I have to admit TGV, as a viewer of your channel since the very first episode, I see now you have built a considerably strong channel. You mix wrist watches with art and culture and travel the perfect blend for the modern man.
How about the Bulova Super Seville Day Date, how about the Seiko 5 SNXJ89, what about the Rado Purple Horse? Two Swiss brands and another Seiko. Hard to beat, and considerably less expensive than the Tudor.
am I the only one that thinks the rolex looks better in its original bracelet, the nato strap kinda makes it looks not as 'classy'. I find that with most watches actually although I like the idea of being able to change the straps, I like it with the strap it comes with makes it look untouched.
Hey TGV, im a canadian living in Ecuador for the past 5 years, i loved watches since i was a kid, bought them and sold them, watching your channel since 4 months ago has RESURRECTED my passion for watches, to the extent of watching your videos over and over even a late hours of the night. I sold all my watches after watching your videos and started from CERO, bought the Golden Eye Combat sub, a TISSOT couturiere and an SKX007 (LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH), thank you for bringing this joy to horologie and building a community I now feel fondly a part of. Cheers.
my Dad's friend got a stainless steel Datejust when I was about 14. It was the 1st Rolex I ever saw....glorious. I saw that watch on his wrist over the years at Weddings, BBQs down the pub. He still wears daily it now over 25 years later. Thats got to be a good thing. Good find on the paratrooper belt......very cool
As an engineer, the differences in 904L (rolex) And 316L (standard) for a watch are going to be negligible at best. The 904L has some slightly different properties, such as its corrosion resistance, but for a watch wearer, this is negligible, even if you dive frequently. The 904L is actually much softer, and therefor easier to scratch, but subsequently easier to buff and polish as well. I would think the reason to use 904L for rolex is simply to be different and standout. "Everyone uses 316, so lets use 904!". 904L has a cost modifier of 2.14 compared to 316L, and that is MAINLY due to the amount of it made, not its material selection. Mechanically speaking, they are too similar to say one is "better" than the other. A better word to describe it would be "exclusive".
In regards to cost effectiveness, super duplex stainless steel is superior to 904L in every conceivable way, AND is much stronger to prevent scratching so easily. Its also dirt cheap, and common. Another nod to the "why" rolex continues to use 904L.
valebliz Im assuming english isn't your primary language, so I'll interpret as best as I can. I am using engineering terms in a specific way, and I'll explain them if I need to. Damascus steel is a brilliant combination of steels with different properties. The combination gives it strength without the need to sacrifice toughness (strength and toughness are material terms). As a metal gets harder, it loses ductility and loses toughness. This means the blade can be super strong, but it will chip or fracture with a sudden trauma. Damascus steel, and later on, "japanese steels" (tamahagane steel) blend steels for a function. A watch does not need that "function". Unfortunately, damascus type steels wouldn't be super useful to a watch. They don't polish well, and they simply wont last as long as a quality stainless steel. I think it would give a fantastic look, but the function of a watch doesn't call for damascus steel.
Yes you are right, i'm from Italy. But i meant the steel Damasko, the watch manufacturer, produce when i wrote damasko steel. I know what damascus steel is :), but Damasko here is the surname of the company owner. They produce watches made of a particular nichel free ice hardened stainless steel, check them out.
Hi TGV, I've been a viewer of your channel since your first show. I am super happy for you that you have built something so quality that you can now do it full time. Awesome work! Love you channel and really enjoy watching you.
i wore one for 10+ years and agree completely, ss dj, sticks on silver face. the thing to me that made it so universal were three things, 1- the rolex name of course, 2- the simplicity, 3- more importantly, the all silver color (face and bracelet) and ss as a material go with everything, both color and formal wise. silver color goes with blue, black, brown, you name it. also ss is both "dressy" to an extent and casual middle of the road. neither the color nor the material put a peg in the ground, so to speak, versus a black or brown leather band, rubber, nato, etc. which to an extent does. considering DJII as a kind or rebuy grail, just not doing the universal thing right now so not sure.
