Couple of things I didn’t mention just because they seemed obvious to me but there are a lot of comments about: 1. I didn’t pay for it - it came from a medical procedure so the whole thing has been covered by insurance. The doctor didn’t encourage me to do it for cosmetic reasons, it was because you can have complications with scar tissue (especially like mine which was expanding) as you age. 2. I would HAVE to wait until swelling goes down etc., I was on a waitlist the first time and would be if I didn’t anything else. You can’t just walk into a doctor and say SURGERY TODAY PLEASE! (So don’t worry about me making rash decisions - I both wouldn’t and am literally unable to here, of course have to wait).
Yeah makes sense for sure. I was thinking definitely do it if you want to, just make sure to wait to see how it will end up looking so they can be matched up instead of matching what you look like now
If even the insurance company didn't consider it cosmetic surgery then I wouldn't either. They find any reason to reject coverage. It was to prevent future medical complications. Any cosmetic change is a side effect.
Alanah your a good one..lol The way you approach things is the way i approach things..IT IS WHAT IT IS! No need to stress, cause that solves nothing! Right? lol Scars build character..dont sweat it!
Obviously, please let the swelling completely go down before you commit to a decision on a lift, or even the tattoo removal, You don't want to jump ahead and over shoot where the eyebrow will now sit, It may be off once the swelling is gone, but indeterminate until you are 100% healed or you know, 98% just take your time alright, whatever you choose is the right choice. peace and love.
suggest you wait for the swelling to go down before making any further decisions. The technology/ techniques exist for scarless treatment, but what's done is done
The dog bark at 8:22 scared the shit out of me, in my headphones it really sounded like it was coming from right corner of my room. I Almost had an heart attack! :) Also I'm sure you will look absolutely fine in the end Alanah!
😂 I read this comment before starting the video, had my headphones on, was working in the garage listening and it got me too LMAO! I jumped a foot off the ground. Your comment makes this 1000% better 😭
My dad was a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and I think the way he approached it definitely gave me a more sympathetic attitude to the idea of "cosmetic surgery". He always took time to talk to his patients and figure out what they wanted and why, and if he didn't think the surgery would actually help them he would refuse. But patients who approached him with genuine rationale for why a surgery would be a boost to their mental state, he would put his all into making them as satisfied as they could be. Unfortunately, I think there are a lot of surgeons (particulary in LA lol) that have no issue just taking money from people and doing whatever they ask for. Wishing you the best with your recovery, and I hope you can get to a place where you are happy both mentally and physically!
I would consider eyebrow tattoos as cosmetic surgery - like almost by definition thats what it is. Needles injecting cosmetic ink into your face as makeup.
Thank you for being so real and so confident all at once, Alanah. I honestly wish I had the confidence you did! I honestly probably wouldn’t have noticed it to be honest. But when you title the video the way you did, of course we’re gonna look lol. 😅 Thanks for keeping us posted and giving us confidence to aspire to. Hope all recovers well!
Before you make any sort of decision, you should let the healing completely finish up... it may take longer than you expect, too. Let it all heal, then go for the tattoo removal (both sides, so you can have a chance to realign them) and then wait a bit more. The tissue on that side of your face will shift over time because the new scar is also probably going to stretch. My friend's daughter got mauled by a dog and had to have facial reconstructive surgery so it does just genuinely take some time and things move, even after the healing part is done. Probably a little less shifting around as she was a child and you are clearly not.
Absolutely! Don't do anything until things have had time to settle. Then, if things don't even out, go with the tattoo removal. At most, get the other side tattooed to balance it. But I definitely don't think the eyebrow lift is the right course of action. What would happen if it isn't 100% even after the fact? Then she will have done it for nothing.
Of course, I have to let it heal, I am not an idiot :). I wasn’t going to walk in on Monday and get surgery - it doesn’t work that way haha. You have to wait for months etc.
I've had surgeries on my forehead and brow in unrelated circumstances. It absolutely wrecked what little facial symmetry I had going on from a fairly early age (5 and 12, respectively). I'm sure if I got corrective surgery now, it would really throw me off. I will say that time did bring things more into balance, but it's never been quite right since the surgeries. The little scars are always good for stories.
