"Families gathered around a refrigerated truck at a Syrian-Turkish border post, waiting earlier this month for the drivers to dispense their awful cargo: the bodies of 52 Syrian men, killed in a war 600 miles away.
The dead were mercenaries, recruited by Turkish-backed militias in Syria to fight on behalf of Azerbaijan against Armenia, relatives said. They were deployed as shock troops, to claw back scraps of territory in the contested Nagorno-Karabakh enclave.
“They went to break the borders,” said a cousin of Mahmoud Najjar, a 38-year-old Syrian fighter. The cousin, interviewed by telephone, said Najjar’s body in the cold truck was marked with the number 12."*

During the Armenian occupation in 1991, more than 600 thousand Azeri Turks had to emigrate from Karabakh and the surrounding region. This number was at least 5 times higher than the number of Armenians living in Karabakh. Currently, no Azeri Turks live in the region. I think it shows much more clearly who did the ethnic cleansing. I condemn you for making biased and dirty propaganda. Armenia must comply with the resolutions of the United Nations and immediately withdraw from the territories it occupies. It is also another journalistic tragedy that you do not take into account Armenia's shooting ballistic missiles on civilians in different cities of Azerbaijan and killing dozens of people.

Very one sided and biased video putting the blame solely on Azerbaijan and Turkey...You didn't mention the bombings Armenia has done in Azerbaijan, occupation of UN recognised Azeri lands by Armenian militia outside of Nagorno-Karabakh, Khojaly massacre, displacement of hundreds of thousands of Azeris..And just recently, Armenia's bombing of residential areas and Ganja. The truth of the matter is that both sides are to blame for the escalation, as a "journalist", you should be objective and cover both sides of the conflict

Well there is something called 'international law' and that gives the region to Azeris but Armenians refuse to live under Azeri flag.
There is a (what you almost can call) peace treaty 14 years ago which both sides signed.. Armenia had to make the first move, did they do it??? No...
Nagorno Karabakh is just the second fase of the conflict.. the first one are the surrounding territories which Armenian forces OCCUPY, WHICH IS A CRIME AND WHICH GIVES A COUNTRY THE RIGHT TO FIGHT BACK.
Discussing this conflict with Armenians is like talking to one-celled-brainers... mono-ethnic way of thinking and above all BLIND. Wake up!!! When abiding by international law is called being the victim nowadays, humanity has a problem. just freaking abide!! Russia will never hurt Turkey directley, stop crying like damn babies and just abide. I'm no Azeri and very far from the conflict, but this is just madness told by this lady above. Otherwise - there are no borders and everyone will just clean their lands from any ethnic minority to not provoke a land-grab. Thats why in order to maintain peace and not to fall into total madness of ethnic cleansings countries have right to restore their official borders. Like Ukraine has a right to take back its lands in the East, Cyprus has rights to take back its lands from Turks in the North. And so on. Everyone who is opposing it is the actual aggressor.

Technically all of this is Azeri troops retaking lands occupied by Armenians for 30 years. Why do those Armenians live there? Because we the West created a bunch of arbitrary borders in an area where people used to travel freely under the Ottoman Empire and Soviet Union. The ethnic Armenians in Nagorno Karabakh is one thing but the military occupation by Armenia is another. Turkey isn't furthering the genocide (which DID happen, I'm not a denier) they are just making the smartest move geopolitically for themselves. Honestly, the whole area was better controlled by the Ottomans.
And Ana you can't say "they had the first school built there! It's their land!" when you could say the same about Palestine/Israel and I am very pro Palestine. Have to be consistent. /rant

Friends, since Armenia is the losing party here, it is seen as a victim. However, the conflict started with Armenia attacking the Azerbaijani city of Ganja on 27 September. In addition, I ask you to read and review "United Nations General Assembly Resolution 62/243". Armenia has been occupying Azerbaijani territories for nearly 30 years and although the whole world demands it, it does not withdraw from those lands.
The only culprit of this war is Armenia, and this conflict can only be brought to an end by withdrawing Armenia from those lands.
sounds just like what Israel has been doing to Palestine.....yet the USA sides with Israel. in the end killing civilians and bombing churches is disgusting and unjustified no matter how you spin it.

Because since the beginning of the conflict, Armenia has lost most of its army in a 2-week period and now their only hope is international begging. It has been proven many times that the church or civilian targets were damaged by themselves for propaganda purposes only.
In addition, Azerbaijan mostly uses drone fleets, eliminating Armenian forces with laser and heat-guided missiles. On the other hand, Armenia uses ballistic artillery shots without distinguishing between civilians and military targets. Frankly, any statement that Armenia says is not true at this point.

Stalin's goal was to draw up internal borders for territorially contiguous administrative regions, not templates for independent nation-states. And during the Soviet days, Gharabagh had broad autonomy. There may be a lot to criticise Stalin for, but this war isn't one of them. It is a direct consequence of Azerbaijan's decision, in its nascent independence, to not recognise the popular sovereignty of Gharabagh and also of Erdogan's megalomania.

He also sold American tech to Israel so they could build their own war machine. So whatever is built over there has a US stamp on it. And yes Russia probably is supplying anyone who fights for Russia. But Putin and Trump are buddies so what's the difference?