I DONT KNOW IF YOU UNDERSTSND WHAT I MEAN BUT, AFTER WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS I FEEL SO FRESH AND SATISFIED , ITS LIKE I MADE A PERFECT DEAL AND GOT THE THING I WANTED.
Loved the show. It had something for everyone. The Datejust is probably the only Rolex i ever coveted. My father owned a two tone back in the day so i always wore his around the house when i was a kid, no surprise then that i eventually bought one myself lol. You simply can't go wrong with Lacoste. It's my go to brand when dressing down in the summer, but make no mistake their goods are top quality.
Great video! I'm pleased to see "made in USA" on the New Balance. Only issue I have is the accuracy of the Seiko 6R15 movement. My (anecdotal) experience with that movement is that out of the box it's a + 2-4 seconds a day or better. That's based on my SARB035, SARB017 and Sumo. By contrast my Oris TT1 633-7541 was - 1 min per day before regulation and my Squale 1521 was + 40 seconds. Also the winding feel on the 6R15 is very smooth and light compared to the 2824-2. I've read that hand winding the 2824 causes more wear on it than winding the 6R15 because the entire mechanism including the rotor is moved but with the 6R15 hand winding only winds the spring. Is that true?
Great video as always TGV. Loved your pics for date just alternatives. And great gag with the thumbnail shot's, real crackup. Keep up the good work. Josh.
Hi TGV - Enjoyed the video with the Datejust alternatives.I don't think I could offer any other options. You are spot on. You hit home with Lacoste and New Balance. My parents had me in Lacoste as a toddler and I've always had to have that little alligator in my life ever since. I love the shirts. New Balance has been my choice of athletic shoes for years. Nice to hear your thumbs up for them as well. Look forward to your next video! Cheers!
Entertaining, Tristano. A great video. I love your Tudor Day-date and you discovered to me the value of the SARB some time ago. On the other hand, Pima cotton is a marvellous pleasure and I didn't know that your cargos were from Levi's. Thanks for sharing. Well done!. Have a nice weekend!. Buonasera, buenas noches, good night.
Great video Tristano. I am a big Lacoste fan myself and have quite a few of their polos. Can't argue with you about the Rolex Datejust . I recently treated myself to a new Datejust 41 with white dial. It was an expensive purchase but their watches last a lifetime. So now I have an older Submariner and the Datejust and I would say these are two of one the best models in the Rolex lineup. Of course, most of the models are excellent.
Good work TGV! If you want to go super-affordable (and inevitably quartz as well), the Seiko SGF206 (gold tone) and SGF204(two-tone) are great value for money at just about $200. For a bit more, I found an automatic Orient Day-date homage (2EV03000G).
Haven't checked out one of your videos for a while, TGV (exam period and all). Can I just say the the quality of your content is not only as good as always, but better! have a good one TGV.
TGV you have a very clear view that helps make desitions on buying or trading watches. The Date just is my favorite 16030 and I consider it a real good option. 100% ss means not having to pay for the most expensive gold in the world. Thank you for the pasion you share in your videos. Pedro :) life is good!! Thank God!!
Thanks TGV for another quality production.I have spent the last month or so looking for an alternative to my date just and constellation. They have both been great and I love owning them but the problem I have is that I can no longer see them without glasses. The Rolex is the hardest to see because it has the silver texture dial. With 2 children about to go to university I don,t want to lash out on an explorer 1 which I have found to be very easy to read. The Seiko you featured seems like a great alternative or I have always liked the 009.Best wishes for continued success.
I love these affordable alternatives coming from a students perspective. I would also love to see affordable alternatives of watches such as Tag Heuer Monaco (racing watches) and maybe patek calatrava and cartier tank (dress watches)
New Balance is the best when it comes to running/casuals. I know this from 20 years of experience; ditto for my brother, who's a Navy pilot & long-distance bicyclist.
TGV my friend you have always had good taste in clothes, especially the Lacoste ones. It's always a joy to watch when you talk about the great brand Lacoste. Please do more clothing reviews. Best regards, Darko
Ball Fireman Series - the victory, classic, and glory are all great Datejust alternatives but very much their own thing. Also in the Ball Engineer II collection the Marvelight and Ohio are excellent alternatives if one doesn't mind the 40mm case.
