I think if you put the "outside" of the paper facing down when you score, the project will turn out the way the sample is, without having to trim the sideways pocket down. Love this project!!
These are super; I'm so glad you made them on video again. Such a fun piece. You measured correctly, Gayle, but when it came to folding it was upside down. From your example one, the narrowest section is on the left and in your makes today it was on the right. That's why a piece needed trimming. But, it really doesn't matter. Just goes to show how many ways there are to make it work. Another excellent demonstration of creative thinking at work. ❤ Belinda xxx
I’m back home! We had a little snow in Joplin, Mo. after l drove through and gone when l came back through. So no snow in S.E. Kansas. So l had to catch up before bed. Hope you’re having a lovely time with your family. My Branson, Mo. family was wonderful. The drive was easy too. I’m getting to visit with my Tennessee and Texas grandchildren the next few days. I love it! 🥰 I love these flippy-floppy pocket/flap folio’s 😁👋🤗❤
These flippy flappy’s are so pretty when finished, but man do they give me a headache trying to score & cut in the right places! We have snow, not as much as forecast but 5” with high winds created blizzard conditions on Christmas Day. Lots of businesses closed or not opening until noon today. I’m staying in snug and safe! Have a blessed day!
FOUND IT!!!!! You did the original video on March 15, 2022 called Seven Pocket Mini folio from 12 x 12. Julie from Camelia Crafts did the original on February 23, 2022 called Seven Pocket Mini Folio one sheet project. Whoo Hoo!!! Love your videos Gayle even when they do cut off abruptly. Do-Do happens! All the best, Carol

Good morning Gayle🥰 Really fun flippy pocket and I love the papers you picked, no worries about the abrupt ending. Hope you have a fabulous day, take good care. 💕Hugs
Happy Tuesday sis! Hope you had a beautiful Christmas with your family! Looking forward to seeing what you are making today! Have another lovely day with your family! Blessings! Love you! ❤
Good afternoon Gayle! Watching today from rather unseasonably warm and snowless Wisconsin Dells. This is a really cool project. I love these one page wonders. I think Stamperia papers work really well with them too. I hope you are still enjoying the company of your family, but wherever you are I wish you a very blessed and happy day. Take care. I will see you tomorrow. I love you friend 😊🤗❤
Gayle this was a fun one to figure out for sure, I know how to get the shorter pocket ! You want to use the side at 3 and 3/4 to cut the top pocket from. I am making more of these tonight😊 Hope your Christmas was wonderful, Looking forward to the New Year!
Good morning Gayle. I tried this when Julie first made it. I managed to one right and a bunch wrong. They were still usable but just all different. Tfs this video. Maybe this time I can get it right. Hugs. ❤
I think I need a remedial class in scoreboarding, it took me several times to get this right! Thanks for a fun project and a belated Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hugs!❤
Thank you for making more than one, seeing it being made more than once, I think I can made one now!!! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and enjoyed being with your family!❤❤
Hi Gayle I follow Julie. We made these little folios I think this past Spring. The part you have on the inside(no pockets) is actually the outside. Thank you for this refresher. Happy New Year.
Good evening Gayle I started this video on bedroom TV while folding laundry then totally spaced until tonight...catching up. I cannot believe you even put out a Patreon video yesterday before you left on vacation. You are so awesome, Gayle, to give us all this content before you leave. You ARE THE BEST❤❤❤❤❤ again happy holidays to your family an d you!!
I made 25 of these folios last week. At the beginning some of them didn’t quite match up on the folds and I didn’t know what I was doing wrong. But then I went carefully over your instructions and realized that I had the two 3-inch measurements matched with the wrong long measurements. Once I figured it out, I finished them all correctly. It was a lot of fun to do.
Thanks for recreating the flippy pocket folio. I have so much 12x12 paper that I’m always looking for ways to use it up. I think your new word for the year is one I need to adopt, also.
I see several people figured out that you measured on the inside and scored on the outside and that’s why that you had to cut that flap to fit correctly but you made it work. I have another hint, when you’re cutting the little vees at the at the folds in order to avoid having to cut the cut twice, one on each side of the fold, just fold it like you do for distressing, and cut once. Faster and symmetrical also.
