This video was posted at the right time for me. My dog is back for a surgery that could be pretty risky because of a previous cardiac arrest under anesthesia. Im having a massive anxiety attack. But this is so far been a very good distraction. Thank you.
Hope your doggo gets good, everyone needs a good doggo, be aware that when Molly saw I was a ball of anxiety she cudddled up with me and it was good. Understand that your doggo loves you, and random youtube people want you to do great too!! Huggs!!
Hugs! Pulling for you and your dog. That's always hard. Anxiety is also never fun. Know that it will all be OK in time. Happy to distract how I can. :)
@Hyce777 she just got out of the surgery. It went well, thankfully. She'll be discharged at 2. Seriously thank you your content helped calm down my anxiety attack
The 2824 is a sweetheart, Ans seeing it tear the front off of a wood ES&D boxcar in 8 is imagination brought to life. (And SHEEP.) What a fantastic experience!
So wonderful to see that boxcar out on the rails! This is such a huge moment for you and everyone involved! Receiving/owning custom run models is some sort of special. My dad did a custom run of blue box box cars back in the day. We still have them and that coolness never fades. Those ES&D box cars will hold special places to the people who bring one home.
You were definitely having too much fun playing with those diesels and your ES&D boxcar. I definitely love that the one Santa Fe locomotive is one that you actually saw when you worked for BNSF. Nice bit of personal connection there!
my math professor of 1 year and who taught many classes and got me to do a math minor, passed away today as I am still in college, this has greatly helped me, perfecting timing hyce
Accurail makes great car kits and the price point is perfect for someone on a budget. Have you considered a steel box for a later transition Era or even a 70s Era car for ES&D? As much as I freelance, a Fowler box behind a C636 would look particularly peculiar and probably go over poorly.
Most of my stuff is old Blue Box, you can get some pretty good deals on those from the right places. I only recently pulled it out and started working on this stuff again
The blue box stuff is what dad had/still has and is what started me in the hobby. There is just something about setting those out on the rails and watching them run.
Can't wait to see who wins the giveaway for the ES&D Boxcar, if it wasn't for whoever was given out memberships in that one stream I wouldn't have had a chance to enter this, Good Luck to everyone who entered!
I think this is a really cool giveaway Hyce! Because I live in Europe, I don't have a credit card, so I unfortunately can't buy from the shop. However, it is still cool to see the new shop and all of it's products!
Dang that’s cool!!! Would you ever consider doing a more modern one, as in the ES&DT, as my model railroad operates 1990s-present era and I would…break the budget buying ES&DT stuff…
Model train lay outs will never be the same again. But yet it’s also glorious in its own right. ES&D boxcars, this is epic. I can now see people making their very own ES&D themed layouts across the nations where it’s mostly destroyed trains.
I'm so sorely tempted by this model, Hyce. It would have no place at all on my layout as planned, it's too long for the prototypical radii it would have to navigate, but I desperately want to find a place for it anyway as a subtle little nod to one of the people whose passion for trains has me actively working on the plans for my model railway again. Perhaps I can have it abandoned at the bottom of the cliff under the radius that would have caused it to live up to its name of ES&DT?
That would look so good with Sergent couplers in scale draft gear boxes (especially if you modify them to have working draft gear so you can bang it around and maybe even ES&DT it)! I’ll have to pick up a few from the next runs for my small h0 scale fleet.
That looks fun! Keep keep the trains uh... train coming! Train! I also love your derail valley videos, its quickly becoming everything I ever wanted in locomotive and train physics, etc
Some IM 33" metal wheelsets, and Kadee couplers, and those Accurail cars are great. Also, use either epoxy or rubber toughened CA glue (Bob Smith Industries IC-2000 tire glue) for the metal plate weight (after cleaning the machining oil off with alcohol or solvent).
Never cared for accurail’s couplers. I always swap those for Kadee #158 scale knuckles. I also use double stick foam tape for sticking the metal weight to the floor/chassis of the car. Already placed a preorder for one of the next run of ES&D boxcars.