The shorts look nice but the fabric looks a bit thick and heavy for hot days. Personally I prefer lightweight synthetic fabric. Check out Columbia Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts - they are super comfy and easy care for hot climates.
Tristano your absolutly right about the locaste shirts there of absoulute brilliance and great quality i hope you enjoy them as much as i do. Keep up the great work.
Hi sir, I personally own a Tissot pr100 with a powermatic 80 movement. I think it's a great great watch, swiss quality and for less than a tudor. It has the date complication and this "oyster" look case. What do you think about it ?
Hello there. Greetings from Medellín, Colombia. I came across your videos and I really like 'em. I have a question, do you recommend getting a used Rolex without the original papers? And lastly, you did great with the USA made sneakers, cause most of the Adidas shoes are made in China and you can't compare USA vs China. You have a wonderful weekend
It's such a delight to see a stylish chap such as yourself buying cargo shorts. And in camo patterns to boot! All of the channels that devote their content towards men's style, talk trash about cargo pants. While they provide excellent info most of the time, they can be stuffed shirts when it comes to stylish casual wear. I think those shorts look fine, as long as you don't over stuff the pockets. N.Y. City becomes a tropic during the summer. Staying cool is a must here!
Lacoste is a quality brand but I wouldn't mess you ebay.. lots of counterfeits , must be one of the more counterfeited brands. About the New balance, errrr I don't know why but I don't like them. Everybody has new balance nowadays so I tend to avoid them even if they look comfortable. Levi's you cant't go wrong. Keep posting more ideas, this adds so much to the channel, really enjoying it. Ps: It's funny when you say "thanks for watching" at the end.
Luckily I only buy from trusted sellers and you really tell, especially if you are something of a connoisseur of the brand. As for the NB, again I don't really care what other people like or is popular, I buy them because they last and do such a good job compared the the Nike and Adidas I had before. Certainly right about Levis! Thank you my friend, great comment, Best regards, TGV
hello I purchased a new watch first one in years you inspired me. What sort of shorts should I were with my white cocktail jacket in the summer? also what watch band color Should I wear at a casual Garden parity?
That makes my day to hear that! As for shorts, don't wear cargo with them, something like some navy or blue plain boat shorts and suede loafer and a nice perlon strap for that summer vibe on the watch strap. Thank you, Best regards, TGV
I love New Balance as well. I have the all black cross fits that are amazingly versatile for what amounts to a sneaker (or trainer, if you like)! I simply must get a SARB-I was not aware that they are 100 meter WR. Great video! Best-David
Cool Video TGV!! If we get a summer in England, I'll be rocking the Lacoste!! Personally I love the Slip on Lacoste you were wearing!! Been looking at some for myself funny enough!! As for the Sarb 033...ABSOLUTELY!! Keep up the good work Sir! BMJ ENGLAND.. 🌅
Love my Adidas high tops! Probably what people recognize most about my style besides the watches! Do you shop at discount stores like Ross? Never find anything you like but when you do, it's cheap! Never wanted a date just styled watch but it's growing on me! Great video TGV!
The Alpinist models are about as stylish and a bit tougher, so those should not be forgotten. But yeah, for an all-rounder Seiko is hard to beat. Rolex builds all-rounders, but makes them so expensive, that most owners treat them as valuables.
It's a bit too big in my opinion and maybe more on the dress side, but could the Tissot Visodate be considered as an alternative? I know your list of upcoming videos is already very long, but as I like vintage seikos from 60's and 70's, I would love to hear you one day about it, for example seikomatic, sportsmatic, bellmatic, chronos 6138 and 6139 and Grand Seikos. Thank you for your channel, it's better and better everyday.
Love my Sarb, but I have a question when you wind up the sarb and put down, and not wear it should it stop the next day. I've heard different things about automatics.
Thank you Diane, I always wind it up, give it a good 30 turns (forward) and it should be good for a few days. I should do a video on it, but its my belief to keep it with a nice bit of power in it's reserve. Best regards, TGV
Nice review TGV, I like your Lacoste slip on shoes and was wondering where to purchase them. Currently I wear the Skechers brand of slip ons and absolutely adore them. Thanks and keep up the great work, love the channel.
