Gayle, once again, I am completely blown away by your kind sharing of this idea. I'm thrilled that so many other folks are now stacking and whacking! Your tags are stunning! The surge of new viewers and commenters on my channel has been overwhelming this week. Your support (and that of your loyal subscribers) means the world to me - THANK you! Let's all keep crafting together!
Good morning my dear friend, we got another ton of snow last night and it continues to snow now. The temperature has been dropping and it’s really cold out. I’m so grateful that I do not need to be anywhere over the next few days, I can stay in my warm house. I enjoyed this video and the interesting tags. Great idea. I hope you and Mike have a great rest of the day. Take care and stay warm. I look forward to seeing you in the next video. May God bless you and your wonderful family. Your friend Cindy, from a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏☃️☃️☃️
I was so intrigued by the video title, but, my friend, this was the WORST video for me to watch today. I'm away from home, watching on my tablet, with only fussy cutting to keep me occupied. All I want to do is stack and whack up a storm. 🥺 LOVED this so much. I have to do this, asap. Thanks for sharing! Ratgervthan thinking you said nothing of consequence for half an hour, I was avidly listening to you. You are so calming and fun. ❤ Belinda xxx
In card making, we call this stack, cut & shuffle. I will certainly be “whacking” some card fronts instead of cutting them neatly!! I needed a quick card idea to meet my goals for the month. Love love love how they turned out! Our weather just keeps going lower and lower. I feel for the Florida football players coming to town as the temps and windchill will be dangerous for the game on Sunday. We had snow earlier in the week, but now it’s just frozen piles. My Pomeranian just walks across the snow. Her dad shoveled her a path which uses to get to the back of the yard where she goes rogue! Stay warm!!
Good morning Gayle🙏😘❤️. I just enjoy watching your creativity come alive cause anything you do is just so awesome. Also, when you were decorating one of the tags with a word and you had kind and I thought of Bee Kind and as I thought it you said it.👍🏻😁. It amazes me how creative I am when I’m watching your videos cause I always say what you’re about to do or say. I just love it. So, I do hope you have an awesome and blessed rest of your day. Hugs love and. Blessings friend. Sue M. Clearwater, Florida ❤️😘🙏🥰👏🏻👏🏻❌⭕️❌⭕️
I saw these tags this morning when I was watching you creating Autumnal pages you got from as soon as I saw the tags I wanted to make some! And I found the video 😅 I’ve watched you for a while now, I really enjoy your scrappy Saturdays. Thanks for sharing your creativity 😊
Love Anne Kenlon's channel and watched her video a week or so ago. Tried quilting 20 years ago and stack and whack was the name of the quilt. 😁 Nice video, thanks
Going gluten free has helped me a ton too, Gayle! I knew it bothered my stomach, but I didn't realize how much more pain I was in, how much it was impacting my sleep and my skin and my mood. Some Italian restaurants have gluten free pasta, so you might be able to get your go-to with gluten free pasta instead of the angel hair it normally comes with.
Good morning Gayle!! What a unique idea for collaging. Easy peasy and not having to think about it. Love this!! So cold here I couldn't work in my shed yesterday. Heater only got it up to 38 degrees in there!! 😂 But I was able to get a stack of fabric and lace clusters made while watching TV. Going to hand stitch them today. This arctic weather can go away anytime now!! 🤣 Have an awesome Saturday...💜
This is a cool idea! Never heard of this technique but I’m not a quilter. It’s really cool. I had Jeff watch some since he enjoys doing collages with me. He thought he would enjoy it😊. Kiran was in here and watched when I ask Jeff to watch and he said to be sure to tell you he watched too and likes your art. He ask if he could make you some art and would I send it to you and I said of course, Gayle would love that😊. Love and hugs to you❤️. It’s suppose to be -22 in the morning, brrr!
