I was about to buy a company and somehow this song made me realise that what I really wanted was spending time with my kids that are 3 and 1 years old. I wouldn't be able to take vacations and be always prepared to received a phone call for atleast a dozen of years. At the last minute I turned it down and only wanted to be a simple worker. Thank you Metric. Suddenly everything seems less heavy.
3 kids now. 7, 5 and 2. Best decision of my life. Stayed a worker and let some one else buy it. Still at the same company and happy. This song is still playing with my emotions over this.

Definitely buy there first first 3 albums and their b-sides grow up and blow away also their DVD live at Metropolis and "knives don't have your back" Emily Haines and the soft skeleton CD and "what is free to a good home" I have everything else they have put out but these things are essential 😉 or just try to download/listen to the stuff where you can I like having things I can hold in my hands tangible things are so much more satisfying than downloads to me...😉

Got the CD in the mail yesterday morning and trust me, this is the best song on the album. Art if Doubt (referring to the specific song) is pretty damn good too.

Every song these guys put out is just a work of art. Every single instrument (and Emily's voice) is always used to full effect, and I absolutely love it. This isn't even the kind of song I would normally like but far out this is so gorgeous.
I have always loved Metric since I first heard Old World Underground but this song now speaks to me on such a new level. I was in a dark place for a few years and wishing for death until I met someone special recently that gave me hope for the future.
Let me be clear. These words, in a sense, have been spoken to me before. Sound good, but it was a fleeting moment where I moved out of the friend zone with a person who really loved the idea of me, just not me. Sounds tragic but the reality is that the idea of her was so much different than the fantasy I built up. We shifted apart and I only hope she found the true love that I have. This song, for me, captures that feeling. I miss her.
This song describes my current situation. Dumb wesley, always making the mistakes that leave me alone. Worse than that is that she doesnt even think of me and im hurting for her. Its almost too much to deal with.
