I just came to discover that the mag safe case I have (ESR) really interferes with the optical zoom operation of the camera. Zooming from 1x to 5x on the same subject renders a completely blury image and the phone keeps hunting for focus. With this discovery I'd completely avoid these cases as this is a mechanical part that will surely fail with such interference.
I got a MagSafe compatible case with my phone yesterday. One thing I found, probably due to the misalignment you mentioned, is that my phone won't charge wirelessly with the case on, I need to take to case off to do charge wirelessly.
I got one in yesterday & mine gets super hot on the Wireless Charger
immediately.
So it went back in the box. Magsafe doesn't work well with wireless chargers because of the magnetic ring

When using a magsafe accessory on the s23/24 are there any problems or downsides to the pen when it's not in use? For example, using a magsafe charger, but the pen remains unused and Inside the phone
There doesn't seem to be - I used a MagSafe case for the entire time I had my S23 Ultra and used accessories/chargers, with no change to the S-Pen functionality as far as I could tell. dbrand didn't mention that in their post either.
@@TechNewsUK the case doesn't affect the S-pen, but the magnets on the other attachments may affect the s-pen. I just take my magnet ring holder off when I'm using the pen. I wonder if it depends on the strength of the magnets on the attachments?🤔
Can you recommend a mag safe charger for s24?
I actually would like to have magsafe or a magnetic ring, a kickstand and a transparant case as possible so that you can see the natural titanium of the phone still. I have a magsafe case now and like the fact it is not too firm nor too loose on the carholder.
Can you pleas test out that onyx case with the magsafe for s24 ultra? Cuz my ESR affects the S Pen without even accessory attached. Seems like magnets are harder each year. How about the onyx? thanks

@USVeganTraveler I also returned it and got the spigen zero one magsafe edition, no problems with the s pen when no accessory is attached.
I have the onyx case and spen works fine no issues at all.

In my case, the ESR Hybrid Case was causing a big dead zone even without any accessory attached. I am looking for an alternative now.
Does your case have any magnets on it? (Just the case)
@@Josh_himself The ESR Hybrid does have magnets on it. Since they are strong, they interfere. I am now using a Pitaka. It still has magnets, but they don't interfere, I guess because they are weaker.
Spigen cases don't seem to have such strong magnets

What case is that?
I buy the ESR magnetic rings and I put them outside on my case. They don't fall off, I can place the ring where I want, and it has no impact. I keep a wallet attached. I don't usually tirelessly charge my phone tirelessly, so no probkems.

I'm just now trading my phone in for an S24 ultra, but I been rocking a Dbrand case on my old phone for pretty much the entire time I've had it, and after almost 3 years with my S21 it doesn't have a scratch on it despite several nasty drops. So I would strongly suggest Dbrand if you don't mind the wait and spending a couple extra bucks

i just need a case that does wireless charging with a samsung wireless charger .... not a magsafe??
Just brought a S24 plus with a torras massage case , does NOT work with apple magsafe charger but does work with a Anker wireless charger I have , magsafe ring very powerful with the holder I have for the car
I have no issues with my spigen clear magsafe case

for me at least i got free shipping if i ordered above i belive 68 dollars so i just added some verified stickers so i get something else
Pen does not work with MagSafe cover even if NOT connected to power. The magnet of Magsafe prohibit the pen from functioning properly.
Hmmm S pen works fine with my S24u in a magsafe case by itself. Maybe some cases have different/super strong magnets or something that can give S pen issues

@@tonytypes That is also correct.. I have tried a cheaper Magsafe cover with not very strong magnet an it worked i would say 90% of the times.. sometimes it does not work on light pen touch near the magnets place, but a firm press on the pen works fine.
NOT ONE person will use the S-Pen with an accessory, charger, or power bank. Even if they do, then get a MagSafe case with a Magnetic Shield. Easy
It also affects without the accessory.

@@kylegoode1990 ESR halolock magsafe case new ones. ESR wallet, 15w car charger, ESR 10k charge bank. All their news stuff. S-Pen doesnt work.