Very nice intro this time round - the softer colour-grading and more contemporary music work really well for a summery vibe. Slightly odd seeing your shoe choice (trainers) - I would have guessed that you'd be more into leather slip-ons (driving moccasins or similar). Especially seeing as leather tends to last longer than trainer-fabrics...
I was so sure you were going to put the 'Hoffman' on a nato :)) love the weird faces, I was just laughing my head off some memes on the Facebook group. PS time to browse for some Lacoste shirts! Nice one Tristano.
Just a comment: You don't strike me as an overpronator by the looks of your old shoes heel wear pattern. However, those New Balance look they have a ton of support.
Another great video TGV. I love the datejust models but the became to expensive. I only think you forgot one watch. It is the new Tudor Glamour Day Date, ref: 56000. You can buy it new (2016 model) for around €2000, sometimes even less. I think that is the best alternative if you want a datejust but can only spend 2000 € or $. You dont think so? You know this watch?
WOW 2k for the glamour, thats not bad at all!!! Love that model, I got to see one in Harrods at the beginning of the year. LOVE them, very tastefully done, excellent choice my friend. Best regards, TGV
Yep, On chrono24 its around 2k. It would be nice if you can review it an compare it with the old prince day-date. Maybe an idea? It is 39mm so good for small wrists like yours and like mine haha.
+The Urban Gentry Hi,thanks for replying. The link worked fine but unfortunately item was sold out. I managed to source one through EBay in Germany which set me back the princely sum of £13 delivered to the UK some I'm very happy!! Keep up the good work mate.
Loved this video! Catching up after a while! The Tudor alternatives to the date just are great. Great value indeed and very classy. Was that a Pepsi at the beginning?
Hey Gov random suggestion but you should invest in some Polo Ralph Lauren socks, after trying out their socks I have never looked back, no fading, doesnt stretch and last forever, and i agree Lacoste does last forever and throughout multiple washes it remains as my softest shirts until today
I'm glad you mentioned the Seiko Brightz. I was thinking they'd be a great low cost version. Another to consider would be the Citizen Signature Grand Classic models. Ciao, John
Thanks for video a lot of my friends wants only 1 watches and does't want spent too much money for them. This really helps me. What do you recommend as affordable alternatives to Rolex GMT Master / Explorer 2 Thanks
The Seiko SARB series, to me, is the watch world's best bang-for-buck. As for trainers, I own six pairs of New Balance--four of the made-in-USA model 498, which has been regrettably discontinued.
Top video again T, I do love those Lacoste shirts, I'll check out the site, your Tudor should be on a TGV strap, would really suit the deep blue, I have just ordered my TGV - V2 strap looking forward to receiving it, keep it up mate, cheers.
TGV, love the 38mm Tudor Jumbo day/date. Oyster case and two tone to Boot! Got a nice deal and purchased a two tone Rolex jubilee bracelet after the purchase on eBay!! 👍👍🍷
YES!!! Absolute great choice. Strangely a very contemporary size, congrats on the purchase, you will do well, enjoy it! Thank you James, Best regards, TGV
When looking through your loot, I love the NB 997s and have had a few. Recently, I've been trying the Asics GT2000 but think the 997s are better. I'm wondering, have you ever tried Uniqlo t-shirts? When they're on sale, they're in the $10 - 12 price range and I love the feel. I'm still wearing some I got in Tokyo back in 2010. They've held up extremely well, and as shirts go downhill, they evolve to my workout shirts. Keep up the great work! Please stop showing me your Day-Date LoL
krbcrwlr I don't run that much but even with stock insoles, they're both incredibly comfortable and I haven't had an issue with blisters. Even better with custom insoles. I know some heavy duty runners that love both the NB 997s and Asics GT2000. As with a lot of shoes, it really depends upon your running style, and shape of your foot.