@@AlanahIRL I think most people will support whatever you want to do if you feel like it will help you. Personally, I couldn't even tell, if you didn't point it out to me. But I think people got it right, be conservative for now with your approach, wait for things to heal, fix the tatoo, then go from there.
I had MRSA/Staph infection right under my eye. My face swelled up so bad I couldn't see out of my left eye. I had to have a CAT scan to make sure the infection didn't affect my eye. Eye was good, but I had to do the whole pack and repack the wound for a few weeks. The wound hole that MRSA leaves is deep and scary. I now have a small crater where the wound was. I got MRSA again a year or so after the first infection. This time in the knee. It was so painful, I cried trying to go up stairs to my room. My heart goes out to anyone that has to deal with MRSA/staph.
Im a surgeon although not cosmetic one and I’m sure you’ll do it but need to wait a couple of months or even a year for it to heal and the skin to stretch naturally and your brow will go down, after you can see the tattoo thing and go from there. It’s hard to not be self conscious about it but try not to be so hard on yourself. Just don’t do any decisions right now.
So...I can only form words fully from one side of my mouth properly as well, and watching this I just realised I can only raise my eyebrow fully on the same side as well. Never made the link before, or heard of Bell's Palsey until now...thank you for making these videos, they really help people
"Content creators" and "RUclipsrs" are seldom this frank, up-front and honest. I can't help but respect that. I wish you all the best and hope that, whatever you choose to do, your decision is the right one for you. A different face in the mirror doesn't have to be a different you. All the best!
4:05 "My face has never been symmetrical". Well it sure isn't more symmetrical now... 😂 I have a feeling trying to fix this will turn into a series... Looking forward to seeing the eyebrow tattoo removal! At least you're laughing about it! 😊
People called me a sociopath and a “walking red flag” for seeming so calm when I was dealing with the staph infection. It was very weird. Like, legitimately vicious comments.
I've encountered this a few times in relationships. Apparently, I'm supposed to get more upset and emotional. but I just sort of disassociate a little and become logical.@@AlanahIRL
@@AlanahIRLthat's so strange to me... I totally understood it, even as someone with anxiety disorders that have been very severe at times. Different things affect different people to different extents! Even as someone with a couple of anxiety/anxiety adjacent disorders, I basically never get anxious about big medical things, including having an emergency mri on my lower back because of potentially having a condition that could've paralysed me or led to all sorts of other nerve problems - and I was told I'd need emergency surgery almost right after they got the results if it was this particular thing bc it's an extremely time sensitive thing... the whole time I was quite chill other than getting checked in and triaged because it was taxing for my adhd self to deal with questions, remember where to go, remember what I'd been doing, how long symptoms had been going on for etc... the rest of the process was pretty fine, I even enjoyed my mri 🤷🏼♀️. It turned out I didn't have spinal nerve compression luckily, but I was fully mentally prepared for a tricky, somewhat risky surgery to relieve the pressure if it needed to be done. My brain very much switches into a mode where if something is medically beneficial or necessary, I simply won't get anxious about it because "it's gotta be done" 🤷🏼♀️. For me, anxiety is about uncertainty, and the prospect of a lack of answers or resolution... I can be beside myself with anxiety at some very little things because of this, but big things I tend to just take in my stride 🤔
Give your skin time to relax, and don’t rush into into another surgery (just yet) Cosmetic Surgeries can take at least a year to show the actual results and as you said, the removal/covering of the eyebrow tattoo will make a huge difference. On camera you can see the natural eyebrow hair is sitting close to pretty much perfect, and that is before the swelling has gone down and the skin relaxes. Then if your still not happy with it why not 🤷♀️
I’m not an idiot, I know :). I CANT rush into another surgery - this has all been through insurance and thus would require waitlists for months. That said, scar removal isn’t a regular cosmetic surgery in that it won’t actually take a year for the results to show - they removed an inch of skin. Doctor said it’ll change a little, but not much.
You remained calm during surgeries and pain, the audacity Alanah! As someone who isn't a professional yes it noticeable but it isn't bad. It just looks like you are constantly intrigued by whatever is going on. Hopefully when you go back into real life character creator they can even it out. Best of luck.
