I used to be one of those egalitarian feminists. I went to college to become a pharmacist but met my now husband right before I was set to start. Fast forward to today and we have a beautiful baby boy and I stay home full time to cook, clean, and nurture (without a mountain of student loan debt)… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for the talk, Doug. It’s great to hear affirming words put so simply and eloquently.

A voice of sanity in an insane world. Doug talks about things many times I already know to be true, but just hearing someone saying them in a clear and elegant way helps the sane keep their sanity. Greatly blessed by these videos.

I have 2 unmarried sons in their early 20's. It would be extremely helpful if someone on your staff would create a playlist of all the video blogs to Pastor Wilson's nephew. I would like both of my unmarried sons to watch them for the sake of correcting their worldview around who they should marry.

These gender stereotypes have been based on our historic past and experience. Many are true and can even be helpful. Today t. feminism wants to put ideology over nature which has worked from the beginning of time! Men and Woman are not the same.. and thats why men are handsome and woman beautiful...The differences between men and woman are beautiful. I dont see it as weaknesses. The sexes just are complimetare to each other. I Like this.. its all true what you are saying.

I went through a semi-femi period when I was younger. I have come to realize that there were gender roles before the fall which means they aren't bad. Sin has twisted everything so why are we surprised it twisted this?

Yes there were, by default of their biological difference and by declaration of God Himself. Peter and Paul both reference that God states He made Eve, a creature with different body parts and abilities - like having babies - to a helper suitable for Adam. So Adam has a job and she helps him accomplish it, but he's the leader and he's responsible. God child have made whatever, anything whatsoever, but He didn't make 2 matching men, nor 2 matching women, nor 2 matching hermaphrodites that were both equally strong and both able to birth babies. No, He specifically chose to make 2 physically and mentally dimorphic people. Clearly dynamic and exciting gender roles were His plan and boring egalitarianism sameness was not the plan, but rather the unoriginal, flattening and deadening of a shadow that cannot create real new things of its own, but can only twist and pervert good things made God.
@@ArcherWarhound But Eve didn’t have any children in the garden of Eden.. and Adam didn’t have anyone to lead apart from Eve, and sustenance was abundant and could be sourced without danger.. so what were the gender roles there?? Dynamic and exciting or otherwise!
@@aallen5256 He just answered your question but it seems like you are not accepting the answer. Adam's gender role was to lead and Eve's gender role was to help him.
@@Sldoficn Just interested in going deeper. Like what was Adam's job, he wasn't leading anyone other than Eve, and in what work? But this is a sad subjugation anyway, and proved untrue by the many entire countries, currently and historically, that are lead by women! Including New Zealand, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Greece, the UK, Switzerland, Germany, etc.

Reflect upon this- that God saw that it was “not good that man should be alone” so a help meet was made to complete Adam. Human fullness is the result of two becoming one in marriage. This at-one- ment is the point and picture of human wholeness from which any perspective on individuality in gender stereotypes can be appreciated without solipsism or asserted without the missing other.
God is brilliant: you either die for love ..... or die loving, but you can't be a hypocrite you are going to die.
If you love yourself, you are going to die twice: onece for yourself ( Hebrews 9:27), .... and for the one who you love (John 15:13).

I understand all the talk about marriage and men and women. It's needed in today's insane society.
But is there any help and hope for those who are older and single, not by any choice of their own? Especially women. We don't fit in with this godless world. But apparently we don't fit in Christian circles, either.
It seems that in today's increasingly crazy secular society, Christians have swung so much to the other direction that it seems the ONLY acceptable role for a woman is to be married and raising kids at home. I never chose to be single and over 50. Being alone is unbearable.
Hey, I'm sorry for being so late! I'm really sorry you're feeling this way. Christian circles 100% do not include single women, especially older women. But don't listen to Doug or other Christian Nationalists. Single women are loved by God, too. No matter what others say, it really is not your fault. And even if you did choose to be single, that would be fine too. There's a huge difference between being a super leftist progressive feminist and a normal single woman!

All stereotypes are boneheaded. That's like saying all Swedes are stoic, all blacks have athletic abilities, all Asians are good with math, and all French people are romantic and can cook.
My wife can drive a stick and hates clothes shopping. I can't drive a manual and love shopping for suits.
My wife also likes sci-fi and movies with gore. So, she goes to those movies with our teenage son, while I stay home and watch baseball, football, and college basketball, which our teenage son hates.
Oh, I'm a stay-at-home dad.
