Terra’s Story, Part 4:You Can Do It!

As Terra had learned previously, the real weight loss journey begins AFTER the bariatric surgery. This time she was ready.
Terra’s recollection of her journey can inspire even the most hesitant weight loss surgery candidates.
She says: “It was so much fun. I danced. I laughed. I had so much fun. I never thought I could have so much fun losing weight and eating healthy. Things I once thought were nasty was the best tasting food in the world!”
Terra looked forward to having doctor visits. She would miss work and say, “I’m going to see Dr. Abbas today!” They had the whole process planned out. A good roadmap makes any journey easier. After her visits to Dr. Abbas, they would create menus, talk about eating experiences, and the motivating energy enveloped Terra.
“It was like a child going to the circus,” she said. “Because it was like a whole new beginning. He gave me a whole new lease on life. I became a whole new individual.”
Terra has just one simple yet profound message for all of you: “I just want to tell anyone; they can do it!”