Hey Gayle! I did go over to Anne's channel and watched a few videos. This was one of them. Whack n Stack! 😅 Sounds like another good saying for another sweatshirt line. "Stack n Whack! And Have A Grateful Day! 😊" 😅 Loved this one! 😅 Love your humor & laugh, my friend! Good to be back! Sue 😊❤😂
Good morning Gayle. These are so cool! After your video yesterday I went over to Anne's channel and subscribed. I enjoyed her video and looking forward to seeing more. I did tell her you sent me. The Reacher show is really good but the books by Lee Child are so much better and there are many available. I started reading the books before the show came on Amazon. I have watched Jack Ryan on Amazon as well. It is very violent as well but I enjoyed it. Thanks for such an great start to my morning Gayle. Stay warm and safe. Big hugs. 💙💙💙
Hi Gayle ☀️. Thanks so much for the shout out 💕. Quilting stack & whack does not go quite as fast as the paper version. We have to cut pieces with a rotary cutter. We have to have straight edges so we can sew them back together. I must say I like the paper tag version a lot! Just as unique as the fabric ones.
HI Gayle!! Love these tags and the way they are constructed!! They would work with any theme!! Will have to save this video to try later!! TFS!! Hugs, Liz :)
So fun, so fun, I just love it that everyone passes around new and fun ideas. These are not only fun, but so cool when finished. I really love the blue set. This girl is going to make some today from my Theadosa Square Paper Pad. Thanks a bunch for all that you do.
☕️Good Morning Gayle! 😊❤ 🐝 I checked out Anne’s channel yesterday and watched her video for the Stack and whack tags. Great project! Glad you did them. Xxx
I have to admit, this is very fun looking!! This could also be adapted to making journal cards as well, couldn't it? Thanks for telling us about this procedure. It always pays to watch your videos, Gayle!! 😄
Very fun idea and as a process improvement retired professional who is passion about paper crafts I would suggest inking all of the edges around the pattern paper before you paperclip them together. They are loose enough and you literally can go around and ink all four edges while you hold them in one hand loosely… Hope that makes sense. After you make your first “whack” do the same thing on the two edges that are held by a paperclip and continue to do all the edges before you lay them out on top of your tags. You end up with a minimum time investment inking edges🎉. Oh gosh, and if you really want to live dangerously, just go ahead and put the glue on the tag and then add all five pieces… Versus taking the time to glue each piece of the tag. Trust me it all works out they take a little practice. Have fun.
Good morning Gayle! I seen the title of your video and thought Gayle woke up and chose violence today 😂😂😂 My Mom has done stack and whack when she makes certain quilts. Thank you for your fun videos😊
Hi and hugs to you. 🥰 I had never heard of this until I saw Anne do it and now you’re doing it so I think I’m going to maybe have to try it. I’m probably going to come back and watch the rest later. I need to take my amended tax return to the post office because I screwed up my taxes and they came after me. My tax preparation software that I use doesn’t support an amended return, probably because it’s free, so I had to do it the old-fashioned way by mailing it. I should’ve known when I filed my taxes last year when I had to pay way less than I normally have to pay that I did something wrong, oh well, this brings it back to what I normally have to pay. 💰 💰
I love this 💡 idea. I am in a card swap for February and was looking for a new idea. BINGO 🎉 I have several pretty spring papers. Each card must include a flower so my spring papers will work perfectly for this. 😊❤ BTW I love ❤ Reacher too. I've seen the first 6. 👍 I also went to Ann's channel, checked out her cool ideas 💡 and became a subbie. ❤ I live in the NE Nevada area and we are getting the cold and snow too. Stay warm and safe.
Good morning, sweet Gayle! How fun does this look. I was already a subbie of Anne's channel. Love what she does. Hands permitting, I hope to do this soon. The healing of my right hand is going slowly, but the Lord has me covered! Prayers would be greatly appreciated! Have a fabulous Saturday, my dear friend. Xoxo hugs 🩷
Such a great idea! Love this! ❤ My daughter-in-law had one of those Baconater on pretzel bun and she said she couldn't taste the pretzel. This coming from a woman who loves her pretzels.
love it! Gotta try this with tags! I made a Stack N Whack quilt for my husband many years ago in Americana fabrics, and it is gorgeous! So fun!! Love this idea!
I love you Stack-n-Whack tags! I have very fond memories of making a Stack-n-Whack quilt from years ago and I will definitely have to do this series. So fun! Thanks for sharing.
I thought that sounded familiar! I did greeting cards that way, then embossed them with a beautiful embossing folder. Gorgeous!! Thanks for showing how great the tags came out!! The inking of the pieces really makes them stand out!