Gorgeous paper! My SIL makes Baklava (sp?) each Christmas. It is almost too sweet to eat. For sure, ya gotta love honey, honey. Wishing you and Mike a wonderful Holiday!
Good morning my sweet friend Gayle and crafty expert. I love this idea. You are an amazing artist and your talents are superb. I enjoy your many fun ideas and your daily commitment to us. We're grateful to you for sharing with us. Enjoy your family and friends during the holidays. I hope you have an abundance of laughter and love. 🎄🌟🙏
Good morning my dear friend, it’s another grey dreary foggy day here again today. Christmas has come and gone for another year. It sure came and went by quickly. Health wise I continue to feel somewhat better with the passing of each new day and I can’t wait till I feel back to myself. I hope that you and Mike and your family had a wonderful Christmas Day. Ours was very quiet, which was nice and today will be another quiet, relaxing day. I enjoyed watching this video. Thank you for always bringing laughter and joy everyday with each new video. I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your day with your family. I look forward to seeing you in the next video. God bless you and your wonderful family always. Your friend Cindy, from a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🎄🎄🎄🤧🤧
HI Gayle!! I do remember you having a video showing this before, however, I'm glad you are doing it again!! The first one decorated up nicely!! I hope you and Mike had a wonderful Christmas with your family!! Mine was quiet compared to years gone by where if everyone showed up, we (Mom and I - she passed away 7 years ago) would end up between 22-30 people. This year was around 10 people for dinner!! It was still a nice day!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz:)
Good morning after Christmas Gayle! I’m sure you had a fabulous Christmas with your kids & I hope the drive wasn’t bad. It’s still unseasonably warm here but still rainy & damp. I love these floppy flappy thingies. I know I’ll be making a few soon as I try to unwind after all the busyness. My word for 2024 is going to be ‘Finish’. Or else, at my age, my poor son, daughter-in-love & grand daughters are going to inherit a mess of UFO’s 😆 🙄! They’ll be saying ‘Granny, what were you thinking’.
Good morning Gayle, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family! I had my baby girl & her family came over & visited, made my day! Love your project today, I will try it,lol! Thanks for sharing & have a wonderful day!🤗💜💕🌻

Hello Gayle: Such a busy few days, all my 32 cousins are here, we watched all your videos, they loved them, how was your Christmas, best wishs for the New Year. Big hugs. :)
Good morning! Hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family! These are great flippy flappy ephemera! Tfs!! Hope you got all your cooking done! Blessings dear! Be careful on your trip home! 💕🎄💕
Your measurement problem is that you are measuring the inside of the original and then scoring the outside of the new. It's giving you a mirror image. You made it work so all is fine, no worries.
Oh Gayle. The pink floral prints are really my kind of paper! Love, love, love them! I'm guessing you've had them for ages and probably don't remember what company sold them or what collection they're from?? Lol Wishing you and the family the best and happiest holiday season!
Oh I love this.. unfortunately all my 12x12 sheets are one sided and I really don't know what to do with them to make it work. I made two thinking I could just glue them together😢 but it's beyond me.
Good morning Gayle!! Hope you had a blessed Christmas with your family. My son and his family got the flu, so we had to change plans and had Christmas dinner with our daughter and her family. It all worked out for everyone, just missed seeing our son. Love these folding pocket folios. Great way to use up 12x12 papers. Have an awesome day...💜
Good morning, Gayle❤. Have you ever thought about a series of journals focusing on the months/birthstones and then with anything else that is associated with that month? It's been on my mind all night and I wanted to share with you. Now all we need is JoeytheCardmaker to design something along that line for each of the twelve. ❤ Hope your week after Christmas is restful. Blessings from SC.
☕️Good Morning Gayle! 😊❤🎄 No cheesecake for Christmas? Just baklava? lol 😂 I’m sure it’s delicious and your family had a lovely celebration filled with the joy of the season and lots of good food. I definitely cannot pass on a cheese ball. 💙🦋
❤ thank you for reviewing this one, I need a few more things to add to one of the journals I’m making. A question for you would you consider doing a video on closures? I don’t think I saw one in your playlist, unless I overlooked. I need ideas on closures and some how to’s if you’d do that’d be great.