Hey man! I have decided to go and buy a Tag Heur Carrera Calibre 5, for me personally it ticks all the boxes. From its history to style, I love it. But why is your opinion? I ask because I know at that price most people would save that little extra for a Rolex or Omega. Great Vids Keep It Up!
Nice! I actually think its a really nice design, I love TAG, I review a few not so long ago and remember being impressed. Enjoy it! Thank you, Best regards, TGV
my main clothing brand is pretty green. always with adidas trainers. great alternatives to the datejust. I personally own the tudor day date. its just fantastic value. awesome review as always👍👍👍
Really enjoyed your summer haul. I like when someone has a brand they stick to and it becomes kind of a signature for them. I know it's a different product, but I always wonder why someone would own several bottles of cologne. Isn't it more economical and cool to be known by one signature thing? So long as it's versatile enough. Have a great weekend dude! tDS
Thank you tDS! Very true, I guess its a strange kind of loyalty and part of my identity, very good point. What is really crazy is when I see other people wearing Lacoste, it somehow annoys me, LOL crazy right?!?!? Best regards, TGV
+The Urban Gentry Haha I totally sympathize with that feeling. I think style can be sort of territorial in a way. I know when I take the time to research, buy and wear something I always know chapter and verse about it. Then when/if I see someone else with it I always wonder if they put the same research into it or if they just think it looks cool. I think we all want to feel unique and special and there is a momentary doubt when we see others in the wild identifying with the same things. Have a good week bud! tDS
At first I was thinking that when I got a SARB (and I will get a SARB) it would be the 033 with the black dial, but lately I've been looking more at the 035 with the cream dial. Something about it reminds me more of the Datejust.
I urge you to consider an 017, if you're open to other members of the SARB family - I'm currently wearing mine, and it is the most loved piece in my collection, which also includes a 033. (But I love green in general, so I'm a little biased)
James Godfrey The only reason I didn't mention that one is because I am absolutely going to get one in the future. I was considering the 033 and the 035 for a dress watch.
Great video! I'm looking for cheaper alternatives of date just models, so very nice! ;) I loved the Tudor 76214 (blue dial) that you present, very similar to the rolex day-date! I agree with you, regarding Newbalance, they last a decade!
I have to admit TGV, as a viewer of your channel since the very first episode, I see now you have built a considerably strong channel. You mix wrist watches with art and culture and travel the perfect blend for the modern man.
Thank you so much, very kind of you to say.

I could only wear the Dj on a jubilee. I know the oyster bracelet has its fans but i just believe the jubilee & Dj are the perfect marriage.
depend on the weather it's summer so I'd rather nato if I wear it out and bracelet/leather on more dress to impress.
I totally agree with you. He kills the classy look of most watches by putting them on nato strap

talk about stocks/investing please!
Agree. The artistic openings with Ernest and views across the river are beguiling. Love them.
Wow. I simply cannot stress enough how much I love this channel. I get so excited every time a new video pops up in my subscription box.
Thank you Ted, really makes my day to hear that.

Very kind of you to say, good luck my friend!
Best regards,
TGV
my boy got them j's !!!! just realised how nice some new balances look
Jordans? Did you even watch the video?
+johan eugen its a joke
TGV you have a very clear view that helps make desitions on buying or trading watches. The Date just is my favorite 16030 and I consider it a real good option. 100% ss means not having to pay for the most expensive gold in the world.
Thank you for the pasion you share in your videos.
Pedro
:) life is good!!
Thank you my friend, I certainly will do more of these! Great suggestions btw,
Best regards,
TGV
When did TGV purchase the Rolex Pepsi GMT? I couldn't find the unboxing video going through the archives
New Balance is the best when it comes to running/casuals. I know this from 20 years of experience; ditto for my brother, who's a Navy pilot & long-distance bicyclist.
Your watch faces just made my day!
LOL Thank you :D
Best regards,
TGV
TGV my friend you have always had good taste in clothes, especially the Lacoste ones. It's always a joy to watch when you talk about the great brand Lacoste. Please do more clothing reviews.
Best regards,
Darko
Thank you so much Darko!
Certainly will try to do more.
Best regards,
TGV
those NB are sick. love them. great video as always good sir. great video.
