Bro I hate pulling into truck stops because my def tank is in right side as well. So I guess I just gotta pull in backwards like you did…. Is that what you always have to do?
They buy from the store because the DEF is clean , the pump DEF is contaminated at times , International trucks especially have sensors in the tank that read contaminated DEF and your truck will Derate .
Lol. People doing it have their reasons. Especially Semis, if you every witness one DEF problem you will understand better. One Def problem Especially in Semi can range from $7-15k ..
I used DEF at the pump it cost me $3-4k and truck down for a week. Be careful, DEF out the pumps be contaminated and it can miss up all your sensors in your DEF system.
@@Patronesofly I said do your homework in the good way no to offend you I like research the information and is true in some states but you don’t remove the system only de tune it. Good vibes always
Much Success to you young brother. I’m excited and encouraged to see y’all getting out here and doing very well and sharing your knowledge with the masses. However, sometimes you will learn in this industry that some costs you will pay up front rather than much more on the end. It’s about the Quality of the DEF. I had to replace a $14,000 DEF system once. At season changes especially Winter--Spring mix it up. Dry and hot use DEF at Pump. You are fighting moisture and condensation inside the tanks keep truck tanks topped off.
This is one thing I love about people like you in the trucking community, sharing and passing along valuable information in a respectful way. I really appreciate the words and I’m also glad this video was made. A learning lesson for someone new like myself and others as well. So is it okay to keep using the DEF at the pumps for now?
@@boxtruckbros9935 Yeah, you can use it. Keep the tanks topped though. The issue as I said is condensation building up inside the tanks. Your truck tank as well as those at the pump. Just like people start to sweat when the humidity is high, the inside of the tanks sweat also, sometimes causing the poor DEF quality light or several other codes to activate. You can save some money for sure by buying DEF at the pump, but try to keep your REGEN System running most efficiently, by mixing it with the 2.5 Gallon bottles. There is no set method for the mix, but top off every time you fuel. Like I’ve stated during times of lots of rain and high humidity use the bottles because these are pure without any water having mixed in. Let me say I am not the definitive expert, others may have had different experiences. I am speaking from my own and have dealt with various emissions issues since theses systems were mandated back in 07. I drive a Semi, but all of the systems function the same. 21 years in the game. Stay encouraged and continue to press toward your mark! ✌🏾

Why do some people delete def?
Because DEF damage your engine do your home work. Is about money 💰 and less contamination
@@juanpizarro6642 yes but removing def is illegal in some places and no need to say do your homework its the point of a question.

There’s no way your truck should be sitting. Its too much money out here, you should be making SOMETHING.
