    I like the idea of a lighter color under the bottom paint to show when it is time to rework.

    Just a comment about Sharkskin. It is not a good option for boats that stay out of the water for long periods, like on a trailer or long periods dry docked. Here is a quote from the manufacture's data sheet.
    "If the vessel is launched, and then rehauled,
    air exposure should be limited to 72 hours. If out of
    the water longer than 72 hours, Sharkskin will
    oxidize and lose its antifouling effectiveness.
    Therefore, an additional coat of Sharkskin is
    recommended after 72 hours of air exposure from
    haul out time."

      Ok so a dealer chosen painter vs who Ranger Tug uses? Just want to be sure since we are getting paint week after next! Almost time for delivery .
