For me, it comes down to the warranty, service and finance rather than the construction quality because the top brands such as ATX (Europe), Rogue (USA), REP (USA) to name a few are 100% used in "commercial settings" It's warranted for multi-year commercial use. There are parts, labour and servicing available. Typically I'd expect business-friendly finance terms, fit out options etc. Take powerlifting gyms or CrossFit gyms they're not ordering life fitness commercial equipment.
first of all, a commercial equipment must be welded , at least the majority of the machine need to be welded, and then they need to have a lot of horns to loading plates. That leg press/hack squat for example cant be considered a commercial machine, in a commercial gym you need a machine for a single exercise , that can be heavy loaded and fast to set up.
In Europe that machine has been tested and certified as commercial. European gyms are different to the US. They have smaller gyms because it would be hard to open big box style ones in European cities because space is scarce. We are seeing this trend in Australia. Yes we have the big box gyms. But there are a lot of smaller gyms opening up. Space is at a premium so they need multiple use machines. You can do this is in smaller gyms as the members tend to look after the equipment better. FYI I would never recommend putting this in a 24/7 big box gym. However I have several big box gym owners say that this machine could be put in if set exclusively as hack squat or leg press. They were very impressed with the build quality.
@@strictlyaesthetic9202 What is wrong? What is misleading? You said you used to sell equipment. How long ago? A lot of stuff has changed, in particular manufacturing technology. Plus new "high end" commercial equipment is designed to fail. They won't tell you that, but they don't want you hanging on to equipment forever. They make no money that way. Same with everything we buy - cars, electronics etc

Commercial =It can be used 24 hours a day every day and night and will last for 30 years+when worn out, you can easily replace the parts that wear out this is real Commercial
@@samsfitnessgymequipmentaust Lmao yeah, correct me if I'm wrong but these days commercial gym equipment has a usable lifespan to a business essentially as long as the finance term The big franchise gyms would refresh their equipment quite frequently. The equipment at many of the old gyms I used to go to was made for them, thick steel welded together. No brand name as far as I could tell.
@@jlirving The main issue would be parts. The older the machine, generally the harder and more expensive it is to get parts. Plus the labor to make major repairs adds up.
Bro ..... As an individual that was a onetime seller of High End gym equipment, it is well known the only reason of classification of Commercial or Consumer home gym equipment was due to the WARRANTY.... A Consumer home piece of gym equipment would not be covered under warranty if placed in a commercial GYM. Stop misleading the public . PLEASE
