, but for last years I got more adventurous. Other signs that helped me to place myself in this quadrant: although sometimes I choose relaxed, informal clothes I don’t like them plain and I feel uncomfortable if they look boring to me - I wouldn’t personally feel cute or powerful in jeans and plain white t-shirt, but it doesn’t mean that I would never wear this combo. Well for one of the last parties I wore jeans, but they were balloon style, whitewashed ones with beige romantic top with big puff sleeves, draping and heart cleavage. Added checked jacket and still felt very casual :) When I’m buying something I rarely choose something very simple because it is too boring, I like when clothes speak to my creativity. Plain colors in capsule wardrobes were also too dull for me. Other symptoms: a lot of my clothes is in red colour which is not part of my soft autumn identity. I pay attention to details in clothes, small ones also are important for me. I like makeup very much and I very often get compliments that my makeup is very high editorial, when in reality for me it looks normal. I love a lot of makeup, bold eyeliner or red lips and I’m not afraid to get attention because of using a lot of highlighter or pink powder on my cheeks. About hair, I love when it brings attention - I love my wavy, long hair and I like to care for it. For me being sexy or sensual doesn’t mean to show a lot of skin but to be honest I’ve been experimenting with it recently. I also think funny is that for a rave concert that I’ve attended I chose flowery, tight dress - my friends were shocked by this, but in the same time they told me that it’s really visible that I’m living my best life in this outfit with this music… Thank you very much Rita for this resources and insights!
By the way, I am fully booked right now but if you're interested in working with me on your style, you can visit my website stylethoughtsbyrita.com and join my mailing list!

I am definitely Right but couldn't really place myself Up or Down. I am drawn to Down, casual outfits but it alway falls a bit flat and a bit Up-ness was missing. The second I put earrings on, and clothes that are not just "the basics" I get complimented for looking good. I also seem to be a bit mysterious and hard do get to know for people (even family and friends, they can't really figure me out) but I still seem to be warm and friendly enough to be likable. 😅 Thanks Rita!

I love this typology system because it centers self-expression instead of one’s inborn traits. And I know I pull it off because literally every time I go to a large event, 10+ people comment on how great I look and ask me for advice. His style was phenomenal, but I want to figure out how to make my own which honors the same lofty archetypes that his style did, but consciously this time instead of subconsciously! He also had a more Luciferian aura to his wardrobe, I want to try and incorporate the more Godly side of us to create a nuanced and delicious duality in our style! Whether that will be done by switching up on black and jewel tones vs. whites beiges and golds or by doing something primarily in between, I do not yet know. Being a system is hard because everybody got some new grand idea all the time 🙄🤣
Me waking up 0.01% more influenced by Lucifer: “We’re going to look deadly and wealthy today, boys! It’s all jewels and silks here” Me waking up 0.01% more influenced by God: “Nvm I’m going monk mode. An off-white linen kaftan with brushed brass accessories would literally cure me, if I can explain to my mom why I’m suddenly shopping for that after 10 years of wearing nothing but black silks and jewel tones”
And yes I am a Priestess lol. I’m playing the long game here, not buying any new clothes or anything because I’m gonna plan out my style to the T and then do a total wardrobe makeover.
Thank you soooo much #StyleThoughtsbyRita for sharing your style system. 🙂When can we expect the final archetype: #RightDownEssence ? Many greetings from Germany! 🙂
