    Steve is quite a unique individual. I studied guitar with him in Washington State and FT Worden park in the 90s. He is a master of the country blues.

    Steve James; an incredible instructor, musicologist, luthier, raconteur, singer/songwriting performing artist. Put him on your bucket list of must see live artists!! If you're in Seattle check out his luthier shop in the Industrial District.

    Cool. Can you put a mic up for your voice.

    Steve, are you using electric strings on your hotplate system or are those regular acoustic strings? I've got a hotplate on my el trov and it just sounds dead (i'm using regular acoustic strings on the recommendation of a few peeps in the know, but I'm thinking they're out of their minds). I can see you're plugged in, but it's hard to know what's mic and what's amp.

      +Andrew Scott Never mind. Now that I actually take a look at it, you're clearly not plugged in at all.

      He uses a really, really hot condensor mic in his live shows.

    what tuning?

  • @Dragitall
    @Dragitall 9 лет назад +2

    Kind of a half-assed lesson...runs right up to the plate and the says "screw it" and bunts. He's a great teacher, normally, but he doesn't really teach the piece. It'd be great if you could teach the whole thing, Steve....pretty please?

      how about using your ear? Or do you need someone to show you everything? Id be willing to bet even if he did you couldn't get it.

    Leon McAuliffe gets credit for writing this great tune calling it the Steel Guitar Rag but its the same tune which is ridiculous. Mr. Weaver has been cheated.