I was really focused listening to you talk until I heard your boy woof at 8:21 and I almost had a heart attack, sounded like it was right next to me hahah, like those videos where you hear knocking on one side😅 You look great Alanah🤨 do whatever makes you feel better but before going into another surgery right away maybe try to wait until it heals a little more so you can see how you will actually look. Gooluck!
Regardless of what route you take going forward, it's definitely a good idea to wait a bit and let your face heal and rest. Ideally, you might be pleasantly surprised with how different you'll look once your face has healed more. Regardless, I hope you find a path forward that makes you happy (or at the very least, content) with the way you look.
I have to wait to be clear - you can’t just walk into a surgeon’s office and demand same day surgery. You have to wait months. Sorry I wasn’t clearer about that, I just assumed everyone knew! That said, they removed an inch of skin from my face, it won’t settle in a natural looking way ever. I’d likely have to wear permanent makeup for the rest of my life.
@@AlanahIRL Oh, I figured you'd have to wait on the surgery. I was mostly saying that it's good to wait in reference to you talking about getting your eyebrow tattoos removed/adjusted. I definitely could have been clearer about that, myself. That is a good point about how much skin was removed, though. Still, I hope you get to a place where you're happy with the results, regardless of how you got there.
bro that woof at 8:27 scared the shit out of me D: At least you have options though, removing the tattoo, eyebrow lift or leaving it for the lolz. IMO you'll look great still whatever you choose.
I can relate.. Back in 2015 I got a bacterial infection in my heart! It destroyed my mitrall valve and gave me an aneurysm in my right arm . I had 2 surgeries and spent 23 days in ICU at USC hospital. I had open heart surgery on January 12th, 2016 and my arm surgery was Jan 6th. If I didn't get the surgery, I wouldn't died. I lost 55 pounds I was so sick! It's been almost 8 years now and I'm still kicking at age 52! Glad to be alive! Many blessings to you! ❤
I personally wouldn’t get the brow lift, I worry you’d get into this loop of plastic surgery where the results might not be satisfactory and they have to keep fixing it.
Idk, I effectively (accidentally) had a brow lift. Getting an equal surgery on the other side seems like an exception to the ‘oh no you’ll get addicted!’ rule
I'd do everything I can to avoid getting stuck in a plastic surgery loop. It seems it can turn into an addiction where you're never satisfied and always finding something to "fix". Plus you open yourself up to another staph infection each time you get cut open.
My 2 cents: Accept the way it is. Do not continue to alter things. You may go down a rabbit hole you'll never come back from. Is there any picture of the previous original scar? Can't imagine that it was THAT bad to justify a surgery.
LOl thanks for the video Alanah, you look amazing. I was severely burned as a toddler and have had 60 plastic/reconstructive surgeries. Trust me lots of pros and cons to surgeries so no matter what you decide you're going to be fine, and again you look amazing and are the best!
This video is a prime display of a beautiful person being beautiful (clearly with great personality, undisputed kind heart, and I would be surprised to find anyone of quality finding your appearance anything but appealing). When a good portion of us would lament drastically at such a physical change, you instead find humor (heck a hole could cave-in from your ceiling, and wonderful people like you would just laugh it off while repairing it). What an aspiration to add that resiliency to our personality traits. Don't know who edits your videos (probably you), but Banjo squeaking a toy while you spoke was just life lol This is a video of a beautiful person being beautiful.
I blew snot out of my nose when you said you were impersonating the Rock to your mom. You're great, do you and your community will support you. Glad you take this all so well.
You look wonderful Alanah, whatever you do I'm sure everyone will continue supporting you, it will just take time and eventually everyone will adapt to the new you.
I was waiting so long for any confirmation on "The Mask 2: Starring Jim Carrey" reprising his role. Now I can sleep easy knowing Alanah will take his place, gracefully
This could level out more than you expect. I don't mean it'll fully self-correct, but for whatever my opinion is worth I highly recommend you give this more than just two or three weeks before making an irreversible decision. I worry if you do the lift too soon the surgeon might overcompensate. This is also the perfect month to be Two-Face if it doesn't level out at all by the 31st. I just very recently had to accept that I can't have my left nasal pathway corrected to help me breathe. The doctor told me after much examination that the risk of a collapse with this surgery was just far too high, and I trust her judgement completely. I'll probably be wearing nasal strips / dilators for life, but at least I won't be living with the consequences of a regrettable decision caving my face in.