I'm glad the bit of Jimmy's ancient bottle of super glue being seized shut made it into the timelapse. and I guess I need to sand back that loading dock some more for the post-depression era stuff don't I? That's also a sheep shearing station, so I guess that's some heavy wool you picked up!
Definitely looks a little more intensive than the old Athearn "Shake the Blue Box" kits, but not too bad. And don't worry, I'm sure we've all put in couplers upside down at least once...or twice...or five times...or ten times...
I'm lookin to dive into modelling by bringing my grandpas circa 1950s Marx santa fe hudson model loco back up and running for my mom's sake, and I get the feeling its gonna be one of those hobbies that rewires my brain chemistry just a wee bit- just need to pop in to the local club some time when they're actually open
Thrown my hat in the ring. Don't fancy my chances, but ya can't win if you don't play, eh? Also buying one of the second run, so who knows, maybe I could end up with two ES&D boxcars. Highly unlikely, but ya know, pigs in zeppelins. Awesome of Broadway Limited to send you those geeps. Beautiful models and I can only fathom how eye wateringly expensive they are. Just a shame they didn't send you the road number for the infamous poop loco, along with maybe a hot chick in coveralls figure to go with it ;)
That would've been a treat! Yeah, I feel spoiled. I believe they're about $350/$400 a piece. Modeling ain't cheap these days... but then again it seems nothing is. Ugh.
Also i have train cars that are 3 inches, what would they be in scaled feet? If one inch equals six feet would they be 9 feet or does that only apply to figures and not rolling stock?
I have a HO hopper made by that company and it did not get any couplers with mine a the break wheel broke when I was putting it on, now I need to get another break wheel some how😢.
62 and still build models particularly now that I'm medically retired and digging into mine and my late wife's ( yes I was the guy that found and married The One) stash of kits though most of my subjects run on fuels a bit more exotic that wood, coal or diesel. Not to say I don't still muck about with trains as not too long ago we were clearing out my mother in law's home after she passed and being the family ferroequinologist was given my late father in law's 50s Revell Atlantic Coast Line switcher set that after sitting in an attic for 60 plus years and the tender mercies of the younger versions of my eldest brother in law's needed a bit of TLC
In terms of having splody boys made, Brodway Limited does offer some tank car models but they're ready to run as I'm not sure if anyone makes an HO scale tank car kit aside from maybe Tichy or various resin kits (though none of those are painted). I know Atlas has done custom painted equipment for a freelanced railroad in HO scale but not sure what the minimum order number would be (they would have a few different tank car options though)
If you're international to the USA - there's a bug we're sorting out on the back end related to that. If not; I'm not sure what the issue is; shoot us an e-mail. :)
Hyce sorry about your dog my sister has a dog that's going thought dementia and it's entering the final stage she thinks she's a pup again and hopping around then she will go into a stare for hours. At the time you filmed this video you was a child at the candy wrapped around a child at Christmas. Great channel!
It's a wood sided external frame car, so it's most at home in the early 1900's. Wouldn't be unheard of up to about 1960, but might be less common. We're hoping to do an ES&DT modern box later.
Hey Hyce, its Matthew Chesnutt, don’t know if you remember me, I was a ES&D crew member, I recently got a new phone and have been redoing all my subs and I recently just got back to your channel, I’m currently in the negatives in my bank account, but when I get paid, I’m gunna join back, I’m also considering ordering an ES&D hat too
man, for as much as i would love trains, my birds are expensive enough! Always wanted an HO train, but no one would buy one for me as a kid, and now the birds cost way too much for another hobby.
We need more model-related videos!
This video was posted at the right time for me.
My dog is back for a surgery that could be pretty risky because of a previous cardiac arrest under anesthesia.
Im having a massive anxiety attack. But this is so far been a very good distraction.