This project is fun. I’ve made two Stack & Whack quilts over 20 years ago. It’s cold, sunny but the wind is blowing the snow everywhere. We had gotten some more snow overnight and it’s negative temps for the next several days for highs. Have a blessed day!
A little late today. No power since yesterday. My house was 57° when the heat finally came on. I had to recharge every device and thaw out. Hope you had a great day. I have done stack n whack because I am a former quilter....fun idea!!!
Morning Gayle, you are such a great teacher. These are pretty. I did go over to Anne's YT channel and watched her video on the Stack 'N Whack. I have pulled out a few of my Tim Holtz Back Drops to start my pile. I am so excited about this new approach to making tags. ❤❤😊😊
One thing I loved about this technique, it takes away the sometimes difficult decision of what scrap to use, where. Each of these looked so cool. The inking gave it a marbeling effect. ❤
Good morning Gayle!! Happy Scrappy Saturday! What a fun idea! Quick and easy, just stack and whack. Who knew?? 😁 All that arctic air is coming all the way down here to New Orleans area and we are predicted to get down to the low teens which is extremely rare for us! Even talking about possibility of a few snow flurries! The grandkids would love that since they’ve never seen snow in person before. Sounds like a really good time for a big pot of chili to warm the bones! Stay safe and warm. Enjoy time with your son. TFS and have a fabulous weekend!! 💞💕Hugs!!
I LOVE Reacher! Read every book. This was fun. Anne just got a new subscriber! Fun mass make project. I'm going to do tags, pockets, journal cards and bellybands. I can't eat bread, so I order mine without the bun... baconator's are so good!🙃
You had krusteaz honey cornbread with chili and I had krusteaz honey cornbread with homemade vegetable soup. Yum! Not as cold here in SC but homemade always warms the heart and soul. Love the tags will have to try with my next journal. Hugs.
WOW WEEE! I can't wait to make some of these! We've been eating Keto chicken tortilla less soup, it warms you to the bone😋😋I am with you on the gluten free, it's been about 7 years for me now and what a difference. Blessing's friend, thanks 🤗
Good morning, Gayle ❤. I do stack-N-Whack in quilting. This is so cool done in paper! Love this. My hubby is doing much better after his fall. Series suggestion: Everwood on Prime. So good. Have a great Saturday. Off to watch the grandson play basketball today. Hugs 💕
Morning Debbie! So glad to hear hubby is on the mend. Thanks for the recommendation! We will check it out! Good luck to your grandson! Katie had her crosstown game last night and she had 17 points! 🎉👏❤
Love this method. I have seen it with quilting but never even crossed my mind to apply it to paper. Crazy! I was just watching A Jeweld Design and she was doing a lot of glueing with fabric-tac and was wearing a silicone fingertip to press the lace down without getting glue on her finger. What a great way to preserve a manicure!
Mornin' Gayle. I've done something similar. Today's video is full of inspiration. I think I will change it up a bit. Crinkle the paper to look more like crackled glass. Thinking light colors and maybe blue ink on the "cracks". Hope I have time to try out this idea later today. 🤞 TFS Hope you have a great day. Stay warm! (Out temps have plummeted here. Winter finally hit and hit hard. 🥶)
I've seen these tags done with cutting; these are the first torn ones I've seen. Also, I dis not know if it had a name. TFS I hope you have a delightful day. Love&hugs ❤
Hi, Gayle! I love this technique. I had never seen it before I watched the video on Anne's channel. I love your spin on inking the edges of the pieces. Thanks for the referral - I watched a few videos and plan to go back for more!
Good morning Gayle. I went to Anne's channel yesterday & saw her do these...Somehow I knew this would be on scrappy Sat. lol! I used to quilt, so I know this technique, but never dreamed about doing it with paper....who knew? Love how yours turned out. Have a beautiful day! xo
Good morning Gayle🤗 We are getting another storm this weekend, so I am making Chili. I love chili and put it on my baked potato its yummy. Have a fabulous weekend, stay warm and cozy. 💕Hugs

Aw, that’s so nice, Kiran! If you make me a picture, I will put it on the wall in my craft room! Thank you, buddy! ❤
This is so cool! You could use inks gold along the edges and it would look like kitsugi!

