It’s definitely possible to have Reeves’s Batman be both. Early in his career Batman usually is more grounded before shit hits the fan with metas and supes. I would like to see Reeves’s Batman evolve into that.

It definitely was possible. Matt Reeves just has his eyes on keeping his batman verse realistic. And not to mention dcu batman will be the version to be fighting metas and etc

@@ApexShinobi30 What are the odds that they make The Batman trilogy in the DCU, but just an early timeline of it? Like after the Reeves’s grounded trilogy there’s a time jump into the main timeline, keeping Rob’s Batman to allow for a new fantastical trilogy with a new director? I know there’s reports that WB wanted them to be connected, Gunn and Reeves were trying to work something out but it just never happened. That’s one of the reasons why it was delayed. I think ultimately they came to the conclusion that Reeves will do a grounded trilogy that will end and Gunn will handle all fantastical enemies. I think that Reeves would have made fantastical villains slightly more grounded, but now due to the DCU is going to stay completely grounded like Nolan. That’s why I see it as such a shame. We already have a grounded Batman trilogy. That and the fact that the DCU Batman will already be on his 4th Robin, so we won’t see the development of 10+ years. The ideal plan is to start with a young Batman, and flesh out his Bat family and the Justice League over a huge number of movies. It’s a shame because what we’re getting is essentially the same as Nolan and Snyder, just at the same time. A young Batman whose story stops too early without expanding the story, and an old Batman who we don’t get to see the development of.

Why can’t they have one who is both. That’s the fucking point of the character

Idk probably takes away from "their vision" when using Batman in a realistic way.

Because directors are ashamed of the source material that's why.

Arkham Batman makes every live action version look weak.

Fr. The upcoming Dcu one will probably end up the closest to Arkham Batman lol

@@ApexShinobi30 I hope so I'm tired of Realistic Batman it's boring as hell. I have a hard time taking Nolan's Batman seriously. He's by far the weakest Batman of all time.
