That boat broke loose from the docks at Regatta Point during hurricane Milton and hit the old Tamiami Trail bridge, opened up the side of the boat and later sank.
This is what happens when owners no longer have the time or resources to really take care of their boat, and the boats will just disintegrate by itself. Dang. RV's do exactly the same thing. Thanks for the video repost though, that was neat!
Choey Lee is a fairly well built boat as long as moisture hasn't gotten into side decks. The hard enclosure on bridge almost looks original but if so they killed her lines with the reverse windshield. This boats fate would rely on how well the Detroits have been kept.
You literally couldn't pay me to take this boat. She is unfortunately a very deep money pit. I wouldn't be surprised if some delamination is going on with the hull. Too bad, she was such a beautiful lady.
Yes if just for personal use. Not a luxury item if your business model is to keep them rented out earning a living. Then you are expensing them for 51% or more business purpose. My 2 cents.

Wow thanks for the update
So the boat was sunk, Right? How's that all work with the ships title and such? Shouldn't that be stated as soon as some one ask about the vessel?
@ this video was taken before the hurricane but yeah, that’s a good question on the title

If you where able and planned on doing the vast majority of the work and the price was right , it would be a fun project to bring back to life!
the enclosed sunroom at the stern is the aft salon...hatteras does the same thing
I’ve been on that boat. Used to be in Maderia beach. Beautiful wood work
Cool yes these trawlers and MYs from china and Taiwan are beautiful inside.
A nice boat that deserves to be saved. The question is whether it's worth saving or find a similar boat that's in better shape.
There's been hull damage on the starboard side, you can see it @0:33.

😎
unfortunately, either this one, or a neighboring identical ship sank in milton
Someone here said it was this one.
Not bad for 36 years old . Just shows a lot of lack of maintenance and care .
How much?
It was listed at $300k but it’s no longer for sale.
No longer for sale? So the owner took it off the market, sold to someone else, or what?
@ this video was taken before the storm
@ I don’t know what happened to it. This is an older video that I reposted
Big money pit
Aren’t they all? It’s a luxury item for fun not an investment.

Nah bro, it's a hard pass
