Why is it, you can point a gun at a person and go to prison, but if you drive without a child restrained all you get is a ticket, that mother is brain dead.
There is, it's a law called child neglect that can be enforced should the officer want to be tied up waiting for a tow truck to tow the car prior to taking the parent to jail and the child to cps
Laws used to be skirted more when officers had to hand write out tickets. Now they can scan your ID and print the ticket and almost everyone gets one. Therefore if they can come up with a faster way to enforce child neglect, it would always be enforced
Whenever I see a cyclist I always assume that they are going to blow through stop signs and lights. In 20+ years of driving I can count on one hand that I have seen someone on a bicycle actually adhere to traffic laws.
The 17yo obviously feels entitled with total disregard for rules and regulations and no regard for her child's welfare. I'm a retired RN. I wish teenagers had to spend just one week in the emergency room to witness the aftermath of a vehicular accident. They would certainly have a different attitude about safety and death. Our children heard about the results of disregarding rules and safety, and I taught both of our boys how to drive.
Thanks for the work you’ve done as an RN. I have been that child in the ER after a serious accident. Missed 5 months of school, physical therapy, the works. But thanks to nurses like you, I made it, thank you!

My mom really doesn’t have a great understanding of English, she just nods and pretends to understand. I have to take here everywhere from jury duty to doctors appointments to getting her business license renewed to getting drivers license renewed. Some people fake it, but others like my mother, truly don’t understand. How does she get away with not knowing English and becoming a millionaire in America? She hires people who speak her language and can translate for her at her business…

There is a silent majority that supports you and your colleagues that abide by the laws, whom you don't interact with on a daily basis, when compared to those who have great disdain to authority that are been put in place to serve the innocent. After cleaning homes and a desire to embrace the culture, she made an effort to learn English, without going to classes. Hence, get enabled her to create her business . With the fondness of wanting to grow, adapt and learn the ways of the country that provides for her and gives her unique freedoms, she learned the language and became a US citizen. She shares with me on how happy she was when George Bush made a surprise visit, after she was sworn in. If I am to move to another country (Brazil), it is expected of me to learn their language and not cater to my unwillingness to learn.

We really wanted to learn how to outsmart the guns so we could speed and figured out you really can't outsmart the laws of physics. Nearly 30 years ago and that lesson has stuck with me. Good assignment that's kept me mostly out of trouble.

For the third person, when I had my learner's permit my BF at the time kept encouraging me to take his car by myself. I think I only did it when going to the grocery store (5mins down the street), but on all of the other occasions, I told him he needed to be with me. It was helpful because I made so many mistakes that he called me out on to teach me. One thing I will never forget is I came to the end of a side street to turn and he asked me why I didn't stop. I said because there was no stop sign. He said, "You always stop at the end of a side street because you don't know who's coming around the corner." 20yrs of driving, I have had ZERO accidents and no infractions. No one's perfect, I've had my fare share of warnings

I've had to ride behind slower moving vehicles a lot of times, sometimes for miles on end. Every time that happens I try to keep a safe distance and wait for an opportunity to pass them when traffic lightens up, even if I have the urge far back in the nether regions of my head to ride up on them just to coax them to speed up and not willfully create a long line of backed-up traffic. But I don't do that because I know better than to let ego take control and try to police other drivers. Most often it's elderly people who clearly can drive up to the speed limit, but for one reason or another persistently stick to driving a certain range under it even at the expense of everyone else's time.
Wow! Learners license and doesn't have another driver who is 21 or older. Child without a car seat and driving reckless. I see good things in her future. Lol

I've had to ride behind slower moving vehicles a lot of times, sometimes for miles on end. Every time that happens I try to keep a safe distance and wait for an opportunity to pass them when traffic lightens up, even if I have the urge far back in the nether regions of my head to ride up on them just to coax them to speed up and not willfully create a long line of backed-up traffic. But I don't do that because I know better than to let ego take control and try to police other drivers. Most often it's elderly people who clearly can drive up to the speed limit, but for one reason or another persistently stick to driving a certain range under it even at the expense of everyone else's time.

@@hi-iq7zd it's reckless because of the speeds they were going, no turn signal, and following too closely. Also consider they're driving like that endangering their own toddler. That's insane to me.