@@AlanahIRL Oh totally! No I didn't think you were at all unclear, but even three weeks seemed rather quick to me. I'm someone who's usually afraid to take leaps so I'd probably put up with a wonky brow for at least twice that period. But I know you know what you're doing, you know all the risks and it's not my place to say much more. Best of luck friend!
I'll be so honest, I did not realise the change until you literally pointed it out lmao, also love Banjo squeaking his toys as loud as possible while you're trying to be serious
Going for the Rock look for Halloween. Thumbs up from me. Personally I think the eyebrow shift looks Awesome, I am going to take a bold stance and say keep it. Maybe it's just me ,but the fact that it is not perfect is why I think its great and makes you all the more special. At the end of the day it is your face, your body so do whatever makes you the most happy. We all have a right to feel comfortable in our skin.
you just look VERY thoughtful and pondering, nothing with with that😌 its nice to have a sense of humor ab stuff like this, i need to have a little more humor ab things like this in my life. hope the healing process goes well 💜
From watching other people's recovery after plastic surgery, the swelling really is a major altering factor so there is a very real possibility that you'll be much happier in six months. I think you have a great attitude about the whole thing.
So a few things. 1. I'm just extremely happy you were able to beat the staph infection and it didnt spread or get worse. The world is a much better place with you in it. 2. I have always been self extremely self conscious about my face. It's not a bad face, but it's not symmetrical. My left eye isn't as open as my right, and when i smile the left half doesn't open nearly as much as the right. Hearing someone so lovely and genuine speak about it in a neutral way was super helpful to hear. Normally i hear people complaining about it, or way over correcting and being too cheerful and positive. I just appreciate your "this is what it is" way of speaking on it. For the first time I didnt feel like whatever is going on with my face was the end of the world.
Post staph infection, post scar removal, face swollen, one eyebrow reaching for the heavens, like no make up, and probably tired and fatigued af, and somehow u still look so good. Hope everything works out and you get ur face back the way u like.
Sorry to hear that your surgery went poorly Alana. I empathise with how much a change to your face can bother you. In the last 5 months I have lost 35 lbs and then two weeks ago I cut my hair and beard short. At the moment, I feel like I’m looking at a totally different person in the mirror. And that does take a toll on your mental health. Fingers crossed everything pans out surgery wise.
Woman you are incredibly resilient. Truly. And i can’t think anything other than you are truly amazing for staying so strong with all the things you’ve endured… the migraines, the infection, now this. You are nothing short of incredible
Honestly, just don't do anything for a year, let the swelling go down, and see how you feel then. You look great as it is, and honestly, a scar? That is hot as shit. Nice to see you remain calm despite of it, though, because I can't even imagine what I would feel at that point.
I love how laid back you are about everything. If you can't laugh at your own misfortune then you're doing life wrong. What will be will be. #IfYaSmell
Damn I’m so sorry that has happened to you. That is one the most frustrating experiences ever. I had a nose surgery that really messed me up. It left me feeling depressed the way I look and the guilt of spending a lot of money for nothing. So depressing and left me crying. Miss my unique nose.
I think it is awesome, that you decided to be open about this unusual experience. Thanks for sharing, this. Even my own resolve, was invigorated! 🤩I had to lol at your pup! I still can't figure out the breed!! Also, I thought that whole bit about The Rock was funny. Your resilience is impressive!!! You go girl! And welcome to the stitches club!! NOW U ONE OF US!!! ONE OF US! ONE OF US! ONE OF US!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I feel your pain; I recently got a septoplasty as a medical procedure because I've never been able to breathe through my nose, but it also has slightly changed the look of my face and one nostril is now noticeably bigger than the other. I could opt for another surgery to even it out, but I really don't want to get another nose surgery because the recovery really sucks. I hope you figure out what's best for you. Thanks for the updates, I find them very cool and relatable, even with more distressing ones like this.
Aw its unusual for septoplasty to change any outside appearance. I was hoping that mines would straighten my nose a bit but that didn't happen 😅. Hopefully it isn't too bad, it'll be more noticeable to you.
You don't look insane. If it makes you feel better go for it, but honestly you're still very pretty and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with you.
