I bought Granger's "Like A River" audio book within hours of it's release. I cried, I laughed, I hurt for Granger and his family and the anguish they have endured. I read it, too. God has really called this man.
My heart and prayers go out to him and his family! My oldest son was less than 2 when he started sneaking off when my back was turned, and we lived with a creek within a 100 yards or less next to our yard. I took my youngest son in the house with a bag of groceries and answered the phone and said I'll call you back and went back outside and he was gone. I had to call the sheriff's office to help find him. He was found 2 hrs later in the middle of the creek holding on to a tree. That was one of the scariest times of my life!! ALL of our children are precious, and God is wonderful!! God bless you, sir, and your family!
We have all had close ones. Parenting is not for the faint of heart!
My cousin accidentally ran over here five year old daughter. The little girl tripped and fell under the front wheel of the car. She life was unbeatable, until she started thanking God for the five wonderful years she had with her daughter instead of crying over the years they would never have together. She said she began to heal and come out of the darkness.
The story of Granger and his family broke my heart! ❤ God is so good to be there to pick us off and heal us!
Granger's testimony is a powerful one! Just as I typed the first sentence. The Ai gave me the emoji of the Devil.! Ugh!! Goes to show the times we're in and it's a Spiritual battle of Good and evil.! I started this to thank Glenn and especially Granger for sharing his testimony. We have something big in common! Listening to him helped remind me of how our Messiah saved me in the exact same moment! All Praise to YHWH for sending his son to lead and set the example for us, share his word and be the sacrifice for our sins!!

I love what he says at 9:44, how he had really never trusted in Jesus' Gospel, but in man's self-help books. Figuring that out, and turning to Christ, and reprioritizing his life in terms of the Atonement, of that Good News ... Fantastic. Good for Granger! He's got a beautiful life ahead of him helping others do the same.
This testimony put me in tears. We need to hear more testimonys like this. Praise our Holy Lord for sending Jesus, because I for one, am a sinner redeemed!

We also lost our oldest daughter. It is the hardest thing to go through. She was 13 years old when she passed. With the Lord's help, and we still had 2 other children to raise. That is how we have been able to get through.
We lost our 20 year old son Zeke, it's destroyed us each individually. All but one family member has started being together again, almost three years later.
I treasure th' family I have left,me and two daughters are closer than ever now.

I saw GRANGER for the first time in concert at his ranch through the Arms Family Homestead video. I really enjoyed his talent as a singer and his belief in our Heavenly Father through his son Jesus Christ Emanuel in the gospel song at the end of his concert. 52 years ago, my sister was walking with her two year old, all of a sudden he ran to the river 100 ft away, she immediately ran after him but just before she reached him, he ran into the river that was near flood stage and just like that, he was gone. All these years later, its like it happened yesterday, still. Families, especially parents never get over this kind of loss. G-d Bless him and his wife and kids, May HaShem comfort them always

I bought this book Like A River mostly because my oldest grandson's body was found in the river and now this past Sunday my 13 year old great grandson took his own life depression has taken over my life this book is helping me get through the loss.

I was a Christian for about 7yrs hungry for anything about the Lord...I was buying this book and that book and this DVD and one day I thought...why am I listening to other people's opinions about Jesus...when I have the real story and opinions of God right here in his word the Bible...so I quit wasting my time and money on other people's opinions and concentrated on the Bible...basic instruction before leaving earth...Bible!
Satan is a prowler. Suicide is murder. Those are the hard facts that people have to live with. Sugarcoating only makes matters worst. Don't like to hear that? Then get on your knees and pray to God, more than you ever have before. Not for help, but for guidance.

And I'm glad that God was involved in it. Because I could've been made a paraplegic, a quadriplegic, or even worse yet. Killed! Glenn, I really liked your show with the man who walked on the moon, but though I respect him I do have to say, in all do respect, that something he said, at least scientifically doesn't hold water. Let me try to explain. He said that the sunlight blocked out the stars just like on earth, blocking out the stars. Well, first of all, the earth has an atmosphere and the moon has such a minute atmosphere which cannot compare. Let me clarify; when sunlight hits the earth's atmosphere it is reflected and that light that continues throughout the atmosphere is dispersed. The most dispersed color of the spectrum is blue, why we have a beautiful blue sky, on the moon there is no atmosphere like that sort. We can see with the naked eye the moon and some stars at certain times of the day through our atmosphere and of course he could see the earth from the moon. If you've been to Tahoe when snow was on the ground, or skiing, you could get snow burn on a sunny day and if you didn't wear sunglasses your eyes would be sorely. Perhaps on the beach in Carmel or Miami the sun reflection would do the same. Well, on the moon without an atmosphere, what do you think the moon beach would do to you? If they didn't have space suits they would fry like in a frying pan, and they would be blinded by the reflection of sunshine light. So, scientifically his statement that the sky was just black, because just like on planet earth the sunlight blocked out the stars, just doesn't hold water...in all do respect.

I was suicidal and I was experimenting with cutting myself to see if I could open my veins and I was doing drugs to push myself over the edge but I had a vision of my mother at the side of my casket crying and blaming herself and I decided I couldn't do that to her and the rest of my family.

I was suicidal until I smoked weed and I enjoy the Bible and spiritual teachings more when I smoke marijuana. It's not for kids or all adults but it is very good for some people
Paul was not saved by an experience- Acts 9:1-19. The Ethiopian eunuch was not saved by a prayer-Acts 8:26-40. No one is saved by rolling on the floor or babbling nonsense- 1 Corinthians 14:33. ONLY baptism saves you- 1 Peter 3:21. Not by dunking a baby or pouring water or having some man toss water on you from a squirt gun or saving a prayer. ONLY immersion in water as an fully functioning mind can save you. This is what Jesus commands. Don't listen to the opinions of men. Visit a Church of Christ near you.