Thank you :D
Best regards,
TGV
Ball Fireman Series - the victory, classic, and glory are all great Datejust alternatives but very much their own thing. Also in the Ball Engineer II collection the Marvelight and Ohio are excellent alternatives if one doesn't mind the 40mm case.
YESSSSS!!! Spot on, great choices,
Thank you
Best regards,
TGV
The shorts look nice but the fabric looks a bit thick and heavy for hot days. Personally I prefer lightweight synthetic fabric. Check out Columbia Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts - they are super comfy and easy care for hot climates.
Tristano your absolutly right about the locaste shirts there of absoulute brilliance and great quality i hope you enjoy them as much as i do. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much, I STILL have several from my teens!
Best regards,
TGV
Hi sir,
I personally own a Tissot pr100 with a powermatic 80 movement. I think it's a great great watch, swiss quality and for less than a tudor. It has the date complication and this "oyster" look case. What do you think about it ?
The only thing that was missing on your channel : SNEAKERS !!! LOVE IT the 997 is a Classic silhouette from NB
So glad you approve my friend, Thank you :D
Best regards,
TGV
One good alternative to the Datejust is the Tag Heuer Carerra Calibre 5 you also have the day/date Plus the twin-time calibre 7.
Great choice,
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Hello there. Greetings from Medellín, Colombia. I came across your videos and I really like 'em. I have a question, do you recommend getting a used Rolex without the original papers? And lastly, you did great with the USA made sneakers, cause most of the Adidas shoes are made in China and you can't compare USA vs China. You have a wonderful weekend
I'm a big fan of Lacoste shirts, but you should give burberry t shirts a try. Very great episode TGV! 😁
Never have but maybe it is time I should!
Thank you Kevin, very kind
Best regards,
TGV
Thank you my friend, great comment,
Best regards,
TGV
hello I purchased a new watch first one in years you inspired me.
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
So much quality in these videos and the stuff shown in them :)
Thank you so much, very kind.
Best regards,
TGV
13:02 whats this strap? Looks like really nice kevlar style strap, where could I buy this kind of strap?
TGV you are the best, keep the good work coming!!
Thank you so much, very flattered.
Best regards,
TGV
Love the last shadow puppets song as an intro. Another great video TGV!
Thank you Zubair, what an amazing tune! Just had to!!! ;-)
Best regards,
TGV
Hi TGV, I love the Rolex 16710 ...have you ordered the jubilee bracelet yet ? I can't wait for that video!!!
Thank you Paul, still on the hunt. Stay tuned!
Best regards,
TGV
I love New Balance as well. I have the all black cross fits that are amazingly versatile for what amounts to a sneaker (or trainer, if you like)! I simply must get a SARB-I was not aware that they are 100 meter WR. Great video! Best-David
TGV, Great work as always. A few of us are wondering what strap that is on the SAR. Didn't see an answer yet, or a link. Thanks!
Its a Cordora that I review in a strap video last year, full details and links to buy are in that video ;-)
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Love the Seiko SARB033, but the Seiko SARG013 is also a JDM
that you may want to consider....
Thank you Joseph, will do!
Best regards,
TGV
How big are your wrists? (I just want to compare them to mine, which is 16cm/6.3inch)
YAY!!! Thank you Benjamin,, just love slip ons in summer, just easy and comfy.
Best regards,
TGV
Love my Adidas high tops! Probably what people recognize most about my style besides the watches! Do you shop at discount stores like Ross? Never find anything you like but when you do, it's cheap! Never wanted a date just styled watch but it's growing on me! Great video TGV!
Thank you Shawn, hi-tops! Cool, I even had a pari waaaay back in the day ;-)
Best regards,
TGV
Maybe, but I feel its styling is just so particular, very cool watch. Good choice btw,
Cant beat vintage Seiko watches.
Best regards,
TGV
Love my Sarb, but I have a question when you wind up the sarb and put down, and not wear it should it stop the next day. I've heard different things about automatics.
Thank you Diane, I always wind it up, give it a good 30 turns (forward) and it should be good for a few days.
