I’ve had one for 3 weeks now and absolutely love it. Up and down 5 times with it on Sunday. It’s so easy to use and it always goes straight at the pin and always hit the middle of the club. My shirt game was reasonable but it’s gone up a level again now

Hi Matt thanks for taking the time to comment. I can see them being very effective too. Do you use your putter grip or regular grip when using it? Regards Paul

@@GolfShow hi mate same as you did really. Putter grip close to green then I had to use my normal grip anything 20-40 yards as it just didn’t feel right otherwise.

funny how all the single handicap players compare it to a technique they have practiced for years, and the chipper gives a similar result in minutes. they pro then says, the club is not for me.... it reminds me of how hybrid clubs were marketed to high handicap players originally. i think the hybrid started with a company naming a hybrid the rescue. i think it took the pros on the pga tour ten years to put them in the bag.

I found it does work great for long shots, using the putter stroke all the way back up.

Not many golfers practice chipping even 2 hours/week. Chipper clubs are golden for amateurs. Saving par is key to break or shoot low 80s

Don’t care how it looks really… you cannot fat chips with this. It will go thin obviously, but the sole will not allow it to dig in. If you are prone to not reaching/fatting/heavy contacts (as I was) this will help you. I have tried on the wettest muddiest green surround and deliberately tried to dig it in - it will not - the bounce just keeps it above ground. Very easy club to hit perfectly….. the rest is up to you! 😊

Nope. Not 42 degrees of loft. Cleveland chipper is the 42 degrees of loft. This ping is 38.5 degrees of loft. I like your review. Very well done. You tried it from many different distances. I bought one about 2 weeks ago and love it. I own the Cleveland one as well but I do think the Ping is easier to direct at least for me. Ping did an awesome job on it. Thanks for a good review. Joe

Still a no go for me Paul but that PING certainly looks better than the Odyssey 👍
We had Macca, Corrine and Trigg over at West End yesterday and I was showing Macca the Hybrid 'chip', he didn't think he would have had the touch for it but he was absolutely fine...that has to be a better more versatile choice.
Looking forward to more PING reviews...ONWARDS 👍👍👍

The chippers aren't for me but that one does look decent. I think your point at the end is important.... What do you take out of the bag to put in the chipmaster 🤷‍♂️

Cheers Kev. It was great but such a one dimensional club I wouldn’t game it. Hope you are keeping well mate 👍🏼

I have a Ping Chipr, I live in Florida, My take is totally different from everyone. The Chipr taught me the right and wrong way to chip. Once I mastered the Chipr I applied the same technique to my 9 - A and sand wedge. I can hit a 5 foot radius to the pin all day long. The Chipr is in my bag now but only used for specific shots. the $180.00 dollars spent was quite worth it because the price of the golf lessons would have cost me a fortune compared to the price of the club. Its not a miracle club and its not a gimmick club. Its a specific club for a specific shot. Funny thing is off the fairway I can hit it 145 Yards even thou I don't do it when I'm in a serious game. I'm a 12 handicap, was a 16. If I could Putt who knows.

It just seems like an unnecessary luxury to me, will stick to my 8 iron for little chips. It does look fantastic though, especially compared to the oddesy