Where you used the lighter color, I used gold patterned paper. Stunning!!
Those were fun watching you make. I will definitely try. TFS Loved the ones you decorated too!!
This project is fun. I’ve made two Stack & Whack quilts over 20 years ago. It’s cold, sunny but the wind is blowing the snow everywhere. We had gotten some more snow overnight and it’s negative temps for the next several days for highs. Have a blessed day!
I think this is a brilliant technique, & you explained it so clearly! Thanks for sharing 😊❤
👋🤗❤️What a great scrappy project that we can use in every journal. Wack and stack 👍🏼 it’s going to be additive!
Ohh I can’t wait to try these! They look like so much fun
A little late today. No power since yesterday. My house was 57° when the heat finally came on. I had to recharge every device and thaw out. Hope you had a great day. I have done stack n whack because I am a former quilter....fun idea!!!
Oh gosh, Mindy! So sorry about your power! Not a good time for power to go out! 😮❤
Fun idea. We should look at more quilting patterns for ideas.
Morning Gayle, you are such a great teacher. These are pretty. I did go over to Anne's YT channel and watched her video on the Stack 'N Whack. I have pulled out a few of my Tim Holtz Back Drops to start my pile. I am so excited about this new approach to making tags. ❤❤😊😊
Morning Wanda! ❤
One thing I loved about this technique, it takes away the sometimes difficult decision of what scrap to use, where. Each of these looked so cool. The inking gave it a marbeling effect. ❤
Oooh, I will have to try these! They look really fun. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah them Florida guys are in for a cold surprise. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
What fun! These turned out amazing. I saved this video to watch again later and follow along with the method.
💞💕Hugs!!
Morning Junell! Guess what…-31 here this morning! Egad! 😳🥶❤
Love this idea, Gayle. Thanks for sharing. As a beginner this is very doable.
Very beautiful tags I ❤️ it
I LOVE Reacher! Read every book. This was fun. Anne just got a new subscriber! Fun mass make project. I'm going to do tags, pockets, journal cards and bellybands. I can't eat bread, so I order mine without the bun... baconator's are so good!🙃
Great Idea…I wouldn’t have thought they’d do no bread. Good to know! Thanks for supporting Anne! ❤
Love this ... Going to a crop retreat next weekend. Going to take stuff with me to make some quick tags.😊
So simple but so clever. Love these.😊
I love this idea! Great for card fronts, too!
You had krusteaz honey cornbread with chili and I had krusteaz honey cornbread with homemade vegetable soup. Yum! Not as cold here in SC but homemade always warms the heart and soul. Love the tags will have to try with my next journal. Hugs.
I had to come back and tell you I tried this with the tags and LOVE IT!! I am addicted to it now!
Love this and what a fun title!! 🤣. I’m doing some collaging at the moment and I’m new to it so I will certainly try this next. Thanks for sharing!
Love the wack & stack idea
WOW WEEE! I can't wait to make some of these! We've been eating Keto chicken tortilla less soup, it warms you to the bone😋😋I am with you on the gluten free, it's been about 7 years for me now and what a difference. Blessing's friend, thanks 🤗

This is terrific! Thanks for sharing another technique! ❤
These really are fun! Thinking of all the ways I can use this very cool technique. Thanks for sharing 😁
Good morning Gayle! This is a cool technique for tags. I did something similar to this when I use to make cards. Fun stuff😊
Good morning, sweet friend! ❤️
So many ideas you have!! Love them all!
Great job Gayle love this technique thanks for bringing it to us.
Good morning 🌞 gayle ❤ 😊

Hi, Gayle! I love this technique. I had never seen it before I watched the video on Anne's channel. I love your spin on inking the edges of the pieces. Thanks for the referral - I watched a few videos and plan to go back for more!
Hi Tatiana! Thanks for supporting Anne! ❤
Good morning Gayle. I went to Anne's channel yesterday & saw her do these...Somehow I knew this would be on scrappy Sat. lol! I used to quilt, so I know this technique, but never dreamed about doing it with paper....who knew? Love how yours turned out. Have a beautiful day! xo
