- Well back in the fall I went to an estate and ended up coming home with about 13 fans in a haul, and in this video I figured we would go through the 2nd one of the fans I acquired! Hope you enjoy!
Beautiful fan, and a great resto. It REALLY shined up well!
Thanks Chris! It did clean up nice! :) Thanks for Watching!
glad you doing fan videos again i like that it spins counterclockwise it has to be a fan from the 1930s 1800s either way can't wait to see more restoration fan videos soon and i enjoyed the video and the time-lapse my favorite lol
I'm trying to keep a somewhat steady video output! Just been super busy so it's been a bit difficult unfortunately. It's probably a product of the 1920s or 1930s if I had to guess. Thanks for Watching! Glad you enjoyed! More coming soon!
@@colin_5839 I understand no worries i get it i'm always glad to see a fan video up when you get time and your welcome for me watching
Well done sir. Appreciate the detail that the time lapse brings to the rebuild.
Thanks! Glad you like the timelapse videos!
That is a very pretty old fan there Colin! It cleaned up great!
Sure is! Thanks!!
@@colin_5839 Yessir!
If you've ever seen the film "Twelve Angry Men", I think the fan on the wall of the jury room (the fan that doesn't work and is a cause of anger and frustration for the jurors) could be the same as this, or at least one of its siblings. Notably, the pedestal has three holes in it, which enable wall mounting as well as desktop use.
Never seen the movie, but I'll see if I can find the scene! Thanks for Watching!
Very nice Colin
Thanks Will!
Awesome fan
Thanks John!
How did you get the motor housing apart? I have the oscillating version and I’m stuck trying to get it apart so I can replace the cord.
If memory serves, once I got the motor isolated from the base, cage, and blades, I simply took the screws out and tapped lightly on the front of the shaft with a hammer while holding the motor casing and it popped either the front or rear motor housings loose and I was able to take it apart from there... Thanks for Watching!
@@colin_5839 Thank you! Great video, it was a real help!
Nice 👍🏻
Thanks Bono!
Just another thought... Be careful where you leave it, just incase Clint Eastwood gets any ideas of stealing it to make a drill to aid his Escape From Alcatraz!
Hahaha!