I should do a video on it, but its my belief to keep it with a nice bit of power in it's reserve.
Best regards,
TGV
Although I love my rolex milgauss. The Rolex GMT is my favorite and the ultimate sports watch.
Nice review TGV, I like your Lacoste slip on shoes and was wondering where to purchase them. Currently I wear the Skechers brand of slip ons and absolutely adore them. Thanks and keep up the great work, love the channel.
Thank you, I actually reviewed them in last year "summer haul" video, you can find them on eBay for VERY cheap.
Best regards,
TGV
Very nice intro this time round - the softer colour-grading and more contemporary music work really well for a summery vibe.
Slightly odd seeing your shoe choice (trainers) - I would have guessed that you'd be more into leather slip-ons (driving moccasins or similar). Especially seeing as leather tends to last longer than trainer-fabrics...
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
do you consider the squale pan am a good alternative to the hoffman, its more within my budget.
I was so sure you were going to put the 'Hoffman' on a nato :)) love the weird faces, I was just laughing my head off some memes on the Facebook group. PS time to browse for some Lacoste shirts! Nice one Tristano.
LOL, Thank you Claudio,
Best regards,
TGV
Just a comment: You don't strike me as an overpronator by the looks of your old shoes heel wear pattern. However, those New Balance look they have a ton of support.
Nice video TGV, love your Lacoste shoes.
Thank you Carlos,
Best regards,
TGV
Another great update! Do you think you'll ever review wrist candy watch club's combo straps?
Thank you, already did! ;-)
Best regards,
TGV
Oh I'll have to check it out, thanks!
Another relatively affordable jogging shoes that I highly recommend is asics absolute class and quality try them for around $50 cant go wrong.
Cool! Never tried them. I will have to try them!
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Another great video TGV. I love the datejust models but the became to expensive.
I only think you forgot one watch. It is the new Tudor Glamour Day Date, ref: 56000. You can buy it new (2016 model) for around €2000, sometimes even less.
I think that is the best alternative if you want a datejust but can only spend 2000 € or $.
You dont think so? You know this watch?
WOW 2k for the glamour, thats not bad at all!!! Love that model, I got to see one in Harrods at the beginning of the year.
LOVE them, very tastefully done, excellent choice my friend.
Best regards,
TGV
Yep, On chrono24 its around 2k. It would be nice if you can review it an compare it with the old prince day-date. Maybe an idea?
It is 39mm so good for small wrists like yours and like mine haha.
Of course you post this the day after I put in a deposit for my vintage Rolex Datejust 16014!
Sorry :-/
You cant go wrong with a 16014, honestly, enjoy it!!!
Thank you
Best regards,
TGV
Hi,I I'm loving the belt but the only one I can find is located in Romania. Can I please ask where you purchased yours?
Did the link in the description not work?
Let me know,
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
+The Urban Gentry
Hi,thanks for replying.
Thank you Emkwan. The Pepsi at the beginning is a watch I recently purchased. WOW, you really don't watch my channel eh? LOL,
Best regards,
TGV
Hey Gov random suggestion but you should invest in some Polo Ralph Lauren socks, after trying out their socks I have never looked back, no fading, doesnt stretch and last forever, and i agree Lacoste does last forever and throughout multiple washes it remains as my softest shirts until today
Thank you, I must confess, I haven't tried, I might have to investigate! :D
Best regards,
TGV
I'm glad you mentioned the Seiko Brightz. I was thinking they'd be a great low cost version. Another to consider would be the Citizen Signature Grand Classic models. Ciao, John
The Brightz is amazing, had to mention it!
Great suggestion with the Signature, love them.
Thank you John,
Best regards,
TGV
Thanks for video a lot of my friends wants only 1 watches and does't want spent too much money for them. This really helps me.
What do you recommend as affordable alternatives to Rolex GMT Master / Explorer 2
Thanks
Thank you Martin,
Interesting choices, I will have to seriously think about them, maybe do another video,
Best regards,
TGV
Its will be really great if you do video about it.
Thanks
I agree with the New Balance. I bought myself a New Balance 1400. It's a great shoe brand
Indeed!
