  • In order to keep the bottom of your boat clean, you need to protect it from an accumulation of micro-organisms, plants, algae, or small animals on your underwater surfaces
The normal method of keeping your hull clean is by using paint that contains a biocide to prevent growth in the first place, but these biocides are typically only effective for around a year, so at some point every season, you need to get her out of the water, clean off the mess and apply a fresh coat of paint.
In this video we explain that process.

That was very useful, especially as I have a weekend lift out and three days to get the job done. My boat came out yesterday (weekend lift out with extra day), and hull and bilge keels looked just about the same as yours. Many thanks.

thanks for making the video. You deserve more followers! (I signed up)
BTW, how much did the hull wrap cost? I quite fancy that.

What do you do about the area covered by the stands?

Two options. Pay the yard to move the stands to a different position. Or wait until launch day and dab some paint on whilst the boat is in slings.