Then it must be worse in person. People close to me are reacting very strongly lol. My friend who’s a dermatologist said I should sue for them letting me walk out like this.
@@AlanahIRL I mean, unfortunately IT IS pretty evident even in video. And your dermatologist friend is 100% right: this is awful medical malpractice, you should sue them and never step into that studio again, if nothing else for your own safety. Incompetent and dishonest surgeon, really.
You can't expect sympathy and politeness on the internet some people will be respect all others will be brutally honest. This is why I only share personal things with people i trust and care about their opinion
That really sucks! I'm glad you're sharing though, it's an important discussion! If this helps at all, I didn't notice that one eyebrow was higher than the other until you pointed it out. I can definitely see why you regret it, but you're gorgeous!
NGL Alanah, I couldn't even tell anything was different until you pointed it out. Not trying to simp or anything but I think you look great and most real men wouldn't ever say a thing about it. :)
@@halozidia Good point. I guess what I meant was, it is not all that noticeable is all. And even if it was in plain sight, most people would not comment on it or bring it to her attention. Especially if she shares what happened. I meant no harm with my comment. :(
bro honestly if you get the brow tattoo altered or removed and the swelling goes down, I really don't think you would need a brow lift. i think the difference would be minor, if that, and you might not even notice it. you have a great disposition about these things, its quite admirable. thanks for the update and here's to you healing fully and quick and not needing a brow lift!
Still gorgeous tbh. I'm actually having some surgery on my face later this month. I'm both excited and also kinda just whatever about it. Might change as the day gets closer but ah well. That aside, I'm sure once the swelling goes down for you, you'll have a better idea of what you'll wanna do. I'm sure things will be alright
I appreciate for you you feel this way about what you look like personally I don't see any issues ... but when it comes to things like this we have to keep reality in perspective ... as you know things definitely could have resulted in much worse and you could be dealing with extensive or severe damadge ... thankfully that is not the case ... the drs did their job and now its time for you body to heal ... just don't allow personal perspective to exaggerate things for yourself and cause you to feel more negatively about something and in reality to others would be minimally noticeable or even at all ... be well and continue to take care of yourself
An evil piece of shit tick gave me lymes, which showed itself as bell's palsy. I relate to a lot of what you're going through and your attitude is extremely admirable. I went through my stages of goofing with it and mild existential dread you're referring to. Dogs definitely help the healing process.
Maybe you could try using face tape on the other side for a while just to see how it would look and feel? That might help you feel a little more comfortable day-to-day and just get used to having a "brow lift". Idk, something to look into maybe. It's a product that lots of professional makeup artists and models use to create a more lifted look. Glad to see you're taking it all in stride though!!
For what it's worth I'd have given a third of my life to look like you pre surgery and would give a third of my life to look like you post surgery. I get Dysmorphia is awful but I'm sure you'll get through this. You're a star.
The positional audio on this video was so good. I heard the dog growl from the right behind me and it made me look behind me, then rewind the video to hear if i heard it correctly, which i did.
Pro tip: get a second opinion before any operation. Doctors weirdly rush you into things you probably shouldn't do. Its sad but doctors only care about money.
I hadn't seen your original video about what happend to you, and it took me until you basically pointed it out to notice your raised eyebrow. Hope you heal well!
For one second i forgot Banjo was there and when i heard him i jumped. Hope healing process goes well. Also i know lots of people have perfectly even eyebrows, but equally as many dont have even eyebrows. From my PoV they dont really look THAT different. Looking forward to the update video in future :)
🤕 How long until the swelling has gone down fully and it's in a position where it won't move up or down anymore? that would be best to see how it all looks then before having anything else done. Sending good vibes!
🙁@@AlanahIRL It's very difficult when you take the advice of the doctor/surgeon and this happens and then you have to go back to them, you have lost trust in them! Is there an option for another doctor/surgeon for a second opinion (you would have thought about this already)? Sending positive vibes.
My husband is a physical therapist and recommended doing scar tissue mobilization on it and that can help it settle on your face. You can look up what people do with cesarean section scars and it's pretty similar! Best of luck!