the fact that an engine hyce used to see can haul a model of hyces creation now (even if in model form) is great to see
It's an ES&D boxcar, it needs the two engine escort just to make sure it stays on the rails.😂
And even then it derailed on a bridge 🤣
The 2824 is a sweetheart, Ans seeing it tear the front off of a wood ES&D boxcar in 8 is imagination brought to life. (And SHEEP.) What a fantastic experience!
I did not realize I needed an ES&D boxcar in my life.

My dad did a custom run of blue box box cars back in the day. We still have them and that coolness never fades. Those ES&D box cars will hold special places to the people who bring one home.
Thank you for letting Brandon and I have a Cameo!!!! Hope to get some of your products in the future!!!
I had a huge silly grin on my face watching you have fun with the boxcar and the two very cool locomotives. Thank you. I needed the cheer-up. :)
Glad to help my friend!
You were definitely having too much fun playing with those diesels and your ES&D boxcar. I definitely love that the one Santa Fe locomotive is one that you actually saw when you worked for BNSF. Nice bit of personal connection there!
Been there done that way to many times for putting the coupler in upside down. I have no doubt I'll do it again while assembling your kits.
As if I need yet another expensive hobby I have no time for... Lol
I live vicariously through your enthusiasm in these types of videos.
Now you need to get Jimmy's sheep cars! And a gon full of limes. 🙂
ES&DT Reefer Service
Aahhhh been DYING for this! Big thanks to you and the team for what y’all guys are doing

@@Hyce777 giggity. I really can't wait to be able to add so ES&D freight to my AHN (Ailin' Hurtin' & Needin') trains.

The sound! The whistle is spot on for BNSF
train shows are fun sometimes i go to them a few times a year and sometimes the national train show to run some trains with a group of people
I think this is a really cool giveaway Hyce! Because I live in Europe, I don't have a credit card, so I unfortunately can't buy from the shop. However, it is still cool to see the new shop and all of it's products!
Awesome cameo of Smith & Brandon
Dang that’s cool!!! Would you ever consider doing a more modern one, as in the ES&DT, as my model railroad operates 1990s-present era and I would…break the budget buying ES&DT stuff…

I can't believe you just had a pee cup just there, ready and waiting.
Got lucky and had one in my bag. Lol

We need one in 3 rail O scale
That looks fun! Keep keep the trains uh... train coming! Train! I also love your derail valley videos, its quickly becoming everything I ever wanted in locomotive and train physics, etc
If the ES&D kit comes with a wheel missing, is that a bug or a feature?
....yes
Either the ES&D box car use clap out SD&S couplers that sometimes works or the only model box car you can do some *KICKING*
The box car looks amazing. I will definitely be looking forward to buying a couple from the store.
At 19:19 you should have given your train the beanszzz!

Another top notch video, always enjoy the model content! Can’t wait to use the koozies alongside the hat and shirt I just bought!
Thank you Ryan!
It would be fun to see more film at the museum
Ive been thinking about re lettering some models to ES&D/ES&DT but now that I can preorder proper equipment I might actually have to do it!
Loving the classic ES&D coupling happening. If you didn't lose a finger you didn't couple those cars!
Any chance there will be an N scale ES&D boxcar on your store someday?
its in the cards!
Awesome!!! Thank you!!
That is the hope and dream!
I have a GP38 ATSF No. 3500 in my collection. I can't wait to get an ES&D box car to pull around my loop with it.
Also, Smells Like Kenosha at ruclips.net/video/qwG03F2Q3l8/видео.html was a nice touch.
Loveland? Dude you were really close by! Hello!
16:01 Kenosha, I'm guessing too fast around a corner and the box gets thrown off the rail
Surprisingly accurate
Yeah I am in the draw for the box car you have to do a splodiboy soon I am enjoying every video you make hyce keep up the amazing work

19:27 BLI ES&D stock car with Hyce and Co sounds coming when????
Love the new outro
Need ES&D narrow gauge rolling stock too! Especially an ES&D Montezuma.
I do very much want to get some narrow gauge stock too... :D
@@Hyce777Remember, the EBT ran standard gauge cars on narrow gauge trucks.

I tried to pre order one of the other box cars but it wouldn’t allow me to enter a payment method :(
Try chrome or edge; some browsers aren't working apparently.
I am terrible at winning contests but I put in a order for one of those cars. Looking forward to having it on display.
Cheers Chris!

We've looked into a few manufacturers. We'll see.
For half a second looking at the thumbnail, I actually thought you would _somehow_ be giving away _an actual boxcart_
Are the bogies included with the boxcar? Or one has to buy them separately
I can't seem to get the shipping to work.

Any chance for an ES&D Splody Boy?

HO scale.
i remember back when you only had 50k subs... good times
Two more road numbers of ES&D boxcars to go with my first two?

Can you make these in bulk
What the heck was the ES&D hauling that a single boxcar needed DP? Solid blocks of depleted uranium? Boxes full of osmium?

Is there any chance of an O gauge box car in the future?
