OMG!! I had so much fun with this design! I am new (obliviously from my enthusiasm 😂) and had yet to work with Aluminum. Man is it great for beginners! Thank you for sharing!!
wonderful tutorial you did such an excellent, job, and you made it so easy to follow, and i liked the bracelett, such cute detailing you did at the ends of the bracelett, with that heart shape and it was nicely shaped at the other end where you did the curled in ends, it looked so nice, you finished it off lovely. thank you for making such a nice easy to follow tutorial. I will try this out, i really like the shapes in this bracelett and the way it curves. Laura in England
I really like this bracelet. I had some aluminum wire from my garden’s electrical fence and I also had some resin beads leftover from a sun catcher project and wahlaa I created the bracelet and it’s beautiful
Well that was fun. I didn't have the correct wire, so I used 1mm strand of copper coloured aluminum wire and 2mm of actual copper wire. The copper wire was a little trickier to work with but I think it turned out ok. It certainly doesn't bend as easy. Thank you so much for this tutorial. It truly was fun!! ❤️❤️✌️❤️❤️
Thank you for posting this video tutorial on how you made this bracelet! I love getting great ideas and then implementing them in my own ways, especially from talented artists like yourself for inspiration. I plan on doing this same project with 20ga and 22ga wire, along with a variety of beads. Would it be alright if I posted a video of my creation and provided a link to this video, to show where I got the inspiration from? I wouldn't have been able to come up with the design without your help and I definitely want to give you credit for this design! Again, I thank you for posting this inspirational tutorial!
Thank you! Yes I don't mind at all if you make a video with your version. I'm glad I could inspire you. And thank you so much for the credit. I'd love to see it when it's done.
Such a gorgeous design and I love that you use aluminum wire. Thank you for sharing. I teach jewelry making now and then at a non- profit organization, the students are not charged, they bring some supplies, I donate some, I purchase some on behalf of the organization and am reimbursed. Am I allowed to teach this beautiful design of yours? I will give you credit of course and direct them to your Etsy store.
I would love to make this but I’m so unsure of the durability of this super soft aluminum wire. How easily can it be dented or misshapen from every day wear?
I guess it depends how rough you are with jewelry. I don't have any problems wearing mine. Yes it can get scratched or dented easier than other types of wire. Mine probably has a few minor scratches after wearing it 25 times or so, but its only noticeable very close up. And yes it can get misshapen, but then you just bend it back. I don't have this happen while i'm wearing it but could happen if you don't store it carefully.
So after I cut the "16 gauge wire" and started the process I noticed that the beads would not fit. So I looked up the conversions for a 1mm wire and it's actually a 18guage piece that's needed not 16 or 17 gauge.
Hi Pamela, Thank you for noticing that. All my wire is by mm so I had to look up what the gauge is. Apparently the site I went to was incorrect. I wish there was a way to correct it in the video, but I did put it at the top in the description.
@@YarnNecklaces no worries. Totally understand. The bracelet came out beautiful and I'm contemplating on making a similar one with silver plated wire. 😉
Hi, I just wanted to ask if it had to be 6mm beads, could I change this to something bigger or would that affect the pattern too much?also with the ring could the 4mm bead be changed? Thank you so much for your time and uploads ❤😊
Yes I also use 8mm beads for the bracelet. It comes out about the same size as using 9 6mm. You can use other size beads for the ring too. I just wouldn't go to big because it gets awkward on your finger.
@@YarnNecklaces Thank you so much for the quick response ❤️ looking forward to making this now with some beads I have. Once again thank you for your time and excellent videos. 😊
Hi, Just finished watching this video and the bracelet is nicely done. I've been working with wire for a bit now and I'm trying to do more with wire and sell them however at times I find myself stuck and not knowing exactly what do. So, I'm always watching RUclips for newer pieces and the way to go about making them and for those that are kind of a bit tricky I'm always asking the designer "if I can make it and sell it" before I do it. That said may I sell your design on my online shop as well pop ups?
Hi Maria, Thank you for the compliments! And thank you for asking my permission to sell your finished pieces. I don't mind you selling them. In fact, one of the main reasons I started my youtube channel was to give makers ideas on things to make and sell. But I do have an etsy shop and I sell them there. I'm not sure if you have an Etsy shop, but you may not want to list them there since we would be competitors. 😉 Good luck with your sales!
@@YarnNecklaces Thank you for the quick response. No, I don't have an etsy shop and my shop is with another platform. Thank you very much for your permission and keep that creative mind working and giving us ideas. I also just finished watching a ring you made with the same setup and it's pretty cute and different, and I think I'm going to take a stab at it. Actually, I will go now and start watching all of your handy work on wire wraps and again if I can make can I sell them?
Thank you, I sell them to customers and wear them myself, but not everyday. I think as long as your customers use common sense they hold up. Aluminum wire doesn't tarnish but I still would use it around harsh chemicals or swimming.
Well the bracelet will be quite large but they will work. I would cut the wires longer because you will need the extra wire to go around the bead. But then you won't need as many beads so I'm not sure how long. If you try it, let me know how it works out.
Beautiful! But I would suggest using nylon jaw pliers or applying Tool Magic to your regular pliers so that the wire doesn’t get marred when you squeeze it or twist it.
That is a great idea. I have a set of nylon pliers but they must be the cheap kind because they are very slippery. I have heard of tool magic. Have you tried it? If so what do you think of it?
@@YarnNecklaces I really like it. You can dip your regular pliers into it, wait for it to dry, and then use those pliers like you would the nylon jaw pliers. The wire won’t get scratched or marred.
Quick question, did you mean 12 gauge or 14 gauge wire? 12 gauge wire is 2.05 mm. 14 gauge wire is about 1.62 mm. From the video, it looks to me like you may be using a 12 gauge wire. Can you confirm?
CORRECTION ON SUPPLIES: 1mm wire should be 18 Gauge.
Also 2mm wire is 12 gage not 14 😉

What is the difference between using aluminium or Cooper? Thank you!
You can use copper. Copper is a little stiffer so your wire didn't necessarily need to be as thick.

Hello quick question. When you started the first wrap with the 1mm wire did you wrap towards the heart or from the heart down
you want to wrap from the heart down since this is the direction the bracelet will be made.

Can I use copper wire to make this bracelet
Yes you can. The gauge probably won't need to be as thick because copper wire is stiffer than aluminum.
Will the aluminum wire stand up to customers' wear and tear? I love it!

This is really cute. I've never wrapped with aluminum, how does it hold up since it is such a soft wire
I've made a bracelet with this type of wire many years ago and I love it! I open mine like she did hers in the video. I don't wear it often though.
You're right the wire is soft, but since it's thick it gives it a little more stiffness and it holds up well.
