@@OverseerPC-Hardware Yes it has! I put my new PC together yesterday, and have spent the majority of yesterday and today setting up the OS and installing apps. I played some BO6 zombies just now, and it works like a charm! I would share a link to the build, but YT automatically removes posts with ANY link.
amazing content...im buying everything with the 9800x3d now except vga that ill buy next year when 5000 series is release and i have time to sell my current pc. ill keep using my 3070 until then.
I’m upgrading, but decided to go for a 9900x instead of the 9800x3d. I at 4K with DLAA, so gpu bound. So getting a cheaper and more all around cpu makes sense
Hi bro, just a piece of advise. Don't get the 9900X, you'll be gimping yourself. You either get this - amzn.to/4i0pV71 (if you're into gaming+ productivity) Or stick with an 8 core like the 9800X3D / 9700X for gaming. The 9900X and the rest of 900Xs has a 6+6 configuration. So, if you're gaming that utilises 8 cores, it works like a 6 core CPU and then travels to the other side for the two, introducing latency. That's why AMD is discounting these lot. 😉
without knowing what the 5090 is, u sing the 1080p with a 4090 lets you know how much leg room is there on the 9800x3d is. wouldn't make a purchase like this till we see what the 50 series of nvidia iwill be like.
I upgraded from my 9900x to this 9800x3d. I run a 4080, but I’m getting packet burst like crazy and it was hard freezing my whole pc on bo6, hasn’t froze for awhile but it gets “packet burst and extrapolation” could this be my cpu messing up!”?
packet bursting is a network-related issue, and not hardware 99% of the time. Check wifi connection / Ethernet connection. Bo6 also is having network issues in general, so it could also be that.
@ coincidence of upgrading right before season 1 update or the small updates that have followed i’d assume. I’d keep watch to see what it does over the next few updates and see if your problem persists
yah fuckit keeping that dirty old 5900x that drops below 140fps on my dota sometimes, but at thsi point rather buy a new macbook for work than dish out 1000$ for a 10-20% boost in fps
🟢 So, after seeing the results... are you upgrading to the Ryzen 9800X3D?
“Before you find a 9800x3d”
This one can do too 👌
Thanks for testing Helldivers 2, now I need this King CPU
No need to thank me, I'm just doing my part for Managed Democracy! 🫡
I bought the 9800x3d 7th November.
I am STILL waiting for it to arrive.
ive been trying to get one and i might just go for a 7800
Dang, that's a bummer bro.. has it arrived now?

That's a solid plan, bro.👍
Hopefully, you'll be able to buy the new cards before tariffs bump up everything.

Still losing out on frames

You chose... Poorly.
@@OverseerPC-HardwareBro this comment reply just made me sub, this is real pc building advice

@ just strange how I never got it with 9900x

Yeah, I agree.. that could just be BO6 Warzone issue related. There are currently hit registration issues, which people have reported too.
You took an L dropping a 9900x for a x3d chip. 9900x is the more powerful CPU, just raw power, no cache trickery to make it faster in games.

Could you try this test out on red dead redemption 2 1440p?
Not worth..this cpu is good the price is not
Yeah, bro unfortunately this is what happens when competition is not picking itself up.. whoever is on top can charge $$$ if unchallenged 😑
Add more mmorpg games
I haven't really played MMORPGs in a very long time.. what's everyone playing nowadays?
@OverseerPC-Hardware world of warcraft ww and final fantasy 14
Oh I see, unfortunately I'm not familiar with those games.
