    35:57 YIKES! He got caught bootlegging the show by Susan Silver lol but damn, must this be right when they were starting to play the still unreleased Dirt?! She was relentless yet diplomatic. Luckily the tape didn't get lost in the management's vault. Till this day there are probably hundreds of tapes of live shows from crew members or complete TV footage that got legally quarantined by record label+Susan S+ Jerry C
    It's so weird seeing Layne sing Dirt and Rooster still with dreads and still in the beggining of 91.. They were already full blown songs with very little changes to the final versions. This was a treat!

    Layne is incredible but Cantrell is Alice in Chains. Jerry has never written a bad song. Their most recent album is great.

    • @bradcampbell7377
      @bradcampbell7377 3 года назад +2

      I mean AIC is still ok , I dont listen to any of it because Laynes voice to me was AIC. Layne wrote and was of much of the writing from Dirt on. Also his writing was amazing in Mad Season. Hell Layne singing anything is amazing even the cover he did with heart and the song with the second coming. Jerry is a great song writer and guitarist but to say he was AIC is definitely a bit much. It was literally all of them that made that AIC sound what it was. Duvall sounds meh to me. Layne is one of the greatest vocalists ever and one you can feel the passion in every word. One does not just listen to Layne you feel him.

      @@bradcampbell7377 Cantrell wrote the songs and the lyrics so he has point, but tbh this band is a 4 piece so everybody is important

    • @bradcampbell7377
      @bradcampbell7377 3 года назад +1

      @@OGGOAT23 he did write them all himself. From Dirt on Layne co wrote and wrote on his own. AIC was a great band because all 4 parts were great. Imo William is not and the band is missing that great front man. Hell there is a reason Jerry coveted Layne so heavily in the beginning because Jerry though he can sing is not an iconic voice and neither is William but Jerry knew Layne had it.

    • @bradcampbell7377
      @bradcampbell7377 3 года назад +2

      @@OGGOAT23 also look at how great Mad season was and Layne wrote there too. Imo Mad season had more great songs on one album which was made in days then AIC has since Layne died. Songs are still well written but again are missing that Layne effect at lead vocals.
