    Great commentary, I’ve have always liked the X6, they are different, the coupe design to me makes it stand out and I too believe they are quite timeless too, the fewer facelifts and tweaks make a huge difference to how old the vehicle looks compared to how old it is.

      It's a bmw 3l diesel with zf transmission, probably the best combination and where you don't spend much if you maintain them...these are not the engines that are used in America that are full of problems and everyone complains about them. I had several cars with this combination from two 530d and an x5 and I probably did more than half a million km with them and had no problems. The problems started recently with the E6 and the particle filters and I am aware of the problem with the old chains and I did changed one at my fisrt 530d but the mechanics are experts in changing them now...it doesn't cost much , it was around 1000€. I have petrol now, even though I do 40k km a year...on how complicated are the new cars now the old diesel BMW are like tanks and easy to fix...you don't want to see what's under the hood of mild hybrid car...

    I had an X6 rental in the USA recently for a couple of weeks. In my journal, I referred to it as the Ugly Duckling. The rear visibility was ludicrous - and the cabin, although a nice place to spend time - was not easy to get in - still having to watch bumping my head on entry or exit. It was a major upgrade from the rental company (who had screwed up my booking), so it never felt too bad - but I'd NEVER buy one. I think an X5 would make more sense - but buying an Audi would make the most sense... What on earth happened to BMW's design department? They haven't produced a decent looking car in decades...

    • @behnambabaknia6843
      @behnambabaknia6843 Год назад +4

      Biased much? I agree on the statement about BMW's design, their lead designer Domagoj Dukec is ruining BMW but to say in decades is rather preposterous.
      The 2021 5 or 8 series are absolutely beautiful, but you wouldn't see that with your Audi glasses on would you.
      Saying that BMW hasn't produced a decent looking car in decades but preferring an Audi is a bit of an oxymoron.
      Not to say Audi hasn't produced some decent looking cars but for the most part they're rather boring and most look pretty much the same. A4 and A8 for example.

    I don’t really understand the obsession with comparing the X5 & X6. Yes, they share the same platform and engines and the X5 is cheaper with more practicality but that is the same template across every car manufacturer’s line up, more for less of the same. I had a 2011 40D model (mine had 5 seats and a sunroof), I am 6’1 and could sit comfortably in the back and there was loads of boots space which included an ‘under tray’ part that can hold two 10kg suitcases. I find most criticisms of the X6 always centres around cliche waffle as opposed to looking at the car in own individual entity.