Thank you Fernando,
Best regards,
TGV
For a really affordable option, see the Seiko SNKL07.
The Seiko SARB series, to me, is the watch world's best bang-for-buck. As for trainers, I own six pairs of New Balance--four of the made-in-USA model 498, which has been regrettably discontinued.
TOTALLY AGREE ON THE SARB!!! Yay another NB fan!!!
Thank you my friend.
Best regards,
TGV
Orient day date is amazing and so affordable, what do you think ??
Maybe I'm a bit strange but putting the Pepsi on a nato takes some of the occasion out of it. I'd rather stick with the standard bracelet I think. ⌚🎩
Thank you, I already have a better version of that bracelet on my sub by so I am trying something different.
Best regards,
TGV
pulling it together on the tunes as well, last shadow puppets, great selection and awesome new album. miracle aligner and Dracula teeth are my faves.
Nice!!! Recently got into them after watch Peaky Blinders LOL,
Thank you Kyle,
Best regards,
TGV
Top video again T, I do love those Lacoste shirts, I'll check out the site, your Tudor should be on a TGV strap, would really suit the deep blue, I have just ordered my TGV - V2 strap looking forward to receiving it, keep it up mate, cheers.
Thank you Terry, YAY on the V2, enjoy it!
Best regards,
TGV
another great video you always get beautiful watches love your watches
Thank you my friend,
Best regards,
TGV
TGV, love the 38mm Tudor Jumbo day/date. Oyster case and two tone to Boot! Got a nice deal and purchased a two tone Rolex jubilee bracelet after the purchase on eBay!! 👍👍🍷
YES!!! Absolute great choice.
Strangely a very contemporary size, congrats on the purchase, you will do well, enjoy it!
Thank you James,
Best regards,
TGV
How about a Longines Conquest? I believe it's a screw down crown and the 39mm version is pretty versatile as well.
Funnily I was just talking to somebody about the Conquest, will certainly look into it,
Thank you Chris,
Best regards,
TGV
May I also suggest the Hamilton Jazzmaster Seaview. To me this watchs looks very good and its not to expensive for round about 850€
YESSSSS!!! Great choice, thank you, very tasteful.
Best regards,
TGV
Love the new intro TGV! Keep it up! :D
Thank you :D
Best regards,
TGV
When looking through your loot, I love the NB 997s and have had a few. Recently, I've been trying the Asics GT2000 but think the 997s are better.
I'm wondering, have you ever tried Uniqlo t-shirts? When they're on sale, they're in the $10 - 12 price range and I love the feel. I'm still wearing some I got in Tokyo back in 2010. They've held up extremely well, and as shirts go downhill, they evolve to my workout shirts.
Keep up the great work! Please stop showing me your Day-Date LoL
are they good for actual running? Like 25 miles a week?
krbcrwlr I don't run that much but even with stock insoles, they're both incredibly comfortable and I haven't had an issue with blisters. Even better with custom insoles.
I know some heavy duty runners that love both the NB 997s and Asics GT2000. As with a lot of shoes, it really depends upon your running style, and shape of your foot.
Hairs lookin good TGV, fresh from the shop summer cut.
InoxEdge yea that haircut and tan, he's looking great.
Great video. Ready for a full review of the PEPSI!!
I have a 36mm acqua which mimics the DJ.In addition it has Indiglo.
Enjoy it!
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
my main clothing brand is pretty green.
always with adidas trainers.
great alternatives to the datejust.
Best regards,
TGV
James Godfrey
The only reason I didn't mention that one is because I am absolutely going to get one in the future. I was considering the 033 and the 035 for a dress watch.
Great intro music. The Lacoste shirts are lovely and soft really good item
Thank you my friend!
Best regards,
TGV
So do you still plan on getting a pre-ceramic GMT at some point?
Yes, I just got one in face ;-)
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Fair do's. Enjoy it
Great video! I'm looking for cheaper alternatives of date just models, so very nice! ;)
I loved the Tudor 76214 (blue dial) that you present, very similar to the rolex day-date!
I agree with you, regarding Newbalance, they last a decade!
