Amazing bowl, I am definitely going to create one of these, I love it when you clever crafters create something & I have similar items to give them a go xx We've been dog sitting my daughters black lab for two weeks (she is going home today), she's a sweetie & no trouble, but boy does she shed some black hair, I don't know how she's not bald !!!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣 TFS this great project xxx 😘😘😘
Fantastic Christine I love seeing what you will come up with next. Project after project you never dissapoint... and thanks for being authentic 🥰 Krissy
So ingenious Christine, what a lovely way to use the beautiful vintage tray cloth - and a clever way to construct a bowl with any circular piece of fabric I guess as well, like I can picture a lacy doiley layered over plain fabric, or maybe a circular patchworked piece .... ooooh I have an idea for something I could use. Thank you for the inspiration as always :) xo
That’s a really clever design. The cushioned inner ring gives it a good solid structure. I can see that design being useful for a small animal bed too. The lovely bright design would add an attractive lift to a craft room. It looks so handy
Such a lovely bowl and a great idea for repurposing a lovely doily. Have had two days of sunshine so yippee things are drying out, got in and mowed the front lawns yesterday bit damp but I mowed anyway was supper fun. Have a wonderful week, me I am off to teach this morning then this afternoon I will be the pupil learning about printing again. Having a blast with this and know have a few things I have printed onto fabric which turned out better than the tutor thought they would, others in the class are also experimenting with fabric but don’t know what to do with these I said aww I could possibly find a home for them, lol. Have a wonderful week and thank you for showing us this wonderful bowl, base bowl you made it look easy to make but I know from past experiences (cat beds sigh what a task these was) the rolled circle is harder to make than you showed, then again could of been me …… nah you made this look supper easy. Happy stitching and May the thread length be forever in Your favour ❤.
I'm crocheting an ear warmer headband for my daughter for Yule and with every row I'm picking off cat hair off it. So don't feel all special-like with Mr. T hair all over the place - LOL! Of course, the best part is when we find my daughter's cat's hair (long orange) in our food. Mmm... ~ Joy
Haha, you know it - the pet hair infiltrated everywhere! !I’m pretty sure Travers leaves me little furry gifts in my all my slow stitching baskets or project bags! 😆
Hi Christine, I love this little bowl. ATM I am doing a ‘model’ of it to see how it comes together. M. I don’t have any braid .. can you suggest something else that will give it the strength it needs? The Fleur workshop seems so long ago now. Thanks so much .. Joanne
Hi Joanne - lovely to hear from you as it makes me feel like I’m back at the table in Fleur’s workshop chatting away to you 🤗 you definitely don’t need braid - you can just use some fabric wrapped around a firm core that could even be craft felt on the inside where I used a firm blanket. Let me know how you go with your model and masterpiece 💛 cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