Sorry that happened to you (really just the whole thing from staff infection to this). It’s an interesting point you make about cosmetic surgery feeling like an identity shift. I’ve never thought about getting cosmetic surgery, but I can totally see that dilemma now.
definitely understand the hesitancy to get something strictly cosmetic/plastic surgery. there are a few acne scars im thinking of getting rid of, and it’s wholly cosmetic, my acne/acne scars are no longer really debilitating, but im leaning towards getting it for my own mental health. when i look in the mirror, that’s one less thing i have to worry or stress out about. all that is to say - if it makes you feel better and more comfortable with yourself, brow lift would be totally worth it and isn’t vain or anything. you deserve to like how you look. regardless, glad that at the very least the whole staph infection saga is coming to a close!! i imagine that’s something you would prefer not to have to think about any more lol
Not that it's really pertinent but I do think getting your scar cut to stop it growing was smart. Speaking from experience, have a large abominable scar from surgery related to crohns, and as it was an emergency surgery, that required to be opened and closed 3 times, it was a bit of a mess, and well, it grew. The growing stretched the skin to the point it became susceptible to infections and I ended up with an abscess under the scar, which just made it all look like a crime scene. So yeah, I think you might call it cosmetic but I do really think you made the right choice, despite the eyebrow situation. It's much easier fix that than the alternative. And I love your attitude about it. Speedy recovery
I used to get staff infections every 6 months or so. All over my body. I changed to using cleansers rather than soap based shower gel and it has stopped now. Fingers crossed.
I've never seen your videos before this, I don't know why it was recommended. That said, you look fine. I was trying to figure out what surgery you got for a chunk of the video, then you noticed the eyebrow thing and I hadn't even noticed that either. If it's going to lower after the swelling anyway, you're fine. I legit didn't notice.

Couple of things I didn’t mention just because they seemed obvious to me but there are a lot of comments about:
1. I didn’t pay for it - it came from a medical procedure so the whole thing has been covered by insurance. The doctor didn’t encourage me to do it for cosmetic reasons, it was because you can have complications with scar tissue (especially like mine which was expanding) as you age.

(So don’t worry about me making rash decisions - I both wouldn’t and am literally unable to here, of course have to wait).
Yeah makes sense for sure. I was thinking definitely do it if you want to, just make sure to wait to see how it will end up looking so they can be matched up instead of matching what you look like now
Follow up question, as nobody seems to be asking, did you pay for it? Also you shouldn't rush into another surgery
If even the insurance company didn't consider it cosmetic surgery then I wouldn't either. They find any reason to reject coverage. It was to prevent future medical complications. Any cosmetic change is a side effect.

Alanah, how about the migraines? Are you still feeling them?
really curious about this! all of this started because of migraines right?
i recently saw a video she was on and she mentioned she hasn't had a migraine since.
Yeah that was sorta the reason for thsi whole saga right?

I would consider eyebrow tattoos as cosmetic surgery - like almost by definition thats what it is. Needles injecting cosmetic ink into your face as makeup.
There’s no surgery and it’s not permanent.

I agree, you should give it some time to heal and settle and see how it looks, talk to the surgeon and get advice.
Totally agree with you Blu!
Had work done 3 years ago that ruined my face completely. Been suicidal ever since. Would kill for a time machine
I’m so sorry :(
@@AlanahIRL Thanks. Just trying to survive. Haven't looked in a mirror for 3 years. Refuse to.
I would definitely wait awhile for it to settle before doing another surgery. It’s not that bad right now and i’m sure it will get better.
I think its worth seeing how you feel after the swelling goes down and the eyebrow tattoo is removed, it'll work out!
To be clear I have to wait regardless - you can’t just walk into a surgeon’s office and demand surgery :)
To be clear, I’d wait a year.
Listen to this advice Alanna.
Good advice
I had similar thoughts - letting it settle before doing anything would be wise.

So...I can only form words fully from one side of my mouth properly as well, and watching this I just realised I can only raise my eyebrow fully on the same side as well. Never made the link before, or heard of Bell's Palsey until now...thank you for making these videos, they really help people
I think thats pretty normal alongside faces being asymmetrical. Im the same, our faces just like our hands have a dominant side.
You may well have had minor Bell’s palsy! Doctors THINK I did but it’s not totally confirmed for me. I have trouble moving one side of my face.
