@@TmPrdXx You mean it's more intuitive for people who aren't very bright there's no logic in having multiple units of measurement that are all proportional. It's worthless, you can just say 1 meter, 1000 meters, 0.1 meters, etc. because the frame of reference never changes. So in effect you only have the one "base" unit.
@@Szolrykor So, going with that statement I assume you are from USA. Based on that, when you go to your local Walmart, does the cashier say 1571 cents or 15 dollars and 71 cents? Seeing as the dollar is proportional with cent.

A very good one at that. And all the measurements are provided in MM. Moral of the story. Next time your car gets smashed in the USA, it's fixed using the metric system. Boom.
@@markovertus3909 All units are going to be proportional to their base. The point is about MULTIPLE units that are proportional with *each other*. A cent is 1 per"cent" of 100. But then there are nickels: five "cents", dimes: ten "cents", quarters: twenty-five "cents". You just gave an example of Metric's logic being worthless. Does a car cost 40 "kiloeuros" in Europe? No, it'd cost 40 thousand Euros. The "thousand" is already a unit. It's redundant. The only reason for having other units is if they're in proportion to something useful, i.e. different value coins.

*No wonder you didn't like the last saw, the chain saw, and had a hard time using it!! It's because you were using it totally WRONG!!!* *You were trying to hold the chain saw STRAIGHT and cut with it, that's WRONG!! You are supposed to pass the chain around the branch or tree once, holding one ring in each hand (you can still put a branch through the ring holes to make it easier on your hands) then you pull one ring/hand towards you as the other hand gets pulled away from you, then you pull that hand towards you and so on. Then you gradually speed up that motion pulling each hand towards you back and forth in a rapid motion!!!* *Chain saws like that can cut down a six to eight inch tree in less than a minute done correctly!!!* *I'll try and put a link up of one being used correctly if I can find the video!!* *You saw how quickly it was cutting when it did get moving, now picture that going back and forth really fast!! He should've been able to cut that tree he was cutting in less than ten seconds!!!*
Would it help the chain to move better if you waxed or otherwise lubed the chain? This is a serious inquiry. It seemed like the chain kept binding in the cut.
Keith Good I was also going to say that it is more useful if you are cutting an already downed tree. Lay the log on something or dig a small trench. Pass the saw under and stand up. Much better angle and better leverage.

HiopX Great tip to easily die in a survival situation.
metric is much better
The biggest mistake every manufacturer makes with pocket chainsaws is not coating them with Teflon or DLC or something like that, to minimize friction. And the biggest mistake _users_ make is not having their buddy bend the tree away from the blade to minimize binding.
Great tip, thanks!
Simple just stand under the tree limb and allow gravity to gently assist the limb down
@@ritotron5752 : I'm pretty sure you're joking about standing directly under a limb you're cutting off, but either way that only works for horizontal limbs that are still attached to the tree at one end. If you're trying to cut deadfall, for example, gravity will not help you.

the metric system is far superior.

The imperial system is based on the metric system.

imperial: 1mile=5280ft, 1 yard= 3ft, 1inch= 0,0833333333 (1/12)ft

NizVania neither are superior. It's all preference. Metric is uniform but that doesn't mean it's better than imperial
Blaze AP Well... yes it does! The imperial system is way too convoluted and with that inefficient to work with which makes it objectively worse than the metric system.
Of course it does... It makes it a lot more efficient because it is uniform and with that superior.
And yet the U.S. doesn't use it and is far superior to all the countries that do.
that is the most subjective thing I've ever heard.

The metric system is a terrible system designed for idiots. US customary is far superior when it comes to every day life.

Triggering statement..... "Metric system is no use to any one"
The Metric System is much more logical;)
@@TmPrdXx You mean it's more intuitive for people who aren't very bright
there's no logic in having multiple units of measurement that are all proportional.
I'm from the USA. Live in Pennsylvania and use the metric system on a daily basis. I'm a frame technician in a body shop. Like alot of shops we use Car-O-Liner which is a Swedish product.
Americans: "the inch is so much better than metric!"
The inch: *is defined by metric* because no one could agree what it was supposed to be
🤣🤣🤣🤣
False, an inch is 3 barleycorns which is imperial
Ask your mom what 6-inches is, she'll tell you.
The U.S. inch is the same as the imperial inch //gallon size changed Imperial=160 oz U.S. made their smaller so it is 128oz Imp quart has 40oz. U.S. has 32oz. Imp had 5 8ounce cups=1 quart U.S. had 4 8ounce cups = 1 U.S. quart (I think it happened back in the day of sailing ships the Brits gave out 1 cup less of GROG(whiskey) You had your gallon and the English drank their extra ration. The U.S. settlers wanted their own gallon and got it. I guess.
The main thing in Scotland is men confusing inches with centimeters.😄
12:00 Probably a better idea to cut your food with it *before* using it to hoe through multiple generations of animal droppings on the forest floor?
Dont like flavor on your sausage?
*No wonder you didn't like the last saw, the chain saw, and had a hard time using it!! It's because you were using it totally WRONG!!!*
*You were trying to hold the chain saw STRAIGHT and cut with it, that's WRONG!! You are supposed to pass the chain around the branch or tree once, holding one ring in each hand (you can still put a branch through the ring holes to make it easier on your hands) then you pull one ring/hand towards you as the other hand gets pulled away from you, then you pull that hand towards you and so on. Then you gradually speed up that motion pulling each hand towards you back and forth in a rapid motion!!!*
*Chain saws like that can cut down a six to eight inch tree in less than a minute done correctly!!!*
*I'll try and put a link up of one being used correctly if I can find the video!!*
*You saw how quickly it was cutting when it did get moving, now picture that going back and forth really fast!! He should've been able to cut that tree he was cutting in less than ten seconds!!!*
Keith Good i have somting like dad too my favorit tool
Would it help the chain to move better if you waxed or otherwise lubed the chain? This is a serious inquiry. It seemed like the chain kept binding in the cut.
