very well explained. Playing open D makes for those i call it distance feel, acres of cornfields, long roads, desolate places. All that comes to mind, and i find the notes to it. A fun way to practice, and time flies by!
Yet another excellent lesson, thanks. I adapted this slightly to my usual way, and performed 'When The Levee Breaks' almost the first day I had the resonator....superb vamp....
I love listening to you play and I love your style. I have a dobro I’ve been trying to learn to play for years but it’s hard switching from playing piano to the dobro. Maybe one of these days I’ll figure it out. (Melody Rader)
Thank you. Please consider purchasing instructional video CD 1. It covers Open D, which is a great place to start learning this style. www.ebay.com - Search: keni lee
Thank you. Lesson 1 B is recorded. I will be editing on Monday, and will have it posted in the upcoming week. Enjoy your practice. Please consider donating to the fund.
This is a great lesson and I thank you for it. I've been struggling with learning Delta Style for a long time -- I'm almost thinking about going down to the crossroads at midnight to sell my soul if needed. But I think its more practical to fund your future lessons. Please keep breaking it down to tiny bites.
lol Ya, only the good Lord knows what could come along by dealing with the Devil under that pale moonlight. Thanks for your support and comment. Enjoy your practice.
Keni Lee Burgess Thank you Are those Metal or plastic? i tried playing with fingerpicks but i didn't realy got into it hopefully with your lessions i'll handle them right *sry if i wrote something wrong
They are plastic. They fit snug and don't slip like metal. I play on the street acoustically, so picks are essential for volume. Yes, they take patience and practice to be able to use well.
Thank you. I have done a live lesson in the past, but currently I am working on these "Student Funded Lessons. Although, I have made time to dedicate to this project, I have other work that fills my days.
You're the best man, thank you to keep blues alive
Thank you for your kind words.

You don't go to the crossroads to make no deal; the deal's already been made. You go down there to call it off.

6:08 are you only using the slide on the first string, or on the first and fourth string as well?
It doesn't matter. How does it sound? Correct or out of tune / timing?
Hello Keni, what do you think about Mule Resonator? Do you think its like National? Its better ..?
I've never played one, so I cannot comment. I've owned various National Resophonic guitars over the years, and they are truly quality instruments.
@@KeniLeeBurgess thank you keni for the reply.
Just getting through the first 3 CD's- Enjoying the journey. It would be AWESOME if you offered personal lessons via Skype for us remedial misfits!