@@AlanahIRL I've had Bell's twice now, and from what I understand it's usually a temporary condition caused by other infections. Usually.

I have a feeling trying to fix this will turn into a series... Looking forward to seeing the eyebrow tattoo removal!
At least you're laughing about it! 😊
Being anxious or freaked out will not solve problems - indeed, it might even make them worse.
So it's good that you are chill about this.
Absolutely, state-of-mind is a much larger factor in overcoming health issues than most people realise
@@AlanahIRL Being called a sociopath for being tough as hell is crazy.
I strongly envy your ability to be so chill with everything
I hope your surgery heals up well and everything goes good for you 🙏
The dog at 8:20 made me jump. It sounded like a demon was behind me. I'm watching this at 2am in the dark so that's not great.
I’ll never understand why a naturally beautiful woman would want to mess with their looks…
@@JONINXBOX it's not cosmetic you caveman 🤣
Gooluck!
That woof had my soul leaving my body for a sec
I also had the same reaction, thought someone or something was in a apartment in the middle of the night. Gave me a heart attack to!.
LOL, I love how chilled you are about this and are mostly just laughing it off.

The fact that you can laugh about this is incredible. You rock. Thanks for sharing.
This woman. Having been through it. Alanah Pearce is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on. I have no words that haven’t been used
Agreed
I'd do everything I can to avoid getting stuck in a plastic surgery loop. It seems it can turn into an addiction where you're never satisfied and always finding something to "fix". Plus you open yourself up to another staph infection each time you get cut open.
Lol youre chill attitude towards studf lile this is inspiring. Whatever you end up doing i hope it works out for ya. Youll look great either way

Don't rush it.

The positive attitude made me smile.
My 2 cents: Accept the way it is. Do not continue to alter things. You may go down a rabbit hole you'll never come back from.
Is there any picture of the previous original scar? Can't imagine that it was THAT bad to justify a surgery.
I showed it on streams, but yes it was bad enough that the doctor recommended it

I blew snot out of my nose when you said you were impersonating the Rock to your mom. You're great, do you and your community will support you. Glad you take this all so well.
I love your honesty, humor, and self-reflection about this.
I HAVE to wait more than 2-3 weeks of course, you can’t just walk into a doctor and ask for surgery on the same day. Sorry I didn’t make that clearer!
@@AlanahIRL Oh totally! No I didn't think you were at all unclear, but even three weeks seemed rather quick to me. I'm someone who's usually afraid to take leaps so I'd probably put up with a wonky brow for at least twice that period. From watching other people's recovery after plastic surgery, the swelling really is a major altering factor so there is a very real possibility that you'll be much happier in six months. I think you have a great attitude about the whole thing.
For what it's worth I hope you are doing better. You do look really chill and that is a good way to be.
Tyler1 has a competition now for world's greatest head dent.
Hopefully everything will calm down a bit and surgery won’t be necessary. Glad you’re on the mend.
Honestly, just don't do anything for a year, let the swelling go down, and see how you feel then.
You look great as it is, and honestly, a scar? That is hot as shit.

Maybe you could try using face tape on the other side for a while just to see how it would look and feel? Sorry that happened to you (really just the whole thing from staff infection to this). It’s an interesting point you make about cosmetic surgery feeling like an identity shift. I’ve never thought about getting cosmetic surgery, but I can totally see that dilemma now.
love the chill vid style
definitely understand the hesitancy to get something strictly cosmetic/plastic surgery. there are a few acne scars im thinking of getting rid of, and it’s wholly cosmetic, my acne/acne scars are no longer really debilitating, but im leaning towards getting it for my own mental health. when i look in the mirror, that’s one less thing i have to worry or stress out about. all that is to say - if it makes you feel better and more comfortable with yourself, brow lift would be totally worth it and isn’t vain or anything. you deserve to like how you look. regardless, glad that at the very least the whole staph infection saga is coming to a close!! i imagine that’s something you would prefer not to have to think about any more lol
Yeah I didn’t articulate this well. They were concerned about potential complications with the scar.
I used to get staff infections every 6 months or so. All over my body. I changed to using cleansers rather than soap based shower gel and it has stopped now. Fingers crossed.
That sucks, but the way you're handling it is pretty awesome.
