    O..M..G..... THANK YOU! I've been trying to get my P1S to connect on and off for weeks now with no success.... Your comment about ensuring your wifi had 2.4 and 5 enabled, that was the trick! I had created a separate 2.4ghz network just in an attempt to simplify the connection (or something like that) so thank you!

    thanks for clearing up the Lan Only business. Like you, I said NO initially. Good stuff.

    Great explanation - thanks! That initial warning dialog really does need some work 😜 I'm hoping someone is able to resolve the camera monitoring (maybe in a branch of Studio) since it doesn't make much sense to NOT be able to access the camera across the LAN - if anything, it should work better not having to round-trip to their servers and back. Given that its' streaming from the device, this could be an area that requires a firmware update to fully support but we'll see what the community comes up with!

      If you saw his previous video you can still use the camera(windows media player) in lan only or if the BL cloud goes down. I do it all the time.
      I posed a video a few days ago on how to do it with a few steps.

    The camera issue in the LAN only mode is solved by a € 30 Eufy indoor Cam and printing a camera holder that you can stick on your printer window or attach in some other fashion to you P1P. Works just fine. In fact the quality is waaaay better than the footage from your Bambu cam.

      there is one reason : bambulab want your data.
      wanna use the camera ? so use the cloud and give your data to bambulab.

    With such robust networking gear, why not put the Bambu on an iOt network and leave it on WLAN? I have a unifi network and that's how I'm handling it.

    You can still use camera in lan only mode though. Using the steps from your previous video and another program (windows media player) you can still use the camera. I even tested with zero internet on a router and the camera worked fine just not in handy / BL studio or orca of course. As long as you "go live" beforehand.
    I also tested using my phone, using VPN to a computer on the same network. Internet needed of course.

    My work around is to use Team- Viewer, leave my laptop running with studio, and just use my phone while I'm away to monitor it. 🙃

    Can you still use the Handy App if you are on the same network? At my work it requires extra paperwork to get a device on the wireless network thats not a computer or phone since it requires an Active Directory username and password not just picking an SSID and entering a password. If I get it connected to the whitelisted SSID network I may not be able to get outside the firewall.

    • @352tommy
      @352tommy Год назад

      No, you cannot. As he said, the Handy App only works via Cloud, so the App will become useless as soon as you go Lan Mode

    When i get my X1C I plan to create a Guest Wifi Chanel so that the bambu is isolated from my network. That way, when i want to connect my laptop to the bambu i simply tell my laptop to use the guest network while I'm using bambu studio

    • @lendizzle77
      @lendizzle77  Год назад

      Good idea. Make sure to make the guest network 2.4 and 5. The X1C needs 2.4

    A question. My PC ( Windows 10 ) is connected tot the web by LAN. How to make if I go for the connection PC - Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, over WIFI but keep on the PC / WEB over the LAN ( cabled ) connection? Reaaly in a mood here should I drop my Bambu Lab to the scrapyard or keep ik anyway.

    How do you assign an IP address to the X1E? It was supposed to have proper networking ability.

    I don't even use bamboo studio. Unless I'm doing something for someone else I find bamboo studio a piece of crap. I use a derivation of cura for slicing. Then I put the modified G-Code on a card and run it from there. The camera is useless. The firmware is crap. You get your acceleration and deceleration of the hot end from the code generated from bamboo studio unlike klipper which modifies the code on the fly. The only thing I really do appreciate is the electrical connectors. They sometimes flake out and give you erroneous codes but unlike the k-max they're pretty sturdy and not going to fall apart after connecting them a few times.

    I recently received my new x1c but have problems in getting it to print properly. While it scans it's flow calibration lines and while scanning the first layer, the nozzle constantly loses some filament which then gets distributed over the buildplate and the first layer. In addition, after scanning the first layer the printhead moves to the nozzle cleaning station where it extrudes a few centimetres of filament which stick to the nozzle and gets carried onto the model which thereby gets destroyed. I can only get prints out of it by switching off the first layer check and wait in front of the printer until it finished the flow calibration to then quickly grab the distributed filament by hand before it starts the first layer. I used the original filament with factory profile and also prusa petg with the generic petg profile but none of them worked. Both the exact same issues. Have you ever run into similar issues and know how to solve the problems? Sadly the bambu support is very slow to answer and cannot really help. They even don't read what I write because they ask things that I have already told them before...

    • @lendizzle77
      @lendizzle77  Год назад

      It sounds like the nozzle is clogged. Which is weird because it is new. Have you done a calibration from the settings menu? Try removing and cleaning/ replacing the nozzle and doing a calibration. I do have a little at the end of the nozzle and every once in a while it affects the print by dropping a little piece, but it doesn’t cause the print to fail. My gut it telling me you are having an issue with the nozzle.

    • @harrywind1870
      @harrywind1870 Год назад +1

      @@lendizzle77 thanks for your quick response. I have already changed the nozzle even though it was a new one to rule out a manufacturing error but the new nozzle showed the exact same behavior. I haven't run a dedicated calibration I think. I followed the instructions to set it up and ran the whole calibration before the first print. Then it always does it's flow calibration procedure etc before every print. I will try doing a dedicated calibration process again next week.

    • @lendizzle77
      @lendizzle77  Год назад

      Run the calibration. Let me know if it starts working.

    • @harrywind1870
      @harrywind1870 Год назад

      @@lendizzle77 I ran a new calibration but that sadly made no difference. Everytime the printhead comes back from it's cleaning station it carries a few cm of filament hanging on the nozzle. I can only print with the first layer scan turned off and sitting in front of it to quickly remove excess filament from the bed by hand.

      Mine clogged on day 1 and it wasn't a simple stick a needle in the nozzle clog. I had to unscrew and go threw multiple manual steps to finally get it unclogged. And of course it happened again few weeks later. It's not a point and shoot device as everybody makes it out to be.

    I have had some SERIOUS issues with my P1P. I have had it for 3 days and am ready to send it back. The binding is not working. I have my phone, pc, and printer all on the same 2.4 LAN. However if I create a hotspot on my phone the printer will connect to that and bind. I can then send jobs through the studio on my PC to the printer as the phone is the middle man. The down side is some of the features like the camera do not work. If I leave my house the connection is broken. This is the type of "functionality" I would expect from Creality. This is not a better experience than my ender 3 Pro. EXTREMELY dissatisfied at this point.
