I'm excited to see the progression of both the new driver through the program and your work in dispatching. I don't own a truck nor have I ever driven one lol, but I'm looking into buying one and hiring a driver, I know logistics/trucking is a necessity and with hustle/drive/consistency you can obtain financial freedom, which is one goal for me.
Dispatch isn't as hard as people say. I got last week, 2.6 and 3 plus per mile both more than 400 miles from IL and MO. These crazy dispatchers will be giving 1.5, 1.6 and still want % no way I won't do that only when I don't have options or in a bad area FL, SD or ND. Dispatch is even easier when you aren't driving, Register with XPO, Ch Robinson, trinity, BNSF, Armstrong, circle Logistics, tql etc plus the boards. Your driver will grind well with you back on the board . Negotiate the best rates with dem brokers, especially whenever your driver is in the midwest . Your driver is 1099 ? You signed up with payroll company like ADP or you will do direct.Happy CEO, Happy Team. Congrats on the new Phase.
First of all congratulations, I’ve been watching you all morning! Thank you for the gems. My main question/concern in regards to the driver that you hired is : How exactly do they run the loads? Is it through your dot # & mc #; being that the truck is yours or do they apply for their own? Do they just hop on in the truck and go get the load on behalf of you?? I hope this doesn’t get looked over! Thank you in advance
Thank you!! So the driver drives for me under my authority. Everything is under my MC until the driver has transitioned into their own truck/authority.
I'm in the Philadelphia area and want you to know that your shared experiences are appreciated.
