When I’m out shopping and I find a wood home decor piece that I like the size, shape, and character of, but I don’t love the finish on it, I try to turn it into something that will fit the aesthetic
    I was going for.
Of course, you can sand pieces to remove the stain, but sometimes it’s challenging to sand all the little nooks and crannies, and
often times with sanding, you’re also removing the character that the piece has.
Using citrus strip is a great way to remove a finish without sanding.
The finishing wax that I use for this project is called Jolie white finishing wax. I first discovered this product when I was refinishing an oak piece with the ceruse method. I loved how it turned out but when I went to put the protective clear wax on top, the piece started to look orange again. After much research, I came across this product and it worked beautifully! I was able to protect my piece without it turning orange.

I love that you rescued these pieces , keeping them out of the landfill, and repurposed them. Great job! Maybe I need to visit the Goodwill bins......

I’m so blessed to have found your channel. I am so in love with your videos and all your projects. You are so amazing. Ive already watched all your projects and can’t wait to see more new ones. Thank you so much for being an inspiration to recreate. I have so many things in my garage that I don’t know what to do with them. But watching your videos motivated me to probably change the colors on some of my items, add a little personal touch and give them as a Christmas or birthday present. Thanks again. God bless you.

Easy off is better than citrastrip on pieces like that. Try it, you will be amazed.

Just looking at your videos. When I saw that little wood stool....my very first thought was, "I sure hope that's not going to be for any type of food display." Our 2 boys used one nearly like that when teaching them to use the toilet...and with many misses! Was glad to see a thorough clean.
